It’s about updating the technology, that’s all. Just like iPhones, after so many years, they stop getting the latest updates due to hardware limitations.
One one thing iv been waiting for since maschine 1 is smooth automation. Havin the ability to make a smooth line increasing volume through automation should of been implemented a long time ago. Recording automation though turning dial movements isnt the precision we need. I still love maschine but this is a basic feature in most daws
@@keithwalter506 I didn’t have to use Logic. It was just the closest thing to fl studio that I could use on Mac. The workflow for mixing is just better in Logic than Maschine in my opinion.
just got out my Mikro Mk2 after it sat for a number of years... I'd like to hopefully finally learn to use it this winter. I just saw there's a new software version, I'm on 2.17.0 , and the unit is about 10-11 years old but barely used, haven't even peeled the screen yet...lol I guess I don't get to upgrade the software, but that's fine as I have yet to break the surface of learning to use what I have, and what I am hoping to use it for is pretty simple stuff that I think will be fine without the new version... maybe someday I'll get the bigger Mk3 if I actually use this a lot.

It's nice that everyone shows the new functions, but unfortunately no one shows the really important things. Maybe you can submit it later. Can you finally move and copy automations? How does it look when recording mute and solo commands. Just muted machine or do you get an automation that you can work with? What about the lock function? Can you record this live performance now? What about the patterns and clips? Are the clips still there or are they finally gone again?
Drop that stem separation comparison video bro. If it’s not better than Serato I’m not going to upgrade. But from what I hear so far, it does sound pretty awesome. A side by side comparison would be dope.

Yea I agree with the locking the sample to the tempo. That’s why I prefer Serato Sample. If you get a chop, you can turn it into an audio track and it’ll sync but that’s extra steps.

I noticed you didn't show anything with sampling. Have they finally given us the ability to drop a one shot and have it time stretch so that it can be played across the keys? That has always been one thing Maschine can't do that all other samplers can and I've never understood why NI hasn't added that. The closest we have is using gate in the audio menu. But you have to know the note of the sample and you have to play the cadence, bounce it in place then use the keyboard editor while it's in gate. They can do stem separation but not one of the core functions of a sampler. Let us know and shoot a vid of it if it does exist. I have a MK1 and don't see an immediate need to upgrade from 2.0 especially if they still haven't added the feature I just described

@@DDS825 Thanks for the reply, Yes, I updated in Native Access. It shows up as the Green Sampler Menu but when I use the Maschine MK3 to load a Sound from my Kontact Library i can only use it on the Maschine MK3 not the inKomplete Kontrol MK3
@ by chance did you go to your midi settings and check for the Kontrol MK3 to be turned recognized. *I’m not near my computer at the moment to give you the exact title. But, is the Kontrol MK3 box checked?
Do they have option to hear notes if making arpeggio or chord? Or only drums? Can you limit piano roll to example c major like in ableton? So you don´t see other keys. Or can you see chords from keys track on violin track so you can place notes like same. Sorry can´t explain but all those are standards in other daws
Yes, you can preview the notes on the piano roll. As far as I know, at this moment you can't lock the piano roll in a scale to click in your notes. That's a suggestion I made in the video. Hopefully, It will come up in the future. I believe those are called "ghost notes". I haven't seen them added yet. But, hopefully at some point they'll be added.
DDS thanks bro for your tutorial much appreciated. Quick question if you don't mind you helped me out a few years ago with a download problem. I purchased machine 3 and for some reason it updated in native access as far as putting in the serial number but once I opened up machine it doesn't appear. It gives me machine 2 with a different logo. Has anyone else had this problem please help thanks. Oh and by the way I'm using Mac OS Monterey version 12.7.6 could this be the reason.
When you first open Native Access does Maschine 3 show up as a download option on the home page where your latest products are? If you downloaded it go to your applications, then your native instruments folder, and Maschine 3 will be there.

I put in the serial number and it says to find in library what library I searched everywhere. Is it possible you can make a tutorial on how to locate machine 3 upgrade in library. It feels like Maschine is NI's stepchild. You really feel that AKAI concentrates in their groovebox and leaves Maschine far behind. What a shame. I would love to use Maschine + for live looping and I was hoping for Kontakt 7's factory library as well as some form of Guitar Rig 7 with Tuner and Autune to come to Maschine incl. Time Stretching and Audio Warping for the Sampler and more DJ effects (Traktor's 12, The Finger). It is so half hearted that it cannot find a space between AKAI as a groovebox and Ableton for live performance and a DAW. 😢
It’s seems like it is a battle between Maschine 3 and MPC 3. Interesting that they are out at the same time. MPC 3 is still in the beta form, but everyone can use it. So was the Beta for Maschine just for influencers?
No it wasn’t just for influencers. I believe anyone could have applied to be a beta tester. I was involved with the Maschine Beta testing before I was considered an “influencer”.

Maschine still has that long ass complicated plug in scan when you open it-- no update. No stereo to mono-- no update. The swing and time correction is still something from a Casio $99 keyboard from Target-- no update. And why had a scissor icon to a puano roll that doesn't have scale lock? Who's gonna find that useful? Nobody. This company are either monkies with computers,or just don't give a fuck about their products or customers.

missing daw-intagration sucks since 9 years...internal daw sucks to...havn`t find a way to use that maschine in any song i have made (in cubase)...just sitting on the table and look nice is not enought...since 2023 my two keyboards (komplete kontrol s61 and s25 mk1) have no support from native instruments, so they don`t work with komplete kontrol any more...spent hundrets of euros for nothing...native instruments sucks...never again!
I get how frustrating that must be, especially when you’ve invested a lot in the gear, and now it’s not delivering. If the DAW integration and support are lacking, it really limits the potential of those tools. It’s tough when a company doesn’t keep up with their customers' needs, especially when you’re trying to make music and stay productive. Definitely a rough situation to deal with.
Maschine is TRASH!!! 🚮🚮🚮 i used it for less 12 months 7 years ago and never touched it again!!! Worst DAW ever. I rather use Akai Renaissance if i want a beat mashine🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾
Update is a joke, NI are dead. 10 years for this? It's 2024 and they still haven't implemented mp3 export lol Just buy an MPC or Push and call it a day.
I feel you-waiting 10 years for something like MP3 export is wild, especially when other gear is already doing it. If NI’s not cutting it for you anymore, it might just be time to switch to an MPC or Push and keep it moving. Sometimes it’s just about finding what works for you, you know?

You see, Akai wouldn't have alienated their older models that correspond to the software. That's N.I.'s first biggest mistake.

I can see that. I do most of my automation when I mix in Logic.

This is a welcome update. I'm always excited when Maschine adds something new. I've been using it since 2011 and I still have my original MK1.

You have more function in maschine 2 with s49 mk1 than you do with s49 mk3 in maschine 2 or 3

I have Traktor 4 and Stems work the same way. Although Stem Separation is slow, its still progress

I use kontakt for that on the time machine setting. If you don't have kontakt the grain stretch effect at about 40% does a pretty good job too.

Sorry but the only thing I think is chargeable is the stem seperation. Everything else should be free IMO

Stem Separation. If you want to bounce in place you can. MP3 Importing. Those would be the main ones if you don’t have a Kontrol MK3.
Did all your older projects still pull up the same any lost files or anything like that. Does all your vst work.?
Old projects open up fine. No issues with any of my vsts.

i can't figure out how to switch maschine 3 into full screen mode. on maschine 2 i could use ctrl+f but now i can't lol
I’ve put it in full screen by using the button near minimize on Mac. But, have you looked at the view menu and see if there’s a full screen option?

I have MPC Live II, MPC Key61 and a push 3. If you use Abelton why not get a Push 3… problem solved

I might be in the minority, but I like the arranger. It took a while to learn it. But once I did, it’s been great.

Grooveboxes are generally not linear, they're pattern based.

Maschine is TRASH!!! 🚮🚮🚮 i used it for less 12 months 7 years ago and never touched it again!!! Worst DAW ever. I rather use Akai Renaissance if i want a beat mashine🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾
Update is a joke, NI are dead. 10 years for this? It's 2024 and they still haven't implemented mp3 export lol Just buy an MPC or Push and call it a day.
I feel you-waiting 10 years for something like MP3 export is wild, especially when other gear is already doing it. If NI’s not cutting it for you anymore, it might just be time to switch to an MPC or Push and keep it moving. Sometimes it’s just about finding what works for you, you know?

@ interesting. I’m not sure why it’s not showing up. I’d say check your email to see if they sent you any Information like a serial number to add to Native Access. If not, I’d say reach out to support.
