      @@leveluphobbies9461 Your video has inspired me to work with oils. How much time do you give the oils to "dry" before sponging the paint off? Thanks!

      @@sbboshardt I start wiping bit off pretty quickly after applying it. The longer you leave it on to dry, the tougher it is to just wipe clean and the more it can stain the under color. If it does dry, you can use a q-tip or sponge with a little mineral spirits and it will reactivate and help removing the oil paint. Thanks for the feedback and good luck with your project!

    I gave up painting my copy of this terrain, but you've given me inspiration to pull them out again and finish off with some of your techniques. Thank you

      It is great to hear that you could get some kind of inspiration from my video. That is the greatest thing I could imagine from someone watching my work! Thank you for watching and have fun painting!

    This looks awesome! I will definitely take some inspiration from it for my kill team octarius terrain!

      Good to see someone can get some inspiration from it! What’s great about this way is you don’t need to worry about many details. Just pick some you want to stand out and the others just become part of the junk that’s piled up. Thanks for the watch and feedback!

      @@leveluphobbies9461 you are very right about that. For me, terrain is there to support the game and not outshine the models themselves. so a more minimalistic way to paint the terrain is always prefered :) you are welcome! and you got my sub, all the best to you!

    which vallejo brown primer spray did you use? can i have the name of it, thanks.

      Hello! It is Beasty Brown. I know that Vallejo color matches their sprays and droppers of paint so you should be able to get it as a regular paint too if you didn’t want a rattle can.

      Would a gw rhinox brown spray be similar?

    btw do you use water to wipe out the excess oil wash?

    • @jasonwarren8529
      @jasonwarren8529 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope just a dry makeup sponge. It cleans off pretty easy but if you want to remove more of the oil wash, you can use a tiny bit of odorless mineral spirits (water won’t remove oil paint) and lightly dab the paint with the sponge and it will remove more paint than a dry sponge.
