I love Tim's style of immersive learning. When Tim wants to learn anything new, he immerses into it to the exclusion of everything else. Short, powerful, focussed sprint, not aiming for awards and rewards, just enough to reach a professional level and teach others. Great job Tim. Kudos.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Your passion for sharing your knowledge and what you’ve learned thus far was beyond infectious. I would also like to add I’ve never seen you so relaxed and at ease sharing your teachings. This says a lot about your love for playing the instrument but also about the healing and meditative benefits we receive from this instrument. I’m incredibly happy for you Tim! Keep up your awesomeness and big thanks for all your inspiration throughout the years ✨🙇‍♂️💖

FYI Tim - that 1st handpan is tuned to a mode of harmonic minor (one of my favorites) and you can combine it nicely with other instruments (like harmonicas etc) that are tuned to a-minor

Sometimes it's good to mess around first and if you like that, then move on to learning more. Love that this shows how to mess around. Things with keys and strings and reeds can be very technical. It's good to have options that can be practiced more innately and without alot of complications between you and producing sound you enjoy. Making music can be a very healthy form of expression and meditation when other forms aren't working. It's a worthy outlet to think about.

I have been listening to Hang for ages. I was privileged to see Joaquin Lopez in Pushkar play it live. It was pure bliss.
I thought the original company stopped producing these and shifted to making Gubals instead. Anyway, I hope to own and learn one in the near future - when I can afford it. The reasons you listed is exactly why I want to one so bad! The kind available in India are different kind of hand pans. So let's see...

    thank you for this, man.
very refreshing to see a constructive approach to what many ppl are starting to suffer from, these last few days _ “too much” free time. dealing with attachment to our everyday go-to things..taking them for granted...and ending up taking our lives for granted..
our limitations are, in deed, almost always within ourselves..
i can see you’re learning, and you being who you are.....will very likely be close to mastering the Hang Drum, in little time.
    cheers from Portugal. ;)
