Your dad is so awesome. I'm glad to see him enjoy his life. I live in a city just outside of Toronto and I feel sad seeing all the older gentlemen/ladies just sitting outside their overpriced housing when I go for walks. Sometimes they're just literally dozing off in their front porch so when I see what you're doing for your dad, taking him with you to these travels, really shows your character Alina. God bless you both.
Thank you so much! It makes me sad as well to see seniors suffering from loneliness or health problems. Very important to support them in that period of their life.
Hopefully you're not sad about people enjoying and sitting in their homes they worked hard for. I also live in southern Ontario on Lake Huron and love my home and where I live and sitting out on my porch is a very relaxing afternoon. People have been through a lot and there is no problem taking it easy and not running 100 miles an hour all the time.

When I was in Egypt in December, Sharm El Sheikh was the same way with the Russians. It surprised me to see all the Russian signs, Russian restaurants, and hearing the Russian language. Even the hotel I was at held Russian concerts in the courtyard. Buildings around the city had both Egyptian and Russian flags. Was very interesting to see
During my first visit to Pattaya and Phuket in 2014, I was fascinated by the abundance of Russian speakers, bustling business in large nightclubs, and the active transportation scene ferrying people to islands like Koh Larn. It's likely that such elements have become a norm in those areas over time. Thank you for sharing. I also appreciate your clear English pronunciation accent.
Mate have you been in Egypt ? Especially places like Hurghada ? I kid you not, the signs on the roads are even in Russian, the pharmacies etc, everything has a Russian translation
True, but it was never anything close to like it is now. So many Russians are subletting from Thais, then re-subletting to other Russian's for elevated prices. The locals are getting really upset, because it's driving rental prices up. Locals are also really upset at all the illegal Russian business fronts that have sprung up in competition with their own. Eventually the government will step in and make the Russians leave, but it probably won't be for a while.
Welcome My Russian Friends. We Thais always welcome you. Thailand is for everyone to visit including Russians. Please come to visit and do trade together. After all, Russia is our northern neighboring country apart from China. Neighbors should be good friends. That's the way it should be. Please come back again.
3 years ago, I visited Mui Ne in Vietnam and realized that it was a big tourist destination for Russian tourists. 20 years ago, I had visited Sanya in China and realized that it was a big tourist destination for Russian tourists.
due to Russian immigrants, prices of even real estate have gone up in Turkey, Greece, all old Soviet republics, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bali and also Thailand. they have made the real estate even more expensive for the locals who are now forced to go to their villages. Russians dont bring in anything, they use their own russian travel agents, stay in russian hotels, eat in russian restaurants, use bitcoin to transfer money and spend money on russian establishments. so the Thai economy earns zero from them, infact loses. let me explain. a home whch costs 100,000 $ will become 150,000 due to high demand. so when they sale the condo unit, they already made a 50% profit on it. guess what, most money will be transferred in black, and so the home is still 100,000 on papers with 50,000$ transferred to their russian accounts. win-win-win. also the entire deal is done by russian real estate agents.
Where there are many Russians, ALL prices are EXPLODING! Real estate, transportation, food...in many places the end of the story is that locals can not afford to stay in there own country, at least in those places. Or you think that the average Thai, Cambodian, Indonesian and more family can afford to pay monthly re ting fees of 700 and more US a month !?
I live in Canada and visit Mexico often. November 2022 was the first year I've ever heard Russian spoken in Mexico (they usually vacation in Pro Moscow Cuba). Now there are Russian visitors everywhere there, many with families.
I saw you in Tokyo last year but I didn't say hello because you were concentrating on your work. I'm glad that this year you came back to my home country Thailand. Hope you stay until Songkran and enjoy the festival that everyone has been waiting for.Have fun traveling with your father on this trip. If you need help, tell Thai people to support you at all times.
Half the people in the hotel I stayed in on Patong Beach in 2019 were Russian. There were also plenty of restaurants with Russian menus. Hard to imagine what it is like today.
The are 2 or 3 different menus depending upon your nationality, Russian is the most expensive then Australian and American then European . Your find that the English Germans Swedish are thais favourite nationality as they spend the most money Russians are dispised and are ripped off at every opportunity. Australian aren't really that well liked because of their drinking as they can't handle it and do runners from the bars and are generally rude to the staff. You would have thought it would have been the brits but the good thing is, its too far to travel and if they do come they go to pattaya as its like Spain. Lastly the Americans does anyone actually like these people
Great video!! Interesting conversation on Russians immigrating to Thailand. I did a quick google about Thai real estate, out of curiosity, and found a Thai real estate company stated that in the last year 40% of foreign purchased condos were bought by Russians. Here in Canada there is an Eastern Euopean Cafe in Waterloo, Ontario. They don't advertise and they don't have a sign visible from the street. You mostly hear about it by word of mouth. They have great food and they've been open for 22+ years. They make everything from scratch. Though I tend to order their Perogies I also love their crepes, pelmeni and their solyanka soup which they make with a mix of beef and ham. Their borsch is vegetarian. Safe travels!!
As being a Canadian, also Russian and Ukrainian, your description of current Russia Ukraine war is the most persuasive and precise, outpaced all major media, really amazing……
I can't believe how much the prices have gone up! Staying at a four-star hotel for $50 a night in 2021 sounds like a dream. I'm glad things are booming for the local economy, but I hope it doesn't become too expensive for everyone. It's interesting to hear about the impact of the war in Ukraine on Phuket. I hadn't really thought about how it would affect tourism there. It's good to hear that the TH-camr is welcoming to Russian tourists, and I hope that they can find a way to integrate into the local community. I'm also happy to see that the TH-camr's dad is enjoying his first visit to Phuket. It sounds like they're having a great time together. Enjoy Alina
I have been to Phuket twice in the last 13 months. Other than Patong, it seems 80% of the people there are Russian. Many Russian young couples, so many baby strollers beiing pushed to the beach. I know I saw some of the same people when I was there last week! Yes lots of food venders say they have Russian food. Great place though. Also I hear Bali is the same!!
All i see is that shitstorm between Russia and Europe has worked well for Asian tourism industry. Being unable to travel to Europe anymore the Russians are flooding South East Asia for vacation. This just prooves yet again that water always finds its way and illustrates how stupid and pointless any travel restrictions are.
@@nomoresunforever3695 Travel restrictions as a collective punishment is pretty crazy imo. Either way times change and all borders will be reopened again. Doesnt matter if now or in 50 years. Later on people realize how fkin stupid that idea was. And people in 30+ years wont even care. Doesn't really solve a thing.
I'm from France and in Paris we don't have so many Russian restaurants whereas there is a strong community of Russian people in Paris I hope they will open more restaurants after this last crisis also lol. Nice video and my fav Russian food is Golubsi and Pirozhki but all russian food is tasty !
@@rickmorgan1441 Exactly....I live in Thailand now, for 2 months, I've spoken with Local Thai people and told me that majority of the real estate is not even in their own hands (it is in Chinese hands) and Phuket and Koh Samui is soon gonna be completely Russian...when will people ever learn not to sell their own countries out.
Your dad is so cute! I love your videos of South East Asia the most. Truly enjoying them and always looking forward to the next one. Keep 'em coming...!!!
Thank you Alina for showing Thailand . Thank you. I lived in Pattaya 2009-2019. I live in Russia. You look like my little sister. I also Thank you for your clear English pronunciation accent.Take care.Happy New Year)) Thank you.
I saw Russians and Ukrainians there too. The Sauna/Spa place was mostly filled with Russians. It's no big deal to me because i'm of partial Russian heritage myself so i got to practice the language as i rarely use it in Australia.
A few things to take into account: 1. As you correctly pointed out, Phuket has always been popular with Russian-speaking tourists. On top of that, one could argue that Phuket is not “Typical Thailand”, in the sense that it was always a place 100% geared towards foreign tourists. Likewise, it has always been more expensive than the rest of Thailand. If you want to see real Thai Culture, don’t go to Phuket, you won’t find it there. Everyone who lives and works there is somehow tied with tourism. Therefore, your average Thai is not in the market for a condo or house in Phuket - unless they are a real estate investor. 2. Conscription in Russia. Don’t conflate conscription with mobilization. Conscription is the year of mandatory military service each male is required to go through (only about 40% go through it as there are millions of ways to defer and exempt service - but that is a whole other topic). Conscripts are not sent into combat zones. Then you have mobilization. That pertains to reservists. If you are not a reservist, you won’t be mobilized. 3. Russians being forced to fight. In October of 2022, Russia decided that they needed a quick troop surge. Therefore, they mobilized ~400,000 reservists. However since then, they have been doing massive recruitment drives, which yielded 30,000-50,000 new recruits per month. They attract them by offering HUGE sums of money (by Russian standards). Heck, the sums are so huge that there have actually been cases of people being turned away at recruitment offices. Therefore, as it stands now (at the time of me writing this comment), even if you are a reservist and don’t want to fight, you really have nothing to fear. Not to mention if you are not a reservist - then you literally have nothing to worry about. 3. My last point segways into the Russians in Thailand. 90% of them are your traditional short-stay tourists. Especially now, when the winters are cold in Russia. Sure, there are those who left to stay on the safe side, but a lot returned once there money ran out. Most of those who didn’t return, are able to earn money remotely. 4. Political views. In Russia, 10% actively support the government policies, 10% quietly (for obvious reasons) oppose, while 80% take the position of, “I just live my life and don’t care about politics” - those are the majority of Russian tourists anywhere. Concerning those who actively oppose and take a principled pro-Ukraine (or anti-Putin) position, they all left within the first months of the full-scale war breaking out.
" Political views. In Russia, 10% actively support the government policies, 10% quietly (for obvious reasons) oppose, while 80% take the position of, “I just live my life and don’t care about politics” - those are the majority of Russian tourists anywhere" Unfortunately, that is not a virtue at all, is a big problem for the world, that this negligent politically society produced such a regime, now with this maniac dictator, who gets to do the chaos he is doing, invading, trying to annex other countries, while saying it is fine because my "Russian population doesn´t care" I have a deal with them, I do whatever I want and they live their lifes quietly. I keep hearing that about Russians and thinking does that absolve them from consequences? That is not a "virtue" and the rest of the world are having to deal with this passive and negligent attitude that Russians have with their civic, community life, that produces a thing such as Putin.
@@grigolli9072 I didn’t say it was a virtue. I was just stating the facts. What’s more is that 80% of Americans were the same way during Bush and his wars (I lived in the US at the time). This is due to one simple fact: Russians (just like Americans) are not affected by the war. At the same time, the situation inside of Russia (just like the situation inside of America at the time) is pretty stable. Your average person goes to work, spends time with their family, goes out to dinner at a restaurant, all while buying everything they need at the supermarket. Once or twice a year, they go on vacation. In a nutshell, they are too busy living their lives to care.
Also the same silly false equivalence with Iraq that some Russian war criminals use. Iraq war was a silly war of choice by the US, taking out an international chaos maker Dictator, who had invaded several countries around him (Kuwait, Iran, etc) And used chemical weapons against his people the Kurds. It was a ill advised war for the US to get involved with poor understanding of internal religious power struggles and a naive thinking they would want a Democratic Gov. However, the U.S did not go to war with Iraq to invade, conquer and annex their land. If the US had invaded Canada and was sitting on Quebec and Montreal saying is ours, trying to conquer a peaceful, rules and norms abiding country, then there could be some comparison...
Those "old fogies" need our conversation, care and concern. I lived with my Mom at my condo, and waited on her hand and foot, between 89 and her death at 99. It was the most rewarding experience of my life! I grew up. In my car, 97 miles of 100 were travelled with her. Kudos to your lovely Dad.
During the Pandamic many businesses in Thailand closed down they could not survive they we financed by Chinese and Russian businesses those failied are now run by Russian and Chinese businesses,Thailand is also a member of the Chinese road and belt initiative, China is linking itself with Laos Thailand Malaysia Indonesia with a bullet train network, Russia is a friendly country with India once Russians flocked Indian resorts but now more in South East Asian Countries,Both China and Russia are members of BRICS Russia is presently chairing it with 25 other member countries so naturally Russian influence is growing
Is Chang beer , Central , The Mall Group ,PTT Group , CP 7-11 , Singha , Gulf Energy , like all top 500-1000 Thai largest compnies are financed by Russian money???? Never heard of that even a little bit.
gosh so many changes . i have to learn Russian as soon as possible and save more $$$$$$ . the Russian food looks so nice . great video thanks for posting Alina
I was in Phuket back in November, and I was staying in Kata beach. And yes I can confirm , I couldn’t believe how many Russians were there. I estimated about 80% of the people on the beach would’ve been from Russia.
Great video Alina. For my 70th birthday in 2018 we took a Baltic cruise with 2 interesting days in Petersburg. I have always liked the Russian people I have met, our guide for those 2 days was no exception. Educated and well-traveled, he saw the "writing on the wall", fiancé already in Canada, he was just waiting for visa to be approved. Nice to have a beautiful loving daughter like you!
That’s sad. I would have loved to continue traveling through Russia but now that’s probably not going to happen unless there’s a huge change in the government.
@@DAVEVIKASARATOV Yes, they can but under the circumstances I see no reason to and also would be risky considering I have posted being against the war on social media. There's already some youtubers that have been detained while in Russia for that.
It's understandable why you see more Russians in Thailand, as this popular destination welcomes them without requiring a visa. By the way, Russians are cool and fun people; it's great to see them on the beaches.
Happy to see Phuket recovering from the devastating tsunami & glad you are enjoying beautiful Thailand 🇹🇭 Alina ! Perhaps , you & your Dad will bump into a familiar face ..Petrena ! That would be awesome 👌
Very informative, enjoyable, entertaining and well presented. I agree with your comments that people are just that people who mostly all want to enjoy their lives and live in peace.
Ooh, id love to go to Thailand, especially Phuket, can't afford it right now though, but i am learning the language in case I m able to go in the future. read this then: "Pom ga lang rhian puud passa Thai." see, I can speak Thai "nid noi" as they say. Loved this video of you and your dad, gonna watch some more of your adventures soon.
I have just come back from Phuket and what I noticed is the fact that sanctions on Russia have affected the textile industry. Most Russian women are definitely short of material for their swimsuits.:)
Last year in summer ,hotel in Montenegro on beach ,and parking lot just lines off cars with Russian and Ukrainian plates next to each other .SO weird like they here together enjoying summer ,zero incidents ,while at same time at home they blowing them self up and sleep at trenches
I just booked my first AirBNB in Phuket for early February. The landlord was named "Mikhail". That had me a little confused, but I saw he had very good ratings on the site. Now I understand why. As long as he does a good job I have no problem.
I was in Kata just last month! Great to see those familiar places in your video! I was telling myself that there were a lot of Russians and other eastern Europeans there. It's awesome to see that you are travelling with your dad and making memories. Funny thing, I used to live in Calgary too.
Is it a surprise to you that Russians also like to spend the winter in a warm climate near the sea? And during the covid, many of us missed such wintering and are now making up for lost time))) My brother and his friends flew to Phuket now. My boss sends me from Thailand to work between relaxing on the beaches and visiting restaurants🙈))) He, by the way, has wintered with his family in Thailand every year except 21 (because of the pandemic). And I expect to be there once again in February. And it is not a one-way trip and not at all because of "Putin's war", as you try to present it. Just Russians also love sea, sun, beautiful nature and tasty food 🏝😍
You have to remember that westerners actually believe all the propaganda from their media unlike Russians. This is why they banned Russian novels and Russian cats at the outset of the war.
In Bali, Ukrainian's desending on Bali in 2014 until they could no longer leave about 1 yr ago. The Russians have been nonstop coming to Bali to live for the last 2 yrs.
Wagner is professional military. They are / were in these places to help the governments push back against the proxy terrorist threats supported by the perennially war mongering USA
Alina cant say things on youtube or she will get mass reported by ukro trolls. She has to say what alines with official msm At least she is not waving that flag anymore like she was before.
Russian male citizens are required to serve one year in the army. That’s called conscription or draft. There’s currently no mobilization drive like in 2022 but there will be another one after the election.😂
Beautiful vlog. I am from South Africa and was at Karon Beach in December. Even though it was packed, I enjoyed the vibes. Oh, how sad I was to leave. Your video just makes me want to come back.. 😊
It’s so great that Russians are going there and supporting the local economy. No one mentions this about Americans, EU Europeans etc in Thailand. Only when Russians travel is it a crisis. Wherever the Russian women are going, that’s where I’m going!
Alina, I have always wondered how you picked up or learned English. Is English your mother tongue? Did you immigrate to Canada when you were a kid or were you born and raised in Canada?
I was born in Ukraine but spoke Russian because of the USSR and we moved to Canada when I was 5. I didn’t speak any English going there but being a kid you pick up languages a lot faster than an adult so I think I was more or less fluent by age 8.
I would never had guessed your parents were born in Russia. Your father speaks excellent English! You can’t be angry at those people who left Russia. They did what they needed to do, to opt out of the terrible situation!
If these Russians are fleeing military conscription, they must be planning to stay in Thailand for a long time, not just a vacation. Many months at least. Getting long term or permanent residency visas in Thailand is very restricted unless you are an older retiree. How are they doing this?
We are given 3 months visa on arrival that can be later prolonged for another 3 months) And we are not fleeing, it is just long winter vacation. Russia will win!)
I love Thailand and visited there for 11 weeks back in early to mid 2018. Stayed in Bangkok and Chiang Mai and felt very safe and liked the locals very much. I live in and am from Scotland. As for the war in Ukrainian, it was started by Zelensky and his banker gangster overlords when they started bombing Eastern Ukrainian about 8 or 9 years ago. So the Ukraine war is the fault of the corrupt Ukrainian government. All wars are Banker wars, bankers run all world governments and they cause all wicked wars. Zelensky is a former and current littoral comedian who starred in a movie as a character that won a reality show to become the president of Ukrainians and then it actually happens in real life!! Total evil corruption. We should be fairly grateful it is the Russians that are over populated in Phuket rather than the demographics that are destroying Britain, USA etc... with their evil violent crimes. At least it's decent Russians.
Hello Alina, if you get a chance. Drink cold Coconut juice, or Sugarcane juice. I would drink them every day, when I was in Phuket I used to enjoy my fishing when I was there. I would give my catch to the locals, that would sit there. To see the smile on their faces, was something . To make tears roll down my cheeks.
Wow, that was in 2021? Time certainly flies. I still remember that one 😆 Also, 100% of the time without fail, I find it incredibly hilarious how you make your Dad wait for his taste test shot and he always just sits there like: "Come oooon. Just let me eat it already!" lol followed by the underwhelming review as if to say: "I did it, now leave me to my feast." Pretty classic. haha
Countries, such as Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Bulgaria Slovakia, Romania, Czech Republic joined NATO seeking protection against Russia and they were wise to do so. Russia is an imperialist terrorist state.
I suppose it would be much better if you do not speak of policy. I have been a lot of times in Phuket. People come there to relax, not to argue to each other. Good luck to you and your dad
I didn’t make the video to argue with anyone but to talk about what a big change has happened and that I hope any Russians moving there will respect Thai people and businesses so it doesn’t upset their economy. I have no problem with them moving there as long as it’s legal and respectful.
Thank you, Alina, for your respond. I am not going to stand for all Russians. We are extremely different people as you know. I hope that Russians have never behaved badly and respected the local people. Greetings from Khabarovsk. Thank you for video🎥❤
Interesting video - Like father and daughter! Thank you for showing this dramatic change in Thailand. In 1988, I visited Thailand. Most tourists were Americans, Australians, and Western Europeans at that time. Due to Russia's marketing economy opening, Russians now have affordable travel overseas, especially the low cost of living in Thailand.
Most tourists are from China in Thailand, second are the Russians! tourists from the collective "waste" combined is nowhere near the amount of Chinese tourists!
I never had any issues with Russians. I did save one Russian kid who was trying to get away from a mob of Americans who he claimed were trying to fight him because he was Russian. The kid (I call him kid because he was like 21. He was there to avoid the war. I told him come sit at my table at this rock bar because all the rest were taken. The kid was terrified they'd come back. I told him not to worry, point them out if you see them i'd like to speak to them. We never saw them, but I did buy him a few beers and he picked up a round as well. I felt more at home in Phuket than I do in my own city in FL. Jumped off the plane and 10k russian look just like me!
They're everywhere now! Have literally taken over Limassol in Cyprus and you don't hear Greek on the streets anymore! The downside among many is that they have driven prices especially of rents through the roof to the point locals and other nationalities can not afford to rent or buy property in their own home towns anymore!
Hey Alina. Nice video as usual. Im glad to see you guys enjoy a coupla days on the beach. It's normal that the Russians spend their vacation in South-East Asia. They have nowhere to go in Europe. As for China and North Korea, these aren't ideal places to spend your vacation, right? Can I ask a question: How did you guys go from LuangPrabang to Phuket? Is the transportaion ok?
Hi Alina Great video the editing on how you were able to add the comparison pictures from your last trip to this one is brilliant. You have mastered the art of editing!!!. As for your comments about international investment by overseas companies I totally agree. We have the same problem here in Australia, not from Russians but by Chinese. My view is that I do not have a problem about overseas investment but should not detrimental to the local inhabitants but sadly that is not always the case. The wealthy take advantage of the not so wealthy. Iam sure you see the same in your country Canada to some extent Keep up the great work Cheers
Why one can’t own land here… loophole through long term leases but those end sooner or later… the in between is the problem for all… Please remember : we are GUESTS here. Let’s show our host courtesy, humility and gratitude. 🙏
Hey i did the Phuket Sandbox at Beyond Karon in July 2021. How good was it?? There were 4 of us there including my (age appropriate) Thai GF. After the sandbox quarantine we spent 8 months driving, diving, hiking and cycling all around South Thailand from Kanchanaburi down. We did EVERY island. Been back to Thailand quite a few times since but Phuket and Samui are no longer options now all the tourists are back and especially since Phuket is now over-run with Russians. They're the worst! There are much better islands that are still relatively undeveloped. We were on one last week actually and were the only two people there! 🙏
Very nice video Alina, I haven't had much time to go through your video collections. I noticed that most of your nice videos about Canada missed out the Capital city Ottawa in which with that famous 8 km long frozen Ice Skating in Winter time Rideau Canal :)
War is inhuman, and not a sustainable solution to any problem. The Russians that are moving to Phuket and staying, are the wealthy, and the ones that can. I don't have any negative judgement against them but I do feel empathy and compassion for those that don't agree with the war and their government, and are forced to enlist and fight. I appreciate your sensitivity and concern for the welfare of the people of Phuket and the country of Thailand.
Great video and am very pleased to see the relationship with your Dad....I am writing this in August 2024....I live in Winnipeg MB and we have thousands of Ukrainians who have come to live and work in my City since the start of the War...PLUS some of the ukrainians have opened new restaurants. Of course we have always had many Ukrainians livng here ... and a number of Uky restaurants have always been in our city ...I just picked up a few containers of Borscht and home made Perogies from a local meat market where Baba's have been hired to make these products plus holopchi and other tasty Uky food. I consider myself to be Ukrainian as my Grandparents were from the Lvov area. Now I am just an old 82 year old guy who is now heating up the Borscht!!😄
Hello Alina, I am just watching this video again. I try and watch the TNT Thailand News everyday, if I can find the time. Last week one Russian guy was caught for over stating his visa for 7 years. The Thai authourities found out that he had escaped from Russia for being a naughty boy. In January one Indian had over stayed his visa for a number of years. Not only that, he started a restaurant business there too. I do not have time for such people. He was deported back to India.
Honestly, nothing will ever be the same again. But I guess the Russians used to visit resorts on their own soil during the warmer months of the year. A little more than half of Russia (south) gets hot during the summer.

Hopefully you're not sad about people enjoying and sitting in their homes they worked hard for. I also live in southern Ontario on Lake Huron and love my home and where I live and sitting out on my porch is a very relaxing afternoon. Your dad is amazing. I love the care you show for him.
due to Russian immigrants, prices of even real estate have gone up in Turkey, Greece, all old Soviet republics, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bali and also Thailand. they have made the real estate even more expensive for the locals who are now forced to go to their villages.
As a local person, your comment is not true! Not possible that Thai economy earns zero ❌ 😊 Absolutely A local businesses earn! ✅
You're talking nonsense.

Half the people in the hotel I stayed in on Patong Beach in 2019 were Russian. There were also plenty of restaurants with Russian menus.
Hard to imagine what it is like today.
@mickfitz76 here’s another person who said the same as I did. You want to call them a liar too?
The are 2 or 3 different menus depending upon your nationality, Russian is the most expensive then Australian and American then European . Your find that the English Germans Swedish are thais favourite nationality as they spend the most money Russians are dispised and are ripped off at every opportunity. Australian aren't really that well liked because of their drinking as they can't handle it and do runners from the bars and are generally rude to the staff. You would have thought it would have been the brits but the good thing is, its too far to travel and if they do come they go to pattaya as its like Spain. Lastly the Americans does anyone actually like these people
But she is calling them refugees or immigrants. This is the sort of propaganda you have to do to be in favor with TH-cam algorithm.
Hi Alina! Excellent video adventure in Phuket!!
Your Dad is a Rock Star - super inspirational person! 😊(You're also awesome to gently motivate him!)
Thank you very much!

I saw Russians and Ukrainians there too. The Sauna/Spa place was mostly filled with Russians. It's no big deal to me because i'm of partial Russian heritage myself so i got to practice the language as i rarely use it in Australia.
A few things to take into account:
Well put, 100% 👍🏾
" Political views. In Russia, 10% actively support the government policies, 10% quietly (for obvious reasons) oppose, while 80% take the position of, “I just live my life and don’t care about politics” - those are the majority of Russian tourists anywhere"
Unfortunately, that is not a virtue at all, is a big problem for the world, that this negligent politically society produced such a regime, now with this maniac dictator, who gets to do the chaos he is doing, invading, trying to annex other countries, while saying it is fine because my "Russian population doesn´t care" I have a deal with them, I do whatever I want and they live their lifes quietly.

If these Russians are fleeing military conscription, they must be planning to stay in Thailand for a long time, not just a vacation. Many months at least. Getting long term or permanent residency visas in Thailand is very restricted unless you are an older retiree. How are they doing this?

So you brits americans and aussies are the only ones allowed to travel?
Also, 100% of the time without fail, I find it incredibly hilarious how you make your Dad wait for his taste test shot and he always just sits there like: "Come oooon.
Wow, I didn't know you are from Ukraine till now. I went to Odessa many years ago and met some nice people there.
They're everywhere now! Have literally taken over Limassol in Cyprus and you don't hear Greek on the streets anymore! The downside among many is that they have driven prices especially of rents through the roof to the point locals and other nationalities can not afford to rent or buy property in their own home towns anymore!
So Thailand is more popular than Turkey as a Russian tourist destination?

Very nice video Alina,
I haven't had much time to go through your video collections. I noticed that most of your nice videos about Canada missed out the Capital city Ottawa in which with that famous 8 km long frozen Ice Skating in Winter time Rideau Canal :)
I’ve actually been to Ottawa probably about 4 times but yeah sadly never filmed it in depth!
He was deported back to India.
will you stay there long?
Honestly, nothing will ever be the same again. But I guess the Russians used to visit resorts on their own soil during the warmer months of the year. A little more than half of Russia (south) gets hot during the summer.
