Reminds me the day I became saved. It was a Sunday... the sermon was about Peter... he was portrayed as “one who started things, but never finished anything...” I felt God was speaking to me. So when the preacher called the invitation - didn’t come forward. But I tell you, I cried so hard when the service was over... I wasn’t getting out of that church until I make that commitment to Jesus. That day my Mom, husband and myself were all saved. The next Sunday - we were all baptized. You see, I was afraid I would “start” my walk... but wouldn’t be able to “finish”. That was over 40 years ago.
My son is a prodical son. I pray that he will repent and place his faith in Christ and follow Him. Thank you for your prayers. I know the Lord has a purpose for his life.

I feel you.. I cry for our son all the time.. He thinks we dont love him, he hates coming home, he plays saxaphone in a church in the city, am so afraid of his choices that he has made. Hes not working, he lives on help, wont call home or talk to us.. I have prepared myself for any eventuality..but the eventuality that i will love the most is the day he will walk home and settle down.. I have asked him to seek Christ.. I hope he does find Christ...

Billy Graham was a true man of God. He preached salvation and the love of God only. He never got busy with the prosperity and money gospel which our present day preachers are occupied with.
May I share a story with those struggling with their own prodigal? I had one of my own. My daughter became a Christian early in life, but by the time she graduated college she made this startling statement, "I don't believe in absolutes." I went home and prayed, rather than argue with her. The Lord told me to turn to Luke 15 and directed me to the parable of the prodigal son. When I finished reading it God spoke to my heart. "You go up on the road and wait for her return...and I will be waiting with you." Brothers and sisters who have one who has strayed I want you to know right now that "God is not willing that any should perish. Through prayer He can do what we think is impossible. Around 2 years after that time with God my daughter called me, weeping. She said, "I'm so sorry dad. I found a good church here and rededicated my life to Christ." You see, it doesn't matter how far our kids go, or what they get into, it only matters that we hold them up in prayer and love them with the love of God. You see we all were the stray lamb the Shepherd left the flock for. We must not forget that, and remember that as He was able to find us and carry us Home, God is able to do the same with our children.

I remember the day I was born again, it was December the 18th 1988. I was an alcoholic I raised six children I used to curse. my daughter came to visit me December the 17th 1988 and was telling me about Jesus. I told her I don't want to hear about Jesus and then I went to my bathroom and locked the door and cried I knew that that moment that God touched me, the next day she came back and asked me if I wanted to go to church and I said yes when I got to church the pastor asked me something but I don't remember what he said I only remember what I said. I told him I was tired of living the life I was living. no sooner than I said those words I was delivered from alcohol cursing and many other things before I left the church. and when I got home there was a guy in the driveway waiting for me I used to date him. so I said you're welcome to come in. and I told him that if he spent the night he would have to sleep on the couch. and he said why? I said because today I was born again. and he said what I said I was born again today, he got up walked out of my home never said goodbye I never seen him again. that's the moment I knew that God had transformed my life he took away all of that. it's 33 years later and I'm still living for Jesus praise God hallelujah. and I've also seen my family saved and I was raised being sexually abused by my stepfather and when I got saved I wrote a letter to Billy Graham and I told him what had happened to me as a child. and he sent me a letter and told me you have to forgive them or God will not forgive you of your sins. and I did that I forgave my mother for allowing it to happen and not doing anything about it and I forgave my stepfather. and that was a big burden lifted up off of me God taught me how to forgive others how to love others no matter who they are what they've done or how they live we are to love each other. I'm grateful to God for saving me it's a best thing I've ever did it was the best decision I ever made. I wouldn't change it for the world. I witness to people all the time because I do not want to see them Perish. As Christians that's what we are supposed to do. I miss Billy Graham but I listen to his videos every night before I go to bed in the bed and I listen to him every morning when I wake up and if anybody's in heaven it's Billy Graham so I just pray for everyone out there that you would just open up your hearts to Jesus because it'll be the best decision you've ever made.

Thank you for sharing. We all struggle and fail. If there is particular sin that is overcoming you, then repent and turn completely over to God. Flee from even the hint of it. Remember Jesus was tempted in all ways such as us and He alone can provide the power to break free and resist and to walk with Him. Study the Bible every day and fill your mind with scripture. Meditate on that scripture throughout the day and pray. There is power in Scripture. God loves you and wants a close personal relationship with you. Don't beat yourself up, just turn to God and let Him help.

This story hits hard because this is me. And every now and I try to get right with god but I never follow through. I’ve been trying for years but unsuccessful
Thank you for sharing. We all struggle and fail. If there is particular sin that is overcoming you, then repent and turn completely over to God. Flee from even the hint of it. Remember Jesus was tempted in all ways such as us and He alone can provide the power to break free and resist and to walk with Him. Study the Bible every day and fill your mind with scripture. Meditate on that scripture throughout the day and pray. There is power in Scripture. God loves you and wants a close personal relationship with you. Don't beat yourself up, just turn to God and let Him help.

Jesus stands with open arms waiting for a sinner to come to him. If you are lost without God give Jesus Christ a chance He can and will turn your life around if you let Him.
