For those that are experiencing an issue with the Conflux not spawning in the mission, you MUST complete the Specimen NES007 quest first. The reward from that quest is what makes it appear in the exotic mission.

If anyone still needs confirmation, In order to get access to the confluxes, you must complete specimen 7. In order to see the specimen quest, complete the first step of the new act 3 quest, collecting 5 items for fail safe. The lost sector mark wont show all collectibles, so run around the lost sector to find them. Then go back to failsafe and get the specimen quest. After completing it go to fail safe, she’ll give you something to be able to see the confluxes. You can do it on either normal or expert, so if you wanna knock two birds with one stone you can. Also, the second and third confluxes have timers just to lyk. Once all three are done, kill the final boss, slam your radiolites, and you’ll get your catalyst, Happy hunting folks :)
Just forewarning future people, if you reach the last puzzle and someone starts the boss or you leave you will become soft locked and unable to progress for the catalyst
Thanks for that. I started the 3rd puzzle but while going through the portals I went through the starting portal then came back. couldn't continue as the blue ball was missing.
You can do the chests in normal or hard, as long as you have the NES007 quest completed. You can do this in normal solo, then get a team so that you just can concentrate in clearing the mission in expert for the catalyst.
On the third chest instead of going foward to normal chest, go left portal. It will land you in a cave style, youll need to use the red and yellow to find hidden vex pieces until the chest spawns. It will give you new cat.
I did the same thing yeah and no chest spawns, how many pieces did you have to collect cos I got 3 and I've been looking around for any (if I've missed them) but I've scoured the whole dang thing and still no luck. Where and how did the chest spawn for you?
I can’t get the quest too progress at all so yes fuck bungie I have been soft locked out of compleating the first quest because I lagged out during on the puzzles
I love how the only bug I’ve had in this mission so far is the darkness zone just going away during the first boss fight Made it a breeze. Then it came back on the second tormentor phase
Got softlocked at the Last puzzle before the boss while streaming. Like others have said, i followed the lines from the nodes exactly and got an immune node upon exiting the portal. Had exactly one node left, went through all the portals and somehow no room had the node i needed. Right before it self replicated i was unable to progress the mission.
Ive done nes007, but my choir:eternal wont give me progress for the first chest. But i got progress for the expert completion. I dont know what to do about that
@@luffytaro5797 it isn't stated clearly in the quest step, but the part that say open/collect the first secret chest really means the first set of secret chests. So after you open the 3rd secret chest, you will get the completion for that quest step
i’m trying to unlock the catalysts already have them all but i can’t activate the them because it says i still never opened the first chest when i have so it’s locked does anyone know how to fix it?
New chest is at the same location as the second one. Instead of going to the left portal go to the one on front. Track the Vex light orb and kill the boss, it will drop a chest with this weeks NES and some lore.

Get the gun (finish normal), then get the bounty from gunsmith. Better to run an expert, cuz while doing it you'll need to finish an expert run as the last step of the quest
You can do the catalyst steps on Normal, but you need to an expert run as one of the objectives. You can do expert run, just normal kill the boss thing and then do a seperate run for the catalyst on Normal.
@@brandonarrendell3859 not sure since I got them all in one run but try checking on the first chest to see if u have to re do it. If u don’t, you’re probably good but if u can do the puzzle again it’s best to just do all of em.
Ive written down how to do the steps in intended order and below how to do them if you messed up the order like most ppl did... For everyone starting it, here is the steps you have to do as intended: 1: Play act 3 till you unlock the specimen quest 2: Do the specimen quest (cant be done without 1) 3: Play exotic on normal to unlock the weapon and scan the exo at its location (playing exotic can be done without completing 1 and 2 which is the main cause of ppl failing. do 1 and 2 first!) 4: Go to the tower and get the catalyst quest from banshee (cant be done without unlocking the weapon in step 3) 5: Do the mission on master and do the secret chests. (can be done individually or together. max efficiency by doing them together after doing 1-4) If you are struggling rn you probably have the case that you have the weapon but either A: you dont have the quest from banshee or most likely B: You havent done act 3 week 1, havent done the specimen quest that comes with it, and havent scanned the exo in the exotic mission afterwards if B: 1 do week 1 2 do the 007 quest 3 go into normal and play till you scan the exo 4.1 if you havent done master yet for the banshee quest: play master and do the secret chests 4.2 if youve already done master for banshee quest do the secret chests on normal or master, your choice
What do you do if the Vex Module, kinda disappears?? I was doing this solo on expert and was going back and forward on the portals trying to figure out this puzzle and I think everything reset and I lost the buff. Like I don't have it on any portal or the floor to pick up.

Got stuck on the last puzzle, carried a part through the portal found it was removed puzzle became impossible. But as others have addressed i no had no checkpoint, back to the beginning...😢

The third puzzle literally makes no sense. I followed it EXACTLY! I’d go exactly where the line is pointing, see that there’s a node to destroy that is NOT in a box. I go through and what do I see? A god damn immunity box! Then, I lose all of the modules and I can no longer progress. I absolutely HATE this mission now!!
Dude. I knew I wasn’t tripping … I just did this and experienced this now. I would follow it to a unboxed node go inside and it would have a box all of a sudden. Then my access keys bugged and I couldn’t go any further. Have to do the shit all over and I did it solo. I’m really tired of this game …

This is the most buggy exotic mission they ever released. I run it 3 times, one times I managed easy solo flawless. I went through it again on "master" difficulty, and of course I got two game-breaking bugs back to back. First during 3rd secret chest where it literally refused to spawn modules, and during final boss where it refused to spawn the crystal to damage the boss. Like holy shit bungie can you release at least one times something that is not broken as shit ?!
yup, horribly buggy mission, had to wipe 5 times for final boss mechanics to work.....theres tons of invisible walls, looks like you can jump to an area, just to bounce into a invis wall, and theres goes flawless, i payed AAA money for the year....we are 3 in the house that plays, but the kids have all but abandoned the game, due to grind and bugs....im gonna play what i payed for and find something better
new bug, 1/2 way through the 3rd chest, the access keys stopped working, enemies weren't spawning, and my energy and heavy weapons were not showing up. Though, when I shoot them, the bullets look like they're coming out from the top of my head. The best part is, you get to start the whole thing over again.
Buggies quest line ever!(for me at least). Kept on losing the keys during the gate keeper part, tandom disappear. Balls respawn without notice, messed up rotation. Latest problem got everything done and no catalyst from Banshee. Ready to scrap 6 years of gaming over this type of quality issues. Also should allow save sets on console. Took an hour to get to the last puzzle before the boss. Dreading the exotic mission run.
i die in the third chest and the game spawn me in other place, with red barriers, and i cant get out of there, i need elimination module, idk what to do

Welp. Picked up the quest from Banshee and solo’d it on expert after doing all the hidden chests and now banshee has nothing for me and the quest disappeared. Very cool. Edit: quest disappeared and I got no notification of any sort saying I received the catalyst. Never “finished” the quest from banshee but lo and behold I went to the enclave and there it is.
Well done 👏 I went solo and completed it and acquired the Auto witch I'm loving, On expert tho there is no way with my poor skills 😂 the first secret chest for me is bugged 🙄 iv had the chest drop yet it won't show iv completed it so I'm well peed off now 😡

Why are the mechanics and puzzles in this exotic mission so simple? Did the dungeon/raid teams get gutted? (Assuming that team also does the ex missions)
You just need to shoot all of the marked objects in area above. Put the access code into the gate, look where the beam above the gate points to, if it's pointing to one of the marked objects, go through the gate and shoot it. If it's not a marked object, take the access code out of the gate and go to the next one and see
Sorry im running behind on these since im still running around the f'n Rift lost sector on Nessus looking for golden age tech components. Good lord why did I even turn off Wukong for this.

In my case, I got killed by the stupid Wyvern and was trapped after making so much progress!

It never told me to go to him. It’s quite confusing.
You don't need to get it first, I didn't pick it up prior to doing these and it let me complete it for the catalyst

You need to do all 3 confluxes in a single run. I tried just accessing the final one without doing the first two and it wouldn't spawn
Ah I figured. I did the first, got booted and went instantly to the second location, no conflux😢
If you just wait until all exotic catalysts for the gun are un lockable you only have to run expert mode once

you first get Partition Access before that at the first puzzle, so that's going to throw people off

@@zachlukkarilayes. You do have to do all 3 chests for week 1. Then week 2 you do the paths that are meant for week 2 and do those 3 chests ect.

I got booted before the 3rd chest but seeing you get a triumph for the individual chests, I would presume you can just go straight for the last chest.
Isn't 1:22 the second time you get PARTITION? Im pretty sure you pick up a PARTITION in the area before this.
It is, you get the first yellow buff in the first puzzle area after the first secret chest.

Yeah, I think you have to finish NES007. Afterward Failsafe uses it to find the access code for that first interaction.

The chests themselves don't need to be on expert, but to get the catalyst you have to complete an expert run

Died in the room for the third chest then got stuck in a cave i couldnt get out of. Had to restart the whole thing. Still have no catalysts.
Secret chest 3 broke for me. My buddy and I broke two at the same time and now that all of them are broken without doing order, the chest won’t spawn.

You should put in the fact that you need to do the Speciman quest first.

This 💩 was so bugged for me I was only able to grab the 3rd secret chest
I did this before doing expert. Did everything all at once on expert and now I can’t even claim catalyst from banshee:(
i die in the third chest and the game spawn me in other place, with red barriers, and i cant get out of there, i need elimination module, idk what to do
Same, I’m right here now. I think you have to start the mission over sadly. Super disappointed by this, took me an hour to get here, made one mistake, now have to repeat whole thing

I'm so proud I figured all these out by myself this time, I usually watch your videos to help me. Question though, for you or anyone else....is this exotic mission not available for you in the LFG? I wanted to do the expert run, but couldn't find it to create a group in the Fireteam Finder. 😢
use the companion up legacy fireteam finder. finished and expert there with lfg.

Welp. Picked up the quest from Banshee and solo’d it on expert after doing all the hidden chests and now banshee has nothing for me and the quest disappeared. Very cool.
Edit: quest disappeared and I got no notification of any sort saying I received the catalyst. Never “finished” the quest from banshee but lo and behold I went to the enclave and there it is.
Well done 👏 I went solo and completed it and acquired the Auto witch I'm loving, On expert tho there is no way with my poor skills 😂 the first secret chest for me is bugged 🙄 iv had the chest drop yet it won't show iv completed it so I'm well peed off now 😡

If you don’t shoot the objects in time you lose the access
gotta love the shitshow, not only are the enemies spawning on the third chest unnecessary but then a fkn wyvern spawn and kills me because i didnt expect it together with that i spawn random at the ass of the universe and i am now softlocked.

Why are the mechanics and puzzles in this exotic mission so simple? Did the dungeon/raid teams get gutted? (Assuming that team also does the ex missions)
Usually there's nothing overly complicated in exotic missions to be fair
Fair point - just seems like a great map and beautiful mission but mechanics imo are lack luster I guess.

I have no idea what's going on for the last chest. Watched it 3 times now...
You just need to shoot all of the marked objects in area above. Put the access code into the gate, look where the beam above the gate points to, if it's pointing to one of the marked objects, go through the gate and shoot it. If it's not a marked object, take the access code out of the gate and go to the next one and see

No, you can do it on normal. Have you completed the story quest and NES007 this week? Maybe that's also required

U have to complete it on expert which is part of the specimen quest once the quest is done then go back in again to do all these
You don't have to do expert. Just finish the NES 007 quest.
Sorry im running behind on these since im still running around the f'n Rift lost sector on Nessus looking for golden age tech components. Good lord why did I even turn off Wukong for this.
