Great drone shots jonno, gee that convoy of trucks travelling together would be a nightmare for other trucks or cars to overtake . Great video. Those guys were lucky you came along, they had no idea
Not many trucks would be overtaking TML.
Thanks for the memories, as an old retired truckie I love watching your videos, cheers and stay safe.
Awesome. Thanks heaps and it's great to have you along.
That was nice of you to pull up to help Raj . Good job Johnno
Thanks heaps
One of my favourites Johnno, love ya work mate 👌🇦🇺
Thanks Rick
Wow how amazing that trip. Specially you are exellent videography. Around the hills and nice background music properly matched. I really enjoyed this video episode. Thanks a lot.
Thanks heaps.
Nice!. Just catching up, yet again :)
Very good
Awesome scenery
Thanks Rachel
Fantastic, it's not tiring to watch it on repeat! BUT, every time you change gear without the clutch, I get terribly confused! Here it's always with the clutch and double-clutched!! Although now everything has an automatic gearbox and in some cases a manual gearbox is an option.
I plan on making another video of how I change so stick around for that.
Hi Johnno, a great video. Always helpful.
Thanks heaps
Awesome camera and drone footage, the stars were amazing 🇬🇧
Thanks Chris. I'll see if I can get some more night time footage. It's hard to get.
thank you brother help for punjabi boys 🤝🤝👍🏻👍🏻
Anytime. We all have to help each other out.
John …that was an excellent video 👍👍especially the stars and the cliffs footage thank you and safe travels
Awesome. Thanks Gary
The sky looks spooky.
For sure
Beautiful
Thanks Jess
hi Johnno I think I have seen this one 3 times I remember the suspension problem those 2 guys had but it was still interesting stay safe cheers Paul
Thanks Curly. Yes I'm replaying these over my holidays m
Great video I enjoyed it!
Awesome. Thanks Joseph
Found your channel by chance loved the video have now subscribed to your channel
Awesome. It's great to have you along David.
Nothing wrong of your filming, awesome footage, keep it up, music is good,a few critical people out There but easy not too listen to them
Thanks Hamish
Thoroughly enjoyed this video and just loved the cliffs. Millions of years to form that limestone then the rock layer on top. Flat as a pancake on the surface. Fascinating. Couldn’t find Emu Runner on Netflix.
Thanks heaps. Maybe Emu Runner had been pulled from Netflix for a while.
Great editing 👍 this was really good to watch, well done. It must take a lot of effort to create this content but you are doing a great job. Our family watches your journey because this is what keeps our country moving👌
Thanks heaps. Yes there is a fair amount of work, especially as I do it all myself.
Scenery plus
Thanks Jessica
22:30 I forgot to comment on an earlier VLOG that Madura was where WA potatoes were handed-off to the Southern and Eastern States ( a while ago!). Nothing tastes better than a WA spud :)
Thanks Stuart. More interesting stuff I didn't know about Madura.
Love star show
👍
Gday Johnno,
Another cool vid, some excellent drone shots ,but you can't beat the stars at night.
Respect.....!
Thanks Craig. If like to see if I can perfect the night time footage
Thanks Johnno, really enjoyed the video, all the very best for 2024, cheers 👏👏
Thanks David. All the best for you too.
I always love watching you because if it wasn't for trucks Australia would stop
Thanks James and yes you're right.
Awesome video Johnno great drone shots some great vast landscape
Thanks Bruce
Love all the drone shots
Thanks James. I must do a little more of that this year.
Great video mate 👍👍🚚🚚👍👍
👍👍👍👍
Always nice to see a trucker running down the road on a long haul. Been stuck due to gelled fuel for 3 days in below freezing temperatures. -40f/c windchills. -7/-17f
Stuck for 3 days and in the freezing, I trust you have what we call an ice pack that heats? In transport breakdowns are inevitable but it's still bad when it happens.
@@RoadTrainAdventures unfortunately no. No shutoff on engine. No powerunit to cycle fluid , no inline fuel heat either. 6 mm fuel line couldn’t handle -40 windchill.
So how long until your get going again?
@@RoadTrainAdventures took 4:30-5 hours to get things able to flow. Fuel was pudding throughout the lines and filters. -9f/ -22 c tonight. But 1000rpm idle and lots of antigel in the tank
Well that is something I'll probably never have to worry about.
Prime Bunda Cliffs drone shots Johnno. Don't wanna get flat drone battery there!
Thanks Virgil. No this new drone had heaps of battery life.
Beautiful views 👍👍
Thanks Eric
Bloody oath good gear
Thanks Ron.
Hola, podrías agregar el momento en que prepara la comida, muy bueno los videos 👍
Can you translate to English please.
Can you translate to English please.
He said Hello, could you add the moment when he prepares the food, very good videos
Great Work Johnno as usual.Great drone shots I have been in the same parking spot you where Johnno great views but the flys wow lol have a good one mate.(:=()
Thanks Raymond. Yes the flies are one big problem if me taking footage. I can't stand them landing on me so if there's too many around them I don't do any video.
👍👍👍
Thanks David
Nice episode. Quit a load, 3 trailers for your mate. Questions to be adressed in a future episode: How many are allowed? What about roundabouts, still doable with three?
Loved it
3 is allowed in most road train permitted areas and round abouts are a non issue for a skilled driver
Different roads allow for different combinations. It's a little hard to answer and as for round-a-bouts... I've gone through a number of them with the rear facing camera so they're no problems.
Thanks James
👍
Love the night sky, fantastic star count, great photography 👌.
Great job on helping fellow truck drivers 👏.
How many litres of fuel when full in your truck, and whats average for similar vehicles?
Very interesting on scenery, certainly welll spaced compared to the UK.
Thanks for sharing and best regards John.
Thanks heaps. My truck holds 2400 litres of fuel. Yes no doubt there is more space here than the UK
@@RoadTrainAdventures , That's a fair bit of fuel, yes, Australia is 32 times bigger, with 26 million versus 67 million (UK) population. Regards John.
Wow. You're more likely to run a human over than a kangaroo.
Road Trains facts:
Issues;
Those front 5 wheel and front King pin havin’ a great work out with all that tonnes behind??
And how to get enough air to fill all units??
I'm not sure if you're first question, if you could reword it.
I could have four trailers and the air will fill up each trailer starting with the front. Most of the time, if the trailers don't have big air leaks they will still have a fair amount of air so it doesn't take long before you can drive.
You always do doubles, have you ever done triple trailers on a long hull.
Yes we do triples whenever needed. As most trips are to Perth from Melbourne or Sydney we can only take 2 at a time across that highway.
What's with the big plastic visors on the windows? I can see how effective they would be, but I've never heard why they're designed like that.
Wind break/deflector for when you have the windows down
When was this original video done mate. I’m not 100% sure but it looked my Scania in front of you with the toll road train when you turned at the lights in the very start of your video leaving Perth. I can’t see if it had blue strips on the doors and yellow chassis.
Ha ha. Dan I think this was about 10 months ago.
I was talking with Shelby from www.youtube.com/@ShelbyHBTM just the other day. About what "trucking" is meaning in the different countries and how tight time schedules and more and more "professionalism" could be the end of all "romance" or love of trucking itseld.
There i mentioned you and the outback truckers, maybe the as the "last of a kind".
You proofed it today, with the help for others.
Thanks for that!
Yes Shelby hasn't made anything for a long time. Did she say why?
@@RoadTrainAdventures Private matters, she published a few bits on Instagram the last days.
She's one of the toughest I know, making the videos on her extremly tight planned trips is a hard story.
The most vids have been produced with someone beside her, all alone it is not easy.
She had someone with her. That would make things so much easier but if I can do it with all my cameras in sure she can.
Coming into the city area, you still got to drop some and only take 1 trailer at a time?? Wondering if this has changed over time, cheers 🍺🍻🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😎👍
No so the same for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Perth I can drive straight in as a road train.
Ok cool never went to perth, but Queensland outback, brissy, outback nsw, Sydney, outback Victoria, Melbourne so still the same, stay safe take care cheers KC 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺👍🍺🍻 @@RoadTrainAdventures
👍
Nice one Johno how many litres per 100 with 2 trailers and a reasonable load 50 litres per 100?
Thanks Tony. Yes that's about the fuel economy we get. Depends on the wind too.
Has that got an X15 in it? It seems like a fairly low Revving engine
No I have the EGR Cummins
Hai john. Gud morning sorry out of topic. What would you do if u dont have a trip? Can u show us some of ur activity at home? If u dont mind ok .😅✌️
If I'm not editing a video then trying to spend time with my kids. There is nothing different I can show you in regards to that.
@@RoadTrainAdventures thanks john for the answer..everything just the same right?. ✌️
For sure
How come you don't use the clutch? BTW Love your videos.
Roadranger gearbox, only need the clutch to take off.
You have to get a feel for them.
Thanks Trevor. I can't use the clutch plus it goes in and out just fine without it.
You got it
This is a strange request from a retired usa trucker can I see a picture of the foot controls
I'm going to make another video of me changing gears this year. In this video I'll try to show the pedals as I change gears.
How much Adblue do you use per 1000km?
A euro 6 motor will use 100 litres for up to 4000km
How do you stop yourself from going cross eyed when driving the Eyre Hwy? Can you demonstrate rest stops / breaks etc. Do you BFM or AFM? Cheers!
Listen to music age stuff like that
@@RoadTrainAdventures Would it be possible for you to talk a bit about breaks and fatigue management from your perspective in an up and coming video?
@Big-Show1 There wouldn't be much to say besides to take a break when you feel you need one but I'll keep that in mind.
@@RoadTrainAdventures No worries. Cheers.
@Big-Show1 Anytime
Hi,thanks for your video, I just arrived melbourne, i have hr licenses, would you like to come with you as helper ,i want to earn experience, thanks for your help❤❤❤
Thanks heaps. We don't take on other people to help but thanks for the offer.
It's hard satisfying everyone I know that....but....your putting to much into a video that is supposed to be a truckie video...your getting to fancy pants it was like I was watching a feature film with all the dramatic music and views...it's nice to see the scenery but settle down, get back to the point of the channel....your job is a truck driver not a tour operator. Wow...I bailed out 6.27min in the video....sorry
Thanks Steven. I actually like making these videos to showcase Australia. We have such awesome scenery that many don't get to see.
Can do without the Stupid music , silence is better , wheres's the third trailer ? trying to make money from Perth with only two piss ant trailers ?
Mate get a life ok. John does a good job
@@patkelly6349 You're not wrong. Some of the best use of music & production in general in the tube-i-verse on this channel.
Thanks but not everyone likes a silent movie
Thanks Pat. I try
Thanks Neil. I thought the use of country music would be pretty neutral.
