Damn, Zonderland got robbed in his own country SMH. No way in hell should he have lost the gold medal. Thank goodness he got Olympic gold not too long after this and then went on an epic world medal run!
His execution was far worse than the winning performance. He may have been spectacular but his execution was really subpar by comparison. In 2012 his execution was better- and continued to improve.
The thing with sacramone trying to get redemption from her mistakes in the team finals in 2008, even if she had hit her routines the Chinese team would have won anyways.
very true! I wonder if she was also motivated to redeem herself, not just the color of the medal. But to end her career on a high note and with routines that represented her training.
