Midi routing within Maschine (without the need for a 3rd party plugin) is something that would be great as well. I can't believe this has still not been implemented.
Having to change the polyphony from 8 to 1… I have to do that 100 times. I would have liked to see that as an option setting. I.e customize default setting to 1
Good video. I really like this update to an already brilliant system. Calling it 3.0 might have set unrealistic expectations though… I see it as the first step for the new generation of Maschine software, which 1) firmly roots in what made Maschine so brilliant in the first place, 2) expands on that. Excited for the future, happy for today!
I think the focus should be on the hardware integration. Being it Maschine MK2 or 3, and Maschine+. Of course some things work way better on a computer with more power, like stem separation. After that a project transfer to standalone (and vice versa) should be flawless and right from within the desktop software. Including auto-bounce (look at Ableton) and KEEP original tracks muted, but available! Of course you can create complete tracks on Maschine, just like on MPC or other gear / groove boxes. But I think they should focus on beat making and ‘sketching’ or quick ideas generation, and live performance!
Nice review! This Native and iZotope marriage seems to be one of the worst in music production history, from customer perspective at least. They were great separately, and though sometimes they still come up with a good product, inbetween theres a lot of shallow ones… and this update (we should not call it 3.0, maybe 2.9) wasn’t even for free. I guess rather greed incurred major update number.
honestly if it wasn't for the Komplete Kontrol mk3 being so far removed from machine I would have more hope cause its not a terrible update. they do a good job of keeping the old workflows around which is nice and ya they should have added more but really all id love is to be able to see the wav file in the linear view like akai is doing now. would be great for live instruments.
I need best solution for me Maschine Studip Kontrol 49 or 61. Some like MPC. I hope they do this. For me after separation vocal sounds terrible.Artifacts and everything with pieces of bathroom reverb.Maybe good way is jump to RX type plugin and try to clean up stems. If it possible but i dont think so.
Big respect how you do the Maschine stuff ! You do it very well. I would like to use it more (I regularly use logic). I have big problems with the hole structure of Maschine…many things for me not logic in Maschine. And it’s sad that they don’t do stems better and also then get it automatically in group that they in sync and you can use it like in Traktor Thanks to your video
I don't believe they have been working on this software for so long now. I believe they started working on developing this version 3.0 as soon as they realized Akai dropped their MPC 3 update, somehow Native Instruments staff felt like they are being left behind the competition and needed to keep up so they shoved this update as fast as they can right up our @ss
It seems a little rushed, I would love to see better stem workflow, that’s for sure. On the bright side, I guess it is a new opening so we can expect more features coming soon I hope 🤞
They've been left begind for almost ten years, we have let them know in the forums consistently. This update needs to be the start of regular incremental upgrades else they are in trouble
My god. The work flow / learning curve still looks steap as hell. I was about to get the maschine out of the closet but this seams clumsy as fuck with the loop/stems
Well, they have been providing some excellent updates for years from to 2.00 to 2.18, but I guess most users just expected a little more for version 3 - hope new features will flow soon!
their hardware fails all the time too. Brand new mk3 lasted 1 year. Just stopped working lol. Then they have the audacity to charge me 89$ to replace it. In the US they only have 1 year warranty for NI products. It's a scam

very nice to see someone who knows the instrument use it. great video
Thanks, appretiate it:) I love my Maschine!!!
The most in-depth review with practical relevance I saw until now. Thanks!
Thanks 🙏 waiting for 3.1 now;) hope NI will speed up ⬆️

Agreed
Save default preset for sampler with your settings
@@eyourich problem solved lol. Thanks

Exactly, I hope NI will accelerate the works on new / requested features for so long:) Fingers crossed

Should I get the Akai Live 2 or Masachine Mk3?

You've been using Maschine software version 3 since 2012? Wow! Are you a time traveller?
Thank you - nice overview!
Again the best Maschine 3 YT Video
Thanks 🙏 man ☺️

It's by far the laziest update of all DAW's updates
in a past decade or more
almost comically lazy
Cheers 🥂
Yes they really should be embarrassed as a company

NI should do themselves a favour and not charge for the Maschine 3 update.

Ni should just stick to vst………their hardware is buggy….all of them….compared to what’s already out there
