My dad bought me, him, and my mom tickets for Metallica in August! We're seeing them in Arlington Texas and going to 6 flags the next day. My mom hasn't really gone on a trip in years (she doesn't live with us, but she loves Metallica so my dad invited her) so when we told her she was super excited! This will be my first ever concert (I'm 19) and I can't wait!! ❤

All kidding aside, it's a little weird watching you going to a Metallica show just like you were going to see "any other" band. I guess it's a generational thing. For me and most of my friends going to see Metallica play live is akin to a religious pilgrimage, no matter how many times you've seen them. So glad you could go and enjoyed it. And thanks for sharing the experience!!! 🥳🥳

@@emmelieherwegh Well, considering the fact that I live in, Caracas, Venezuela (where life has become increasingly expensive over the last 25 years), and Metallica have come just twice, they've been, like I said, real pilgrimages, with buses and vans coming from the countryside to Caracas, full of metalheads to attend the shows. Some people arrived the day before and slept outside the venue. The first time they came (in 99) my half brother (who was then a teenager) sneaked out of his house in a city two hours away to come see them. His mother wanted to kill him ¡and me! (Although I never encouraged him to come). The second time (in 2014) I had the opportunity to go with him (now as an independent adult) and lots of family and friends, so many that we hired our oun van to transport us to the venue. And, of course, it was the best concert of our lives. The sound quality alone was unbelievable.
I feel the same about it being like a pilgrimage. I’m seeing them in Copenhagen in a few weeks and it’s all I can think about.
Emmelie I’m also going to see Metallica in Arlington TX on August 20 and I will be seeing them with ice nine kills and Five finger death punch

Hey hi this might seem odd but I’m going to see Metallica next month, I have the regular GA ticket not the early entry lol so was wondering apart from the VIPs and early entry what are the chances of someone with a regular general admission ticket to get in front or closer to the rails? Anyone help lol
