Weird tunes for wrapping wire. Thanks for this. Very informative.

But they work. Especially the transition to cinematic epic sound

@@Rapiersdelight Funny! I thought that was the worst part. I have a hearing impairment which causes me to actually hear too much. So music becomes an distraction.
      Thanks for the reply.
      Have a pleasant day.

Recently had this issue with my model 1845 french infantry officer sabre. A small earthquake in my country managed to drop my sabre from its stand causing the brass wire to loosen and eventually fall off completly. This video might help!

I have an antique saber with a backstrap and a broken wire. It took me hours to get the wire to fit under the backstrap to the point where it is now somewhat stable. It involved pincers and one twist at a time. I feel some of your "pain".

Nice work 🤘💀 sounds simple enough, just rewrap the wire lol. Nothing is ever simple is it?
    Turned out great though

      “How hard could it be???”
The biggest surprise was the composite core, so doing the drilling was quite hard, and I could not make a good cavity in the shape I wanted for the wire to sit. That made it very tricky when I was using fast setting glue to seat the tip before the glue took. Next time I’d probably use a silicone glue and just set everything overnight.
