BelievI was singing this in my car on the way home from rehearsal yesterday (tech week for our HS production of Heathers) Unfortunately I'm not part of the cast as I'm too scared of choking and freezing up (happened once when I was a kid, have since done some stuff on stage but I still can't bring myself to join the acting class :( ), but I was singing along with life boat, a couple octaves down obviously, but then Candy Store came on and I can't actually believe I'm able to say this because I haven't properly sung music in almost a year (combination of damage from screaming in sports and a nasty cold I got) but I nailed every single note about as perfect as is possible... So it's definitely possible to do it, I guess you just have to have a certain range, I mean the very highest notes were a challenge (had to strain a little bit) but still all things considered it was pretty easy once I figured out how I had to adjust my pitch. Seems like that's what these guys did as well, really fun to listen to, I wish more men would do serious interpretations of this song and some of the others in Heathers, I feel like a lot of them would benefit in a unique way due to the tone of a male voice.
