La Jolla won't sell anything over 25 mil unless it comes with good land. This house has very little regardless of size and the view.
It found itself in a zip code where mansion enthusiasts are not there. The price would have gone higher if it were in Beverly Hills.
This is an old house over 10 years old
This house was on the market for at least seven years. That's why it sold for a little over the original asking price.
I was planning on buying this, but Alicia Keys beat me to it.

The house .... it makes me want to cry, it is unbelievable, and the views are unbelievably heavenly ... tears literally came to my eyes in the previous video I saw. It looks so peaceful.

It is the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego, California not La Jolla, California.
San Diego is very broad when explaining the location of a house. Its like saying Los Angeles. That could vary drastically.

If someone is buying a house, they're gonna want to know what neighborhood its in. San Diego could be north county, La jolla, Coronado, Mission Bay, Del Cerro, Downtown etc...

Considered a Masterpiece? It's nice but eh... I wouldn't call it a masterpiece though. Looks like there is more outdoor living space(Patios) than indoor living space. I guess once can say being situated on the cliffside its a good use of resources but on the same note plenty of builders have done it. Check out some Blue Heron homes...
