- How to install Tusk Heated Seat warmer units in Polaris Rzr 900 Trail Fox Edition - we show you how to install the seat heaters on our rzr 900 Trail Fox Edition with minimal tools and hassle. Check out how you can be toasty warm when riding in the colder temperatures this year!
With only flathead screwdriver, pliers, stapler, torx (for seat removal from frame), hammer and some glue, you should be all good for a quick install. Estimated time was 1 hour per seat, but running the wiring will help speed up the process for the second seat.

Thanks for commenting. Its only time-consuming for the seat tear-down, but worth it in the end. Was riding in the snow yesterday, 32 degrees out and on high, I could still feel it through thermals, jeans and my one piece riding outfit!

I installed these in my 2023 Polaris RZR 900 I feel like these don’t get very hot. Do you think the same or what is your take on how hot they get?
Mine got very hot on high. I think they will draw about 7.5amps each so make sure you''re not overloaded. I never had an issue with them even when they got wet. The switches failed, but they sell replacement ones. I enjoyed these in my rzr very much, wearing a carhart outfit, I had to turn it down to low since I was getting hot butt.
@@TheBeatenTrail sorry I don’t know a whole ton about electrical. If they are being overloaded what can I do?
I don't think its overloading. I would just check how much equipment you have drawing and if you have any voltage drop when they're on. Could be a bad element in one of them. Another test would be a 12v cigarette plug in seat cover (heated) to see if that works by itself, then you'd know something is wrong with the embedded one installed in the seat. Reconnect both connectors as well.
@TheBeatenTrail this was a good reply. I recently came across this. Didn't know it was an option. I'm putting these seats in a mini jet boat and I was wondering if getting wet would effect it.
@@BuyBuildThrash I know that mine got wet from being submerged in water now and then, but unsure how well they might do with a regular soaking of water. Salt water, if applicable, would not be a good mix for it either. Unsure how long that would last even if you waterproofed all the wiring and connectors. :/
