The fact that this 99% kibble free figure exist, transformers, and has this level of detail is a miracle. However watching the transformation gave me 5 panic attacks and affected my carpel tunnel
Everyone says it's a miracle, but with an extemely complex and fiddly transformation many companies have performed similar feats. The true miracle is when you get a more enjoyable transformation that results an a kibble free robot like Unique Toys Challenger
Yeah, this is an incredibly cool figure that I never want to own. I hope eventually an 'in-between' one gets made that's more complex and accurate than the SS figure but has maybe a slightly kibblier jet mode and less accurate robot mode for the sake of a less nightmarish transformation.

Not to mention the cockpit looks to big its chibi and the whole tail just ruins the accuracy of the jet mode
When I was a kid and had many G1 toys, I always wanted to show off their transformation when relatives came to visit us. With this, they would be pretty bored, but fascinated as well! :) Amazing engineering here!
i actually really enjoy complex transformations. the only thing that stops them frm being fun is when there are a lot of floppy joints. if pieces are on balljoints, theyre never normally tight enough to stay in position so even if youre moving something from the bottom, some top pieces will end up getting deformed. and when limbs become floppy as they get transformed, they interfere with the rest of the process. if companies can make their individual connections tighter, transformations like these i think would be way more enjoyable
I think you just got one of “those” figures, I got mine the other day and everything is scary tight on mine. Everything stays together beautifully. I guess it’s the typical “luck of the draw.”
@@PrimeVsPrime i feel your pain brother, or maybe it’s the reverse, i just got lucky and got the one good one 🤣 i’ve been messing with him nonstop and nothing flops or feels remotely loose, i have to use a decent amount of force to untab stuff. maybe try some floor polish on some of the loose areas, maybe that will remedy some of your problems.
One thing that they did right on this mold, is the choice of materials the used on this guy. Unlike hard abs plastics that most of the 3rd party companies like to use on their figures, this guy's can bear quite some force without breaking, similar to what MSToys did to their legends scale toyline.
that is the cleanest jet mode i think i've ever seen *on top* of transforming from such a detailed robot mode, i'm blown away by how they managed to pull it off
I really wanted this figure. A lot. Until I fell asleep watching you transform him twice. Nothing against you it’s just one of the most complicated transformation figures I have ever seen. Looks great but more work than I have the patience for.

On the nightmarish scale, how do you rate this figure against the Toyworld Optimus Prime? Also, the paint application seems to have a lot of hand-brushed characteristics, so I wonder if each of their production may be a little different.
When the pictures of this figure came out people even misunderstood that it was Threezero knock-off and when we heard that it is transformable we're all mind blown.
Great review, very cool figure but this mold is actually Zetas... that’s why they look similar but it was a older version before Zeta did revisions to what they going to release soon. My only nitpick is some parts are a bit heavy with the weathering other than that looks nice. Holding off to see Zetas version if the QC is better but either way it’s a great MPM representation of blitzwing.
That's surprising, I would figure with as much detail as they put into that they would have put some strategically placed tiny magnets or sneaky tabs to hold everything in place. Well regardless, that is the transformer That 10-year-old me Hoped and dreamed each and every transformer I was lucky enough to get was going to be ...I loved them, no mistake, but on some level the let down was so real every single time. I get a very nostalgic and exhilarating pleasure knowing that something like this actually does exist in the world! Thank you for showcasing something like this.
I collect transformers myself I think it is a very cool in either mode but I think I would display him in jet mode.The transformation process does looks complicated and also a bit frustrating but the end result looks really cool.
the missiles are removeable as accessories for any given bumblebee to kill him much like mpm megatron comes with the allspark imbedded in his chest. good review.

The F4 Phantom is my most favorite fighter jet of all time, and it devastated me when the Studio Series version of Blitzwing turned into a garbage rando jet. I will absolutely be picking this up whenever I have the money available.
Did you shoot the transforming video separately from the narration? Coz it’s a one take for such a complex transformation if you narrate all at once is absolutely amazing!!!
It’s really unfortunate the QC issues you had. I can assure you that is not the case with all. The one I have does not have tolerance issues with loose pegs or floppy hinges. Also, some of the joints are far tighter than I would even like. I am sure though my experience is far from a guarantee. The transformation takes some crazy precision though, in order to make sure there are no gaps in jet mode. I will say, when everything is line up correctly... freakin’ seamless!
@@PrimeVsPrime Yeah. That’s a real bummer. One thing I am glad you pointed out was that center internal tab to line bits up. I was having trouble consistently hitting that, and not knowing what needed to slot into what to snap it up tight was getting very frustrating. What worries me is that when it is snapped up perfectly, it feels dangerous to get those first few tabs apart to get it back to Bot mode.

Just transformed this guy yesterday (with your help) and it’s actually was not that bad until it got to tabing it all together after putting those arms in. Mine had hug gaps around red & blue panels and the back & front halves would not stay together. I gave up put it down for 10 or so minutes came back and magically tabed together. Very good looking plane mode but a little too much dirt weathering effect. Why couldn’t they have included a stand. Next up transforming Zeta Flash.
this is by far the best Transformer toy i've ever seen. impressive...most impressive but it's not Blitzwing yet (haha, i stole those lines from darth vadar). the real Blitzwing is a triple changer. but aside from that, damn impressive!
I would like to remind everyone that the shoulder wings on the studio series one are backwards, no reviews ever remind people to pop them off and turn them around , also whats with this figure and the studio series versions making blitzwing thinner

Well, bought this months ago, and FINALLY decided to go and do the transformation. your instructions are EXCELLENT, however, a BIT to fast! Might want to give a slight pause so people using your video time to keep up. The Phantom mode is very hard to keep snapped together, and could've been a tad easier to do - you were SPOT on with this. Overall, EXCELLENT video and accurate review!
The reason they most likely can have the usaf logos is because they might have gotten permission to use them or the usaf doesn’t see any real reason to go after them over it
Tell you a story, Zetatoys took the original design from the designer without paying him the full price. So the designer sold this design to BlackMamba, and that is why the original grey mold tjat Zeta first announced was so much alike to this SX version. And to avoid any problems, Zeta decided to change a bit of the design on theirs. They fix rhe legs by thickening the thigjs a little bit, and also add more tabs for the panels to lock in together, but ad for the upper torso, they failed. They made it longer that before, longer neck, longer body, longer arms, whilst the legs proportion remain the same... Anyway, both transformations are the same amount of frustration, yet SX had a better jet mode as it is capable of covering mostly the whole jet with all kinds of panels, while Zeta's version did not.
Zeta stretch the upper torso on their version though. When you put Zeta's, Threezero's and this guy side to side, you'll see that the proportion is a little bit off
I don't really like zeta's all that much for aesthetics but i have thunder warrior and i can tell you it's horrible. The only saving thing about it is jet mode. The materials are very rubbery, mine was missing the battery cover, and it came with two left ankle joints, which makes it impossible to tab in the tail in jet mode
Not screen accurate proportions of the threeZero version. But still REALLY good. And it transforms. I may pick this up just for that ability. Although I won't ever trade the threeZero version out. Another great vid bud!
I totally bought this the day you could pre-order it which was I think January 1st and I'm still waiting... probably won't be here till March but it's worth the wait
Glad I passed this one, bad pegs tolerance, and the transformation doesn't look fun. All black magic engineering need perfect QC and good peg tolerance so the whole transforming experience wont be a nightmare. Good paint apps tho. Very good review.
I still can't believe what I witnessed right now... I mean phantom II's wings are below its body so I thought it must have been impossible to hide robot parts bottom of alt mode Incredible engineering!
3rd Parties kill it when it comes to nailing both the bot and alt modes simultaneously to a degree that not even Hasbro can match, but the price to be paid is definitely the nightmarish transformations that has sadly become par for the course with these non official figures.
I just saw a video on the Zeta Toys version and it looks way better than the pictures suggest. The transformation is similar but looks way more enjoyable. it looks a little cleaner as well
Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh, got stuck on putting the arms underneath. Parts don't snap on correctly inside, so it's staying 80% transformed. Looks great when you do it 10/10
I don't know if you got your hands on the Zeta Toys version yet, but if you do, I would love to see your take on this. So after 4 months from my last comment I would like to come again and say a few words. After watching a few reviews of the Zeta Toys version, I thought it is worth buying it and get rid of the Mechanical Alliance, especially because I got 30% discount, which is amazing. But, boy I was so wrong! Maybe it's just my copy, but let me tell you why I was wrong. 1. The paint and the screen accuracy are much better done on the Mechanical Alliance. That metallic vibe and the dirty look on him, plus the attention to details, in terms of his alien tattoos, are spot on to the way he shows on screen. 2. While the transformation is slightly less frustrating on the Zeta Toys and everything stays tabbed in, during the whole transformation pieces just kept falling off and ball jointed panels kept on popping off, which never happened with the Mechanical Alliance in the past, and I transformed him so many times, that I lost count. 3. Some pieces on the Zeta Toys version are so well tabbed in, that I am afraid they will break whilst getting them undone, which actually happened to one of his shoulders. 4. Lastly but not leastly, while posing Zeta Toys and Mechanical Alliance in their robot modes, I did the "shaking" test. Guess who lost its balance in the next second: that's right, Zeta Toys. I kept on turning and tilting his lower legs, upper legs, the feet... to the same result. He just kept falling on the back whilst doing the test. So, while I agree with the fact that Zeta Toys holds the pieces together better and it is easier to pose, my preferred version is Mechanical Alliance. As I mentioned earlier in my comment, maybe it's just my copy, so I don't want to discourage anyone from buying it. By all means, you like what you like and you might get a good version of it, but take it with a grain of salt.

The alt mode on this is sooooo much better than the SS figure. I can’t stand that one haha. Fun fact: The livery of his jet mode is actually a Navy or Marine Corps F-4B/J/N livery with USAF markings applied.
As much as I like the Bayformers as I grew up with the designs upon seeing Bumblebee...I really enjoy the G1 designs mixed with Bayverse which is what it should have been 14 years ago. The only issues I have with it is Charile...I am not used to Bumblebee's human best friend being female...I am more used to a male and robot relationship. Second being is the way Bumblebee's head...I was used to it in Micheal Bay verison but since most of the Transformers have G1 heads, wouldn't it make sense for Bumblebee to have a G1 cartoon head? Finally Blitzwing and Cliffjumper.

This is an amazing time to be a TF fan. Some of these newer figures are just marvels of design and engineering.

As an aviation fan it's weird seeing the f-4 out of proportion, but blitzwing's robot mode is great.

If I'm using a video for transformation assistance I usually play it at 0.75x speed. It helps a lot.

I don't really like zeta's all that much for aesthetics but i have thunder warrior and i can tell you it's horrible. The only saving thing about it is jet mode. The materials are very rubbery, mine was missing the battery cover, and it came with two left ankle joints, which makes it impossible to tab in the tail in jet mode
Not screen accurate proportions of the threeZero version. But still REALLY good. And it transforms. I may pick this up just for that ability. Although I won't ever trade the threeZero version out. Another great vid bud!

Glad I passed this one, bad pegs tolerance, and the transformation doesn't look fun. All black magic engineering need perfect QC and good peg tolerance so the whole transforming experience wont be a nightmare. Good paint apps tho. Very good review.

3rd Parties kill it when it comes to nailing both the bot and alt modes simultaneously to a degree that not even Hasbro can match, but the price to be paid is definitely the nightmarish transformations that has sadly become par for the course with these non official figures.
Fun fact, third parties and knock offs are actually cheaper, much cheaper.
I just saw a video on the Zeta Toys version and it looks way better than the pictures suggest. The transformation is similar but looks way more enjoyable. it looks a little cleaner as well

I love the nose cone transformation. Blitzwing was a definite highlight of the movie which took a nose dive after the incredible opening.

Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh, got stuck on putting the arms underneath. Parts don't snap on correctly inside, so it's staying 80% transformed. Looks great when you do it 10/10

I don't know if you got your hands on the Zeta Toys version yet, but if you do, I would love to see your take on this. So after 4 months from my last comment I would like to come again and say a few words. After watching a few reviews of the Zeta Toys version, I thought it is worth buying it and get rid of the Mechanical Alliance, especially because I got 30% discount, which is amazing. But, boy I was so wrong! Maybe it's just my copy, but let me tell you why I was wrong.
1. The paint and the screen accuracy are much better done on the Mechanical Alliance. That metallic vibe and the dirty look on him, plus the attention to details, in terms of his alien tattoos, are spot on to the way he shows on screen.
2. While the transformation is slightly less frustrating on the Zeta Toys and everything stays tabbed in, during the whole transformation pieces just kept falling off and ball jointed panels kept on popping off, which never happened with the Mechanical Alliance in the past, and I transformed him so many times, that I lost count.
3. Some pieces on the Zeta Toys version are so well tabbed in, that I am afraid they will break whilst getting them undone, which actually happened to one of his shoulders.
4. Lastly but not leastly, while posing Zeta Toys and Mechanical Alliance in their robot modes, I did the "shaking" test. Guess who lost its balance in the next second: that's right, Zeta Toys. I kept on turning and tilting his lower legs, upper legs, the feet... to the same result. He just kept falling on the back whilst doing the test.
So, while I agree with the fact that Zeta Toys holds the pieces together better and it is easier to pose, my preferred version is Mechanical Alliance. As I mentioned earlier in my comment, maybe it's just my copy, so I don't want to discourage anyone from buying it. By all means, you like what you like and you might get a good version of it, but take it with a grain of salt.
I was planning on not getting anymore transformers, as I don’t have the room. However, I may just have to make room!☠️
For the heel spurs of his legs many die-cast pieces are like that but that's because for it doesn't break or loosen easily

As much as I like the Bayformers as I grew up with the designs upon seeing Bumblebee...I really enjoy the G1 designs mixed with Bayverse which is what it should have been 14 years ago. The only issues I have with it is Charile...I am not used to Bumblebee's human best friend being female...I am more used to a male and robot relationship. Second being is the way Bumblebee's head...I was used to it in Micheal Bay verison but since most of the Transformers have G1 heads, wouldn't it make sense for Bumblebee to have a G1 cartoon head? Finally Blitzwing and Cliffjumper.
