This had me gaping! Also, as a European, I've never heard anything more American than "This is a great trick to do at home, so grab a deck of cards and a whole bunch of bullets".
Great Shot, Fun Video, all around entertaining! Its really refreshing to see someone shoot this type of shot from a distance more than 10 feet away(unlike some "Trick shooters")......and the fact you don't edit out your misses! Keep up the great work.
GY6vids Hey thank you! I don't really focus too much on distance/# of shots, because it's more about each shooter challenging his/herself individually and just enjoying shooting! Not "impressing" anyone (hence why I show my misses), but hopefully inspiring each other on our shooting adventures and being authentic. But I do appreciate you seeing the extra details in this. Always great to get a truly genuine compliment from a good shooter (whether guns or cameras ;))
One thing to point out, Kirsten: you split a card that had a plastic coating on it. The old-timers split cards without this coating. Thus, your accomplishment was harder to achieve. Congratulations! You didn't just match what the old-timers did, you bested them! Annie Oakley would be very proud of you!
That makes a lot of sense ... I wonder if they make un-coated ones for general use. I know they sell them on places like Fall Creek Sutlery for reenactors so naturally those would be uncoated
You always put a smile on my face with your shooting, explaining your mastery of firearms and humor. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many people.
My deepest respect, Kirsten! Makes me happy to enjoying your skills and sharing your charming personality with us here, the more as I am happily sharing a live with a gal who has proven on her first shooting being far more accurate and conistent in results than a Scots Highlander and 2 girls who had been with the army and whose facey looks just like Annie Oakley's. Will show you your vid and hope she will be in for more. mbr and yesss: keep up the great work!
Kirsten , you are wonderful ambassador for shooting and a very excellent shot. Outstanding tou habe got a few more fans from my son and I. Cheers feom Australia
That was one of THE most impressive shots I've ever seen! Well done little lady! I very seriously doubt many other shooters could make that on the third try. I know I couldn't.
I will be using some of your trick shots to challenge my 4-H shooters this year, both smallbore and air rifle. Thanks for the inspiration you give these girls and boys.
As always, Kirsten, you're a pleasure to watch and your abilities as a shooter are downright inspiring and impressive. I've already subscribed, but will pass it along to my hommies and get them to sign on as well. These guys are little bit rough around the edges and I hope they comport themselves as proper gentlemen. I know they will be smitten, that's for sure!
haha, well I really appreciate you sharing this, it helps and truly matters. If each person shared with just one other person...that's amazing! But you're doing even more than that, so thank you
2:24, Wow, I knew you could do it especially since I've seen you do it before and without a scope. Great shooting Annie.......Ooooops.......I mean Kirsten!!!
Excellent shot. I still stumped by the left hip forward and the right shoulder over the the right heel shooting position, but hey! It works well for Kirsten!
Wahoo ma'am that's some mighty fine shooting. Kirsten you always have something to peak our interest. Thank you again for a great trick to show us. Have a straight shooting day.
Good shooting whichever way you look at it, whatever the caliber, whatever the distance. Looks fun, I'll have to try that next time I find a deck of cards.
Kirsten - First - great shot! Second - Just discovered your TH-cam videos (sorry it took so long!) Third - You are truly a treasure and asset to the shooting sports. Fourth - Am so impressed that you teach shooting! Have tons of respect and admiration for you! Keep up the good work... Retired Master Sergeant
Hi Kirsten, I'm a new subscriber and I've seen some of your videos and this is really an amazing shot! You've got very sharp eyes and steady hands. I wish I could do trick shots like you but my eyesight isn't that good and I know only some basic shooting for home self defense. Looking forward to viewing more of your vids including those with Gunny. Stay safe and God bless.
I certainly WILL try this at home, thanks for the suggestion. I live in an apartment building in the city but will close the windows first so as to spare my neighbors any undue noise. Least I can do.
Love the videos & this one is no exception. I only wish when you present the challenge you would mention the parameters & what equipment you used. Henry, Winchester, Rossi...etc. Distance? Keep up the great work!
Yet another great shot, and you were rocking that Henry .22 nicely. But, just to be as Annie Oakley as possible, it should have been either a Marlin 39A or (more authentic still) the 39A's predecessor, the 1891, which Marlin brought back in modern form a few years ago. The 1891 was said to be her favorite rifle of all, and there are many photos of her with it.
We used to have weekly pistol matches. At the end we'd drop a quarter for a shot at a card. Sometimes the quarters added up to real money. I tried every angle I could including lining up the front sight with the length of the card to at least get the vertical alignment as close as possible but when one can't shoot no amount of playing angles will help. Another we tried was bringing the largest size bullet- in my case a .45- to the game hoping a larger size bullet would reduce the error but again no help. The quarter shots were more competitive and stressful than regional high power matches I've been in.
WoooHoooo I love your shooting.... I watched a video of you carving a pumpkin and then went to youtube looking for more. The double barreled 45 was awesome, how did you get your finger to reach both triggers and still be accurate? Keep up the shooting video, your enthusiasm is inspiring!!!
Beautiful areas that you shoot in. What State is that in! Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico. Always a pleasure to watch you shoot. You make me smile just due to the fact your having fun. You are a fine example for our youth to follow in today.
Great shootin' there Tex! Never had a doubt, you are an amazing shot. Modern day Annie Oakley. If Sitting Bull were around today, he'd surely name you "Little Sure Shot". Fun stuff as always, keep shooting true Kirsten! Now to find a way to be your Frank Butler...dare to dream, right? hehehe ;)
I love that big smile making that shot put on your face! Shooting is so fun! Now to be a real Annie Oakley lets see you do it over your shoulder backwards with a mirror. :-)
It's always nice to see you. You''re lookin' great. Easy to see you are havin' fun in what you doing. Your Videos are very good ! You show us cool and interesting guns and how to use them professionally + U R a good (!) shooter . it's a pleasure to watch your Videos !!✌👍 💜 Greetings ! Thank U !
That a girl!!!! Good to see a trick shot again. Good shooting and with my favorite rifle!! Next time see how fast you can shoot the pips off of a 5 of diamonds!! Im watching on my break at work and you made my day thanks!!!
Good shots! I vaguely remember trying this with friends years ago. I think I ended up with one like your first shot. I can't remember if I ever did a full split.
Nice! I find that the cards do not split well if they have any sort of give (I've learned this the hard way - or maybe the lazy way as I rarely have the best way to secure them in the field haha). You probably would have split it through but it had some give or bend that prevented a full split. Keep it up!
I can watch you shoot all day lol beautiful and amazing skills! not enough women like guns where I'm from =/ Good luck on your upcoming trick shots! Looking forward to seeing them
Hi Kirsten...just watched this one. Your too funny...”I can’t see anything!” Great shot by the way...doubt there are many of us that could even strike a card on 2nd shot and split one on the 3rd.
Nice shooting and hello from Texas! Last time I tried to split a card with my Henry the card kept moving when struck and I got a partial split from both sides. :) Guess I need to anchor it down better next time or aim more true! Well done. Subbed.
That happens to me too! Yes, you're right, you have to really anchor them and it helps to use stiff cards (not the dollar store cards I usually buy lol) ... I need to follow my own advice... :)
This had me gaping!
Also, as a European, I've never heard anything more American than "This is a great trick to do at home, so grab a deck of cards and a whole bunch of bullets".
LOL! :D
I have more bullets than I do cards.

That's definitely up there ;)
Annie Oakley rides again. What a shot!
Now, you can call yourself a GREAT SHOOTER :) greetings from northern Greece, Pella-the heartland of Makedonia.

I have actually made this shot before ( with a scope) and it's tough. You doing with open sights is crazy. Great shot.
I used to do it too. I was a long time ago, so I don't remember if I used a scope.
All your videos are amazingly entertaining! Loved this one, especially the out takes!
There is absolutely no trick when it comes to you, you are simply Pure Joy! That's what people love about you!
One thing to point out, Kirsten: you split a card that had a plastic coating on it. The old-timers split cards without this coating. Thus, your accomplishment was harder to achieve. Congratulations! You didn't just match what the old-timers did, you bested them! Annie Oakley would be very proud of you!
Huh! I never realized that. Thank you for pointing that out!
@@KirstenJoyWeiss : You are most welcome!
That makes a lot of sense ... I wonder if they make un-coated ones for general use. I know they sell them on places like Fall Creek Sutlery for reenactors so naturally those would be uncoated
This is the most positive group of commenters on TH-cam lol
Great shot.
You always put a smile on my face with your shooting, explaining your mastery of firearms and humor. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many people.
That was a fantastic trick shot! And under pressure too. I am utterly smitten, Kirsten!
Being English, the whole guns and wild west thing has rather passed me by but I'm very impressed - that was a nice shot.
That is a extremely difficult shot to make. What is so much fun about your videos is that you make it become fun. I truly enjoy watching your vids!
Thank you John :)
Thank You for response it was very thoughful!
Job well done & you look the part too. kool.

robdotrob :)
Your shooting and your videos are awesome, but it's your blooper reel afterwards that really made me subscribe to your channel. You're hi-larious!
Goball68 Lol! You mean I didn't even have to have all that pressure?? just kidding ;D
I can't even see a card 5 meters away in sideways and this girl just splits it in half with ironsights...
Just wow...
My thoughts as well
Omg, Could you even see the card? Amazing. You are very gifted.
Excellent shooting!!! I wish I was that good! I love the way she shoots too, very hmm.....you know!! Very nice, ya, that's it.
2:24, Wow, I knew you could do it especially since I've seen you do it before and without a scope. Great shooting Annie.......Ooooops.......I mean Kirsten!!!
That shoot was amazing!!! But I'm rather curious about the distance between you and the card
Freaking awesome! Nicely done! Love the hat!
Outstanding! That was fun to watch! I especially enjoyed your candor, honest and skills! Nice job girl!
Omg not sure which is more exciting to watch the shooting or Kristen.

Badass! A pleasure to watch... Nice soundtracks every time too.

Wow is the only word to describe Kirsten!!!
Outstanding young lady! Wish I had a 3rd of your talent. Please keep the vids coming.

Kirsten Joy Weiss Heck, more people.
I might be able to do this shot in 150 rounds. You have a gift Kirsten and are very talented.
Probably about the size of it with me, depends on how lucky I am that day.
Awesome shot. Nice hat, too.
found this video in the blaze. that is some great shooting.
Hi Kirsten...just watched this one. Your too funny...”I can’t see anything!” Great shot by the way...doubt there are many of us that could even strike a card on 2nd shot and split one on the 3rd.

I know it's an old video but still a nice shot.
*Really nice!*
