My car originally recommended charging daily to 90%, so I did that. Then it went to 80%, so I did that. Then I rewatched a few battery videos with Jeff Dahn and concluded that 74% is the best for high-nickel chemistries. The range is still plenty for daily use.
Im in your boat bought my 2022 and way upside down on the value it is what it is I sitll love the car!. I love my FSD I dropped 12k and use it every day cant wait for v12
Cheers to you! Too bad they don’t have a special trade in credit for people like us. Oh well! At least it’s a great car. I’m glad to hear you like FSD. I tried it and it wasn’t my cup of tea, but I can see a good use for it under certain conditions. Most importantly, I’m glad you are happy with it!
I have never understood the, "I can't buy another M3 after the price fall." Dont the resale price fall in line with the new price. Obviously you lose 20% on leaving the forecourt with any new car.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Liked and Subscribed. 43k miles is wild. Folks who charge at home are always discouraging people from buying ev. It really depends on where you live, and how you use your car. I know plenty of people who live in apartments in the city and suburbs who can't charge at home. What these folks living in the other parts of the country don't know, is these long range Tesla's give you 350-420 miles of range in the city. They can go over week without charging (you couldn't/LoL) and if you find one near a store or restaurant, you can easily find yourself rushing back to not incur overcharges. My car, M3LR, has about 20k miles but has been getting 225 wh/mi.
Thanks for watching! Getting ready to post my 2yr 83K mile review. I’ve changed my view on charging since filming this after talking to several people that don’t charge at home. You’re absolutely right that it can work out great depending on your use case. I blast through 60-80% charge almost every day, so my view is biased. I wish I could get you wh/mi. I’m averaging 277! What tires are you running? I got the Nokian One and my efficiency went to crap😭
Remove or lower the volume on music, it adds nothing to how you are using it and only makes it worse. Second, don’t be one of those guys asking for people to help you out and subscribe before you provided ANY value. Good luck with the channel.
These cars are great! If you can find one for $20K it's going to be an amazing car for the money. Even though I'm super bummed about the loss in value, I still love my car. It takes care of me on my long days and hundreds of miles. Let me know how it turns out for you.
I’m not sure where you’re located but out here in Southern California I go to American tire depot. I don’t know if they are the best place to go but it has worked out so far. I hope that helps.
@@TheDrivenDave They’re all priced at 25k, basically to eat up that EV tax credit but its fine, I’m waiting for a low mileage one in that criteria to pop up. Do you think under 40k is okay? Theres already a few there
Honest review the home charging part got me really. Not supposed to charge it up everyday personally I think it’s silly everyone doesn’t have a house so it really got to be mindful I pay 12 a month sounds better than paying each time I go still not expensive as paying for gas but telling someone not to get a ev if you don’t have a home charger was the stupidest shit to say 😂😂😂
I’m glad it’s working out for you. To be clear, I wasn’t criticizing anyone for not having a home charger, just that the main convenience of an EV is being charged up while you’re home. Thanks for watching.
Nice report. I love mine as well. I got it 3 years ago and have 48K on it. It's my baby❤
Very nice!
Good talk, would prefer without music 👍
Thanks!

I didn't know about 74%. I usually drive 120+ miles per day, so 80% is sometimes cutting it a little close.
Cut out the music, it’s off putting trying to listen to what you’re saying.
Or turn it down, please.
I HATE when youtubers add in awful or loud music over their dialogue but i dont find this that bad.. still better without it, tho.
Sorry about that. It seemed fine in the “editing room”, but I’ll put it lower in the future.
Doesn’t bother all folks. I thought it was fine. 🤷♂️
Thanks for the support! I had no idea my music was going to be such a controversial point. LOL Definitely a learning experience.

Not too far behind you: 14 months, 3 days of ownership and 38K miles. Higher than average, for sure, but not way high.
It handles the miles well! I've done another 7k since I filmed this video. No issues!
good info, detailed honest opinion, I like the Cali driver inserts lol
Thanks for the nice words. Much appreciated!!

It’s lost way more than 20%, but I know cars are usually a loss. Just disappointing is all. Great for the newer buyers.

I'm planning to replace my 2012 Civic with a used 2022 M3P next summer. This is good insight, I'm gonna check out your other videos.
Thank you!
12:47: same. 1 alignment as my tires were wearing the same way.
That was a great list of cars..I approve

Thanks for watching. The music seemed fine in the editing room, but the people have spoken and I'll do better next time. LOL
Any experience with any pre-21 model 3s? I hear the suspension is better on 21+ model 3s, not as crazy stiff, a bit softer ride?
I had a 2018 loaner. I don’t remember the suspension so much. The interior was pretty different though
Thank you for not being another TH-cam AI channel! Lol, so tired of those.
Thanks for the kind words!
Fsd is worth the money now. $100 a month. 1 free month.
Used low mileage 2022 Model 3s are going $20K so is it worth depreciation hit? BTW we're buying one.

just curious, why do you drive so much? over 3k miles a month is a lot of driving.
I’m a musician and on faculty at several schools that are all far from each other. It all adds up quickly😂
Just a suggestion; when you’re talking, don’t have the radio playing.
Where did you get your car's alignment? I paid $270. That's the flat rate at tesla. Other places won't do teslas. Please share

@@TheDrivenDave thank you I tried three different places and they said they wouldn't do Tesla's
Awesome video, definitely will look into getting a 2022 Standard Range Plus hopefully with a tax credit 👍🏽
Thank you! There are some smoking good deals right now. Good luck!

It will feel brand new. Mine has 80k now and still drives the same
@@TheDrivenDave awesome! Last question, do you have car insurance directly through tesla? I heard it’s cheaper than others
I have Geico. It just went up considerably. I need to look into Tesla insurance.
53K on the original tires is surprising. I was thinking maybe 35K. Good to know.
You just have to stay out of the right pedal😂
thanks!
How much is ur insurance cost if you dont mind me asking
Close to $300 per month. It seems to have gone up for everyone I know.
Damn. My insurance went up $250 this year but I am still at $75 per month.
@@BurnseysRThow is you insurance $75 a month helppp lol
@@naimahmcknight9331 probably age and clean driving record. I also have multiple policies which helps. I can’t believe how brutal it is for everyone.
53k in a year? Crazy amout
