This guy runs "Olympic Speed", and paired with Charles Brantley (from Mich. St.), I really feel sorry for the next team that tries to throw deep against the Canes. We have 7 defensive backs coming in, and 5 of these guys are scary-good. Nice to see Mario open up the checkbook and take care of this problem directly.
Plus OJ Frederique already looked like he was going to be a stud coming into his sophomore year. I was just worried about holding on to young pieces having our defense be in such flux (first sucking, then having a lot of coaching changes). Good to see how many of the pieces are really young as well.
I tell you what I want to say: This meat head of a coach have no idea what to do with players so who cares unless the ultimate objective was 'getting players' as you put it. The Meathead has never won a game at The U, as a coach, due to coaching. All his wins were based on the players being more talented than the opponent. Tell me a game that Miami should not have won due to lesser talent that they won? But on the contrary there are plent that he lossed with the better talent. We are basically saying then he is a glorified Director of Recruiting. Well call him that then and not pay him like a top tier coach or something.
NMD Grant How would you line up the Canes Secondary? Brantly is the Nickel,Lucas boundary corner(10.48 100m), Move Damari Brown to Free Safety. Miami now Has the Personnel in the Secondary to compete on *Paper. Hope they Perform.
Lets put the facts out there! Yes, he signed the revenue contract! Its not official yet. Congress hasn't vote on it! However, non of that matters. He wanted to transfer and he gave his paperwork to the Wisconsin athletic department. Once that happen! Wisconsin is supposed to immediately submit his transfer papers to the NCAA and that revenue contract is void out. He also never got any money from that deal! He wanted to transfer back home to South Florida because his father severely sick no sooner after signing the revenue deal! This is not a good look for Wisconsin! Why? Since former HC Bret Bielema was the Wisconsin HC and DC, he established a little pipeline to South Florida. I'm talking about 20 years since 2004 and 2005 when, he was the DC and then became the HC! I live here in Clearwater Florida! That is going to sour the South Florida HS HC coaches of pushing kids to Wisconsin! Hell, its going to sour HS HC here in Central Florida and other parts of Florida, as well. The kid father is sick and Wisconsin was giving him grief! Bad look!
I NEVER understood what Wisconsin's end game was. The optics of this fall out between Lucas and Wisconsin are horrific for Wisconsin. They have severed any recruiting ties with South Florida kids and coaches. What parent in their right mind would allow their kid to sign with Wisconsin?🤷♂️
I think there's just a few schools out there that are in full panic mode and are exploring options in kind of let's see what happens kind of way. Wisconsin's in the damn B1G and that was supposed to be somewhere where you could outbid people on the outside looking in (like a Miami). It's the same head scratching behavior as a UNLV and a Tulsa where they're just flat out promising players money they can't deliver hoping that they're just gonna at least be trapped for the season, and Sluka was like, nah I'm good. It's almost like people didn't realize just how wild west this really was. Surely there were some guard rails somewhere, and then there just weren't any.
But if you look back Mario said when it came to these nil situations he don’t mind players getting experience a year or 2 at another school and then wanting to come back home. Don’t be surprised if Jj decides to stay in college another 2 years that he atleast come home for one 🙌🏾
NMD -Grant - Wisconsin put themselves in this situation. *Iowa with Kaden Proctor had a Similar Situation ,Proctor sign with Iowa NIL Collective but hit Spring Portal Back to Alabama. Iowa didn’t challenge it , like Wisconsin because the Collective is Not Representative of Iowa. *Wisconsin decided to make a stink of it. But really have no leverage in the matter because the payer doesn’t want to play for the School.🏫
It's just like a regular student if you withdraw from the school then what they going to do? Stop you from going to another school?? I been saw that route and surprised some students didn't see that route before him.
UM hire DB Nick Monroe Koi Parich 6'1"200 Spring portal 3 Freshman all-americans + Frederique Poyser inj starters Brown/Richards '23, Patterson Brantley Lucas top 10 secondary in the country.
Will he be able to play 4 the cane's, this revshare deal. Will Wisconsin come 4 him 4 breech of contract, will they lawyer up...will the ncaa step in and say he violated so n so n have to sit a year 🤔...I'll wait and see 👀 great addition if we get him
