My school's rumor doesn't involve anything lewd or depressing. Here goes...
I had heard from many upperclassmen and alumni about a tunnel that connected two of the school's buildings. It was said to have been a bomb shelter during WW2. This rumor turned out to be true when my drama teacher took the class to see the tunnel, as it's now used by the drama program for storing old set pieces that they don't need anymore.

4:03 my high school, 2014-2019, did the exact same thing. Multiple students each year passed away from su, od, and car accidents but they never talked about it, never brought in grief councillors, never held a memorial, even when fellow students signed petitions and went on the local news just trying to get a page in the yearbook for a boy that had been struck by a car while riding his bike, they did nothing. My best friend even tried to take her life in the school bathroom and had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance during school hours, they never said a word.
Story 1, i bet the local news would love to hear that stopry of that cover up. That is a juicy news story, that could even potentially make national news.
When I was in the Army my unit was known as "Slaughter Battalion" because of how many "self deletions" we had... There was once I thought to myself "It's been a while since we had one, we are about due"... sure enough within the week, there was one.

@@katwitanruna Mr. Facts brought it up in the video and I would argue Lex would do what the superintendent did in story 3 given that. The story about the 40 cakes is that came from a book called the Superdictionary and became a meme because of how silly it was. Superman writer JMS later made it canon in his run of Superman and gave a backstory for it. When Lex was still a kid he attempted to present a fusion-powered toaster at the school science fair, but when they rejected his submission he stole 40 cakes from the bake sale in retaliation.

Story 2: I think they were try to prevent self-termination contagion. One person does it. Then a friend of the dead who was also depressed falls of the emotional cliff and does it too.
You mean Story 1. Story 2 is the one about the teacher that sleep's with underage kids and the school sweeping it under the rug.
Same reason why you don't see any news about suicide. Unless it is a celebrity.
Actually story 1 and I suspect that it was more of a concern that the school staff would look bad rather than concern about the well being of the students.
@@IzzyPR2010 This is what I think it is. Mental health is still a fairly low priority in the US that people are finally starting to take seriously, but not everyone cares about yet. If the school district doesn't care to provide funding for mental health services in spite of the situation practically being described as an epidemic, they'd likely not want people to know how bad it is by letting it be discussed openly. People who know where to look or have the right connections would know about it, but there's probably various reasons why it's not mentioned by anyone "in the know" that'd include the risk of burning too many bridges.
One rumor i had is quite scandalous and it ruined the reputation of my school greatly. A cashier teller was embezzling tuition money and ran away with it. It turned out to be true when the construction for a building was delayed for a decade (even now that I graduated it wasn't completely built yet), teachers were on strike when they were less paid than the school chaplains (the school is Catholic) and also students were protesting when tuition fee increased drastically. The memes made about it were funny and it is because it's one of the prestigious universities, everyone in the city knew the tuition fee strike that most parents avoid enrolling their kids to go there because of how ridiculously overpriced the tuition was.
my school only had one rumor. we have this science teacher shes pretty nice but she disapeared for a couple days. everyone was wondering what happened but when she came back there was big news. she was pregnent with a girl. shes now going to give birth around the summer of this year and i feel so happy for her. i know most of the stories are horable mortifyign ones but this should brighten your day

Ok the first story is just so depressing. Not only do they exclude the dead kids in the year book or on their wall (erasing the memory of said students) but also excluding every classmate who survived. How bad are they treating those kids??? How bad is their class work or something? How much stress is being given on these poor kids?
My schools rumour is still ongoing but its a good one. So there is a teacher ,who we will call Mr G, who everyone thought was gay since he was always with another male teacher. It doesn't matter if you were honophobic or not, everyone thought he was gay. Turns out that some kids in year 11 found Mr G on a gay dating website. It had his full name and a lot of pictures of him (including some really weird ones) and now the screenshots are spreading like wild fire. I'll try to update when something happens and when i remember

Story one: I don't know if anyone else gets this impression, but I suddenly wondered "what if there was a serial k*ller within the staff at the school, and the photo wall with it's omissions acts as like a silent public token of that, maybe even keeping the omitted class photos themselves." But now my head is just going into utterly fantastical tv-plot-worthy fiction, and I've obviously watched too many Criminal Minds -esque shows in my time.
I haven't checked the messed up video yet but I been meaning to post my school story for this. Then again it wouldn't surprise me if it comes up in "How did that kid get expelled on the first day"? So in case you do this, here's my story:
Context: This was in college and this kid got expelled within the first month.
I was in my senior year of college, and was entering one of my afternoon classes when I noticed my classmates were acting pretty serious, talking to each other. When I ask what's going on this is what I learned: Apparently this freshman has brought his gun to school and he was just arrested after this information got out. I should mention that;
A) He had a license to possess the firearm and,
B) My school has an EXTREMELY strict security protocol against bringing anything to campus that can be used as a weapon. They have posts where security officers will I.D. you before you can leave/enter campus at all points, the streets are littered with emergency call posts, and it even states on their website that your not allowed to bring weapons to campus (This rule is why I wasn't allowed to bring my archery equipment to campus).
So how he got caught? Well one day the kid made the mistake to leave his personal safe (which we are allowed to bring to campus) unlocked, and his roommate took a quick glance and saw the gun. It also didn't help that he allegedly started a hit list that he been building up. When interrogated about why he brought a gun to school, he reveals that he would feel "Naked and uncomfortable" without a gun in his possession, so he smuggled it to school despite policy. Kid has been trialed and jailed for a couple of years and I been told that once he gets out the school president was willing to let him back into college for a second chance (and if you think there's something wrong with that, I should mention that my College Principal has been known to grant opportunities to everyone including the less fortunate. He's the main reason why my college went from being extremely small to covering several acres and counting. The kid should be grateful he gets a second chance to not screw himself out of a promising future)
the only rumor that any of my schools had was that the middle school art teacher did pot/drugs. it wasn't really a rumor but more of a "wouldn't be surprised if she didn't, wouldn't be surprised if she did" type of thing because we accepted she may have just been eccentric and/or loved her place in life (in my area eccentric people are kinda common).
If so many students are ending themselves, maybe the need ALL NEW TEACHERS!
Or at least some competent counselors since some of the parents are probably the issue and just playing dumb.
11:48 There's enough details in this story to confirm that it isn't from any school I went to (as far as I know, we don't have any "DAEP" schools nearby, at least not that I know of), but the same exact thing happened to me. Lockdown on Halloween and all. I remember that a car had parked in the back of the school, on the grass, when it had never been there before, and everybody freaked out. Turns out it just belonged to one of the staff members, but still, people still talk about the whole clown thing.
That first story is such a conspiracy to obfuscate the worst tragedy that can occur for teenagers for the sake of some kind of blind, comforting ignorance. 'She's gone? Sorry, who? They don't seem familiar. Were they really here?' that is shady shit
It’s because it makes the school look bad which affects its funding. If they brush it under the rug they still get their money even if it hurts the students.

This was actually a rumour spread at my school about another school nearby. So in elementary there was a rumour that a secondary school (not naming it for reasons) had a secret vip floor with a pool and other amenities, and that only 12th graders and staff could access it. Thinking back on it it was definitely fake. But I was in like 4th grade at the time so I did believe it, as well as other students. Lol.
It’s funny cs my school actually had something like this but it was the basement instead💀 only way u could use the elevators to get there was if u played a specific sport or were staff that pool was goated😩

When my brother was in high school there was a group of girls who were snorting Adderall in the bathroom behind the kitchen (my favorite bathroom when I was there a few years later because hardly anyone used it). There was also a girl giving BJs for $5 in the lower locker room, while I was there teacher still made jokes about it.
When I was in high school, there was a girl who would set up memorials for every shooting and tragedy that happened, including a team of school hockey players who died on a bus in Canada. We live in Wisconsin. She put up the memorial and started yelling at anyone who ask her what it was for. She organized a walk out for the Parkland shooting and got mad at me for not going (it was during my math class, I was almost failing, I was using that to get help in math). I found out that she read the name of all the shooting victims that exist all the way back to Columine, she also put index cards all over the trophy cases with each victims name.
She later started claiming that different boys were forcing themselves on her, even boys that didn't even really know her. That's when the kids that were already SJW kids started turning on her.
I got reamed out by a lot of SJW kids for: Not knowing EVERYTHING going on at age 17 when my concern was just getting through math and into the college I wanted and not going to the protests.
Was #6 in a small town in California? I had that EXACT same thing happen to me in elementary school.

7:31 that makes sense as in one version. Lex grew up in a suburb of a metropolis so bad it was literally called the suicide slump or slum. In fact, I’m pretty sure if Luther heard about that he probably use the metal from the statue the superintendent built of herself and her alive in the molten metal or he might just tell the joker to go crazy on her. Sorry to ramble for a bit but I imagine if the bad family heard about her they’d be like just sitting out there waiting until the Joker was about to kill her, then stop him
The first story just sounds like they don’t want negative attention towards the school causing students to transfer elsewhere which means less funding for the school they don’t really care that the kids are dying they care that it might affect their revenue which doesn’t surprise me
The old Music teacher at my school was always known for having his "Favourites". They were basically kids that would always get the lead roles in school plays and constantly doing some performance or another. One of the Favourites was a girl in my class. Tbh she was always a bit of a diva and obviously thought that she could just get through school by only doing Music. It got to the point where she would only turn up for Music lessons and then ditch the other classes that day. If we didn't have Music one day, she just wouldn't show up at all. There was a class joke that sometimes came up that the Music teacher and the student were dating. When the teacher left the school, it turned out that he and the Favourite in my class would often have "after school tuition sessions" and the teacher would even drive the student home.
Oh my goodness, I remember the 2016 clown crap. I was actually working Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the time. My company actually issued a high alert to all branches including the branches in areas with not so good. Lighting to install flood lights with motion detectors effective immediately. Just say we had two powerful flood lights put in because of that

Another one was my PE teacher in Highschool my freshman year was arrested the summer between my my freshman and sophomore years for sexual harassment of minors. He somehow got out of jail time, but was arrested again about a year later for being a part of a sex trafficking ring.

One year in elementary school the 6 graders told all of the younger year students that one of the murderous clowns was in the vent. Took the principal to say something over the intercom that the rumors were not true.

That's because that's (likely) exactly what it is. In a depressingly large number of areas in the US mental health isn't taken seriously, even in schools, but tragedies sell. If word got out that a *middle school* had a "self-termination" epidemic it would likely draw reporters to the situation like wildfire and cause a lot of problems for the higher ups in the school district. Rather than actually do anything about it, that school district just keeps anyone from finding out as best they can and, seemingly, unpersons entire classes that *do* make a big deal about their friends not being with them anymore by just not talking about them or acknowledging they existed. Sure, they can't hide it perfectly, but a dark rumor draws less attention than "school holds memorial for seventh self-terminated student in two years" would.

Turns out our Principal got replaced because he was to smart for our local School officials got retired due to "overqualification" his replacement didnt even have a pedagogic qualification but what he was apparantly good at was bookwork

Story three is like something from an older Batman comic. Something that would end up as a batcave trophy.
I remember reading a similar story from the Bronze Age. It had Dick being scammed into promoting a phony charity and when he learned the truth, he decided to dress as Batman to get revenge only to end facing Matches Malone (aka Bruce's go-to criminal identity for undercover work). For fake charities or stealing from charity is about as bad what the superintendent at least banks and their customers are insured.

A teacher at my school wanted to do a school production of a well-known musical. As these things go, you need to procure a license for the musical in question. She apparently tried to get the license but didn't get it. She thought it would be a great idea to go through with the show anyway. Not getting these things licensed is a bit of a gamble but if you never apply for it, chances are nobody will notice if a small school in a different country than the license holder does it. But if you apply for it, get rejected and do it anyway? They're onto you and it's so, so much more likely that they'll find out. Which they did. And then the school got fined a pretty huge sum (~30k iirc). All just so that one teacher could watch students prance around in lingerie (it was the Rocky Horror show, which in itself was kind of a questionable choice for a school production, really).

one of my Teachers' husband (who was the construction / shop teacher) rumored to have a missing testicle. The rumor went that he was whacked with a towel in the nads and it caused it to go inside of him.. but the truth was more mundane.. he had a birth defect, he was only born with a single one.

Grammar school. 2 girls told me this one girl in my class was a "Oh"(Y'all know what I mean). I didn't really care. Time went on,I saw the girl on topic's Myspace profile. The "Oh" had "I ❤️ my baby" but a different guy in her profile pic. It was true. Freshman year,she got pregnant and dropped out. I never saw her again. She's on Facebook but I have her on my Blocklist. The "Oh" and I weren't close and we have some sour memories. I think she lives or lived around the same neighborhood as me. Nice legacy she left behind.
my art teacher freshmen year of high school everyone said he was a real weirdo and a creep. Well they turned out to be right he'd make the tempature in the hot enough so that no one would wear a sweater, he's walk behind us and at as if he was looking at our work but only did this to the girls wearing tank tops or cute shirts, soon all the girls were literally taking normal tshirts to school and changing into them before his class. No one really raised any concerns because no one could prove anything cause this was before everyone had a phone so we couldn't record anything. My cousin who previously attended his class told me he kept P on his school computer i laughed and replied i woildnt be surprised. Well he was also known for having a short fuse and one of those cartoons isn't art type people who gave us the most riddeous assignments. I once left my bag in that class accidently and came back to find my sketchbook completely full of dicks and boobs and very obscence words over my sketches and such. I blammed the boys but they swore they never touched my bag they were too busy with the hockey figure they were making from crappy old newspaper. I was angry but managed to save my sketches with help of a friend with a very small eraser and lots of time. Anyway the next year i was sent to a special side school which was not in the actual high school. A new student joined halfway through the year and told us the art teacher had been fired when police actually came in, arrested him and took his computer, he had tried to delete his tracks but well nothing ever is deleted on a harddrive until you write over it, turns out we were all right he was a major perv who had some of the hardest most disgusting p on his school computer that according to the new student it couldnt be described by the cops. I even verified this through a friend at the actual school plus that day when i got on the bus to go home its all everyone from the high school was talking about.
Ah then there was my principal who had a habbit of vanishing for long periods of time and everyone joked that she was probably in her car drunk. Well they weren't wrong she was getting drunk in her car and no one ever fired this women she's still working at the school to this day to my knowledge.
Oh yeah I remember that I remember that so f****** well there are even rumors that my School Somerset High School was going to get attacked I was a sophomore in high school when this happened so I remember everything about yeah and even my parents wanted to give me and my sister knives to defend ourselves and it also happened around the time of Halloween and no clown costumes were even allowed at trick-or-treating Halloween died that year there was a heavy heavy police presence in Somerset I mean the whole city of Somerset Texas had about 40-50 cop cars anywhere you could think of there were San Antonio Police Department Bexar County Sheriff Somerset police department and also Medina County and Atascosa County Sheriff's as well

School Rumor: . High school there was a rumor that a teacher stayed in a bathroom Wayyy to long. One day, an ambulance at our school and that same teacher was busted for having a glass coke bottle stuck in the You Know Where. We all seen her getting taken out and it was soon all over school. She was later called (Ms Coke Bottle). She quit.

There was a rumor our high school was in a lesser-known lgbt movie. I didn't believe it since what are the chances until my theater teacher proved those rumors to be true. He played a trailer clip of the movie which showed the library and hallways at the school. That movie is Hurricane Bianca.

For that suicide school I can guarantee you that if you were to do some literal digging you would find an underground temple complex containing the bound form of a Great Old One. The staff are in on it and the student suicides are being used as a means of either keeping the Old One sealed or hastening Its release.

Story 1: you'd think that any school officials or what ever would at least investigate on what's going on in that school if students are killing themselves to the point that some class don't even exist every year, op hasn't mentioned if there was and bullying, stress from school or home life which is weird because with the rumours you'd think that they would hear of any word about whats up with the students but I don't know, also fuck the teachers that sweep it under the rug cos they clearly don't give two shits about the students.

19:14 to ease your mind a bit, there is also a lot of selection bias included. If you ask after these kind of stories, you wont get any "didnt happen here"s. So although it is the absolute worst that this kind of stuff happens at all, it is probably not as common as the amount of stories makes it feel like.

If you ever assemble comments for threads on "Awkward school moments", here's some:
1. Sex ed class in 6th grade. In the anonymous questions box, kid asks 'I get hard in the locker room while changing for gym class. Is that a sign?" and without a beat the class prick says "It means that you're a gay boy!" and some in the class giggled. Keep in mind this was in the fall of 1993 and well back then, adolescent boys did make occasional homophobic jokes/insults.
2. I myself had to stand up at my desk and give answers and such during a Social Studies class ..... while trying to conceal a boner. Then again, us guys have all had those awkward HOFNAR's (Hard On For No Apparent Reason) in middle school.
