The combo you've shown hard loses to nibiru on summon or activation of Duodrive (detaches for effect). Usually we make duodrive first and search Cross + Plug-In, this way our 1 card always plays through exactly any single hand trap. We can play through two hand traps, if we have any extender by going through rafflesia. We also always send Aggregator with Ex to attach him to Deadnader for an extra form of interruption. If we have Cross and Duodrive without materials on field, we can always chain Plug-In to their Nib to attach a material and negate on resolution. Lastly, Rafflesia is amazing in this deck, as she is protection on our turn and can send hole thruster (for cost) on our opponents turn, which is an interruption and let's us go into UDF. This plays around a lot of board breakers like DRNM.
I personally love using the Toy Box engine for this deck. Adds even more ways to extend and search your Light monsters and can end on another xyz monster. I prefer this over Desires and Shifter just because my hatred for those 2 particular cards cannot be described lol. I also like using Ragnazero as Duodrive alters opponent's ATK so you can get another free pop and Draw 1
The two (or even 3) top decks in the OCG can run shifter. It sounds scary, but that might mean that Shifter will be a side, rather than main, card once that deckbuilding set is out. A little bit of a silver lining I guess (?)
You should play the trap as it's a great interruption and can be sent for Rafflesia, dodging imperm on your monsters. A small Shark package (one of each of the 2 new level 4) can also be played to increase your starter / extender total. The decklist in the video lose to 1/2 handtraps on almost all hands with that many non enginehigh
Before this deck was released, i was convinced Bonfire was fine. Aside from Snake Eyes, Pyro has never been popular or remotely decent. What was anyone afraid of? Volcanics? Ashened? Then they revealed this archetype, and i genuinely believe Bonfire is going to 1 in december. If not, sometime in 2025.
Even Centurion can abuse Bonfire. The idea that Bonfire could stay at 3 was always delusional cuz targets for it will never get worse and enough decks were abusing the Snake Eye engine even if they were not pure Snake Eyes.
@@dudeman209 i never thought centurion was problematic aside from calamity which is now gone. Even then, it’s not enough for me to validate touching bonfire. Pyros aren’t that strong. it feels like 1 person said this archetype was boring and everyone jumped on the bandwagon. It doesn't seem any less boring or interesting than any other deck.
This deck gets you one card combos and allows for as many handtraps as Snake Eyes, but is easier to play. Idk why Konami keeps printing these decks. Bonfire needs to go to 1 ASAP. Having a generic search card at 3 with so many targets that can turn into one card combos is insane. It's worse than Pot of Prosperity at 3.
Because Raizeol doesn't have extra deck diversity. The amount of actually good Rank 4's is very limited and the one most run like bagooska actively fuck with the decks entire strategy unlike Snake Eyes that can literally just play every single best extra deck link monster in the game with 0 consequences or locks
@@zeothesnowwolf2937 The deck isn't as generic as Snake Eyes, but it's way easier to play and uses more floodgates (like Bagooska). That's not good for gameplay.
