I want to say thank you Ms. Chef Trini. I made the corn soup and it was delicious the only thing I did different I left the veggies whole and just blend the split peas and chick peas. Thank you again may God continue to bless you.
i forgot to make a comment but i have made this soup a couple times learning from this video 12/4/16 just finished making a fresh pot and every time even when i mix it up and include my own twist the taste 100% Never fails great video i feel like im back home eating this soup thank you !
Hi I have a few questions: What is the exact quantity used of pumpkin? One cup? The recipe said "a piece" What is the exact quantity of green seasoning used? It looked like two table spoons but I couldn't tell. You said to puree the spilt peas and channa but for someone who doesn't have a blender as yet, is there an alternative? I would appreciate your feedback.
Now .... why did I not think of that ??? - SILLY BILLY !! Many many thanks for the idea - that would save a few 50 miles return trips. And by the way , love the photos and that killer dress. Your fans would, I am sure, want to see more ... dresses that is !! 😊 🌷🌷🌷
Am fine Princess, I tried your corn soup and I add the pepper and ah so shame is the only dish I've been cooking and eating since, its so delicious and am hook on this dish ,just a small bowl and am happy and satisfied.
+Taste of Trini it was amazing. I gave some to my land lady and she was begging for the recipe. I never made soup in my life I just followed ur instructions and it came out fantastic. so excited .going to try some more of your recipes. 🖒🖒🖒
+shellyann bannah Hi, Yes i boiled the split peas and channa and pureed it with an immersion blender. You can also put it in your regular blender if you want. Hope this was helpful, thank you for watching!
Hey ... Got it - 🍜 but as a wacky cook I will crispy fry some onions and 2 scotch bonnet world [ and garlic as optional ] and add at the finish 😋 You are just wonderful. Have to go to the end of the world to get the ingredients though ... price to pay for living remotely. Many many thanks.

I made this soup tonight, my house smells awesome. Can't wait to try it. I forgot to puree the Chana Dal and chickpeas. I will put in food processor once it's done. Will that change the taste ?
Amazingly done!!!!! I'd just like to suggest that some people if I may say spice this up by making corn dumplings instead of completely flour dumplings and to thicken if it is too loose about a tsp of corn meal to the soup... Check it out but to me, this is simply amazing!!

You're right!
Did you get that corn down here in Trinidad? You should make some and sell it while you are down here I am sure it will sell like "hot bread"😅😅😅
Nope, but I prefer Trini corn though. Lol Hmmm, yeah I should put up a shed haha
I love Canadian peaches and cream corn but it is difficult to bring it into Trinidad, most times they take it away in immigration
+Vanessa Lal Damn, I don't even take the chance to bring it
Maybe you can usea wooden spoon to avoid the scrapping noise in the pot...
I need the recipe
