Hi Fergus :) Thanks so much for watching and leaving us a comment, much appreciated! No point beating about the bush, the sea scares the s%^& out of me but I still love this life, it feels so real. Hope you are keeping well :) Sending our best from the West Coast of Scotland 󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃 Asha & Mark

I think, if we are honest, that everyone who goes to sea experiences anxiety to some degree or other. Learning to deal with it gives one a great sense of achievement after arriving at the next port. You are coping just fine. Keep doing what you're doing!

Hi Patrick :) Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. It does sometimes take getting through one breath at a time, trusting that everything, whether good or bad, will pass. Indeed, reaching a port after a challenging passage tastes so much sweeter. I can't imaging doing this ever single handed, so I appreciate you relating to my experience.

      Hi Craig 🙃
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, we'd like to think so, as sailing can be trying at times.
Wishing you all the best 🤗

Asha - Proud of you. Accepting fear, anxiety etc etc & working with/despite it is to display courage. It's what makes intelligent, well-grounded sailors ever so slightly super-human. I and a few others would crew for you any day.
    Cheers

Hi John 🙂 Thank you so much for watching and for your super-kind words. I felt a bit awkward when Mark asked me if he could include this bit of recording in the next episode but then I though - that's how things sometimes are, when I have to pull through one breath at a time. This sailing is some rollercoaster for me, but it is very rewarding and knowing that people do relate to my experience gives me a great degree of comfort. It's a fair change for me as my sailing life really has begun with Mark on Altor, and it is amazing. Thanks so much for your crewing offer - I will keep that in mind ⛵🙃 Look forward to seeing you in Largs later this year!

Hi Olav 🙃 Thank you so much for watching & your lovely comment. Being out on the sea for sure takes us on a rollercoaster of raw emotions that are impossible to just brush off - from "this is the best lifestyle ever" to " what the hell are we doing here"... Definitely experiencing the spectrum, which I suspect reaches way beyond what we experienced so far, makes us dive deep into pondering ideas.

Great sail ! Sailing allows your mind to fly, or sail, with you .And that’s marvellous!! Enjoy every second … big cheers from Muros Our friendly orcas are back but less active so far! Fair winds and happy seas …

Hi Jesus 🙃 Thanks so much for watching and sharing your comment! Yes, the sea does unleash the mind and sets it free. Hope you get to hang out with the friendly orcas and enjoy your summer! We are now rounding the west fjords and our bow is pointed south. Hugs from Iceland 🤗 Asha & Mark

Hi Rob 🙃 Thanks so much for watching and your comment! Indeed, change of the style for Mark, which I like a lot 😉 The message was for Mark's ears only but since he edits the videos and deals with all the footage, he could choose to share it further. Sometimes I do wonder how did I end up sailing offshore with no way out, only through, but so is life - no way out, only though, so I just breath and try to soak up the experience for whatever it is. I felt I needed to share with Mark what was going through my head and heart in my lonely and scared moment, as he shares the journey with me and I wanted him to know.

@@robertwilliams4618 I'm glad you can relate to our experience 🙃 You are so right, it's a bizarre experience we are having here, everything can be flipped on its head and be a complete opposite... Weird reality, where things that makes us happy can make us unhappy the very next day, hour, moment... Hope there is bliss for us all 🥃

Hi Chris 🙃 Thank you so much for watching and your comment! We are having a definitely wetter and colder experience here in Iceland this year in comparison with what we had two years ago. The locals referred to the the weather back then as the summer of the century. Thankfully the sun peeks out now and then. We are now rounding the western fjords and heading south. Hope the weather calms down for you too so you can enjoy the summer! Wishing you all the best 🤗 Asha & Mark

Mark, dude, you are one lucky guy! Asha, thanks for the pure honesty about the conflicting emotions. It makes me think that life, joy, adventure, fear, anxiety are all intertwined. You are living “out there” on the edge. But you are really living! What a gift, the gift of deep love, as you rely on each other…..beautiful.

Hi Don. Thank you for that lovely message. I think you are spot on. Everything is intertwined. Duality seems to be the sense of humour of life! Thank you again for your kind words. I think you are a very luck man, Mark. Asha has always struck me as being a most capable, competent and practical sailor.
I always enjoy her solo navigation/sailing commentary segments when she consistently demonstrates an ability to manage a large yacht, like Altor with an equal measure of knowledge and ability.
More power to her and more power to you both. 💪👏
Continued safe passage and thank you, as ever, for the superb content!

Thank you Craig for that lovely comment. I agree with you. I am a lucky man and knowing that Asha is on watch allows me to sleep on passage. She often doubts her own ability but she shouldn’t and I am very pleased that her ability comes across in the videos. Thank you so much for watching. Mark
Hi Craig. This is Asha. Thank you for your lovely and encouraging comment. Sometimes I do doubt my ability because I haven’t been sailing for very long and although Mark encourages me, it is so nice to have encouragement from our viewers too so thank you very much and all the very best to you.
