this game was beatemup perfection, controls so fucking tight, not too much and not too few combos, simple but fun and the special attacks just hit that swee tspot of epicness, I could watch the ultimate attack sequences over and over and never get tired of them, transofrming midfight and getting a whole new set of combos and attacks and actually feeling your powered up.. this game was the impersonation of what Dragonball should feel like

I actually had lost hope that we wouldnt get a 4th Tenkaichi and I remember fighting Nappa in the Kakarot game and I thought to myself "Man look at how cool the graphics are, this game is fun but its just so bland even for a DBZ fanatic.....now this would be the SHIT if they would have continued and done another tenkaichi game" and now here we are, fuck man I am so pumped up for this.
I haven't seen people react this crazily to something since Cap wielded Mjolnir back in Endgame or the Shadow reveal in the Sonic 2 movie which goes to show just how much people loved the Budokai games.
I’ve been so disappointed with every DBZ release since Tenkaichi 3. It was criminal that they never dropped 4. Me and my friend were literally talking last night about how gutted we were that we may never be able to play against each other. Then this drops 🥳🥳🥳🥳 I’m buzzing. They did have dbz raging blast 1 and 2 which were I think basically copies of tenkaichi but slightly different.
Get fucked 😂 raging blast 1 and 2 were nothing like Tenkaichi. They were supposed to be yes. But they were clunky as fuck, restrictive in what you could do. The only good thing about taking blast was the sonic sway mechanic and the synergy special attacks when you had the right team characters together. Tenkaichi wasn’t just about the special moves. It was more about the combos, the fluidity of the fight and yes the ease of using special moves, how everything seamlessly transitioned from one attack to the next, how you could pretty much pull off any move you could think of. How you could change the pace of the battle. How each character bought it’s own strengths and weaknesses to the battle. How one character dying and another character coming out completely changed how the battle was fought. None of this was ever achieved with any other DB game. Raging blast had combos that could be strung together with the right timing but it was repetitive. Xenoverse had literally the same combo again and again and again, same with raging blast tbh. You have to be a street fighters god to play fightersZ, fightersZ isn’t too bad becuase it’s a completely different kind of game but the fact that Toei and Spike created the absolute pinnacle of fighting games up to Tenkaichi 3 and then as consoles got better than a PS2 they completely dropped the absolute best game to ever exist in the fighting world in terms of dynamics, roster, extras, fluidity, mechanics, simplicity, complexity, skill gap and much more. It was an absolute crime. This is the game we deserve and this is the game that will topple ALL fighting games for generations to come apart from VR. If they do it right.

I’m 33 years old and when I was 14 years old I was so happy when we went to my uncles house cause my nephews had a PS2 and we would play dragonball like crazy and begged my parents for sleepovers cause then we could play together. Now I finally have my own PS5 and I remembered the dragon ball days and immediately searched for a dragonball game. Downloaded like 4 games and they weren’t the same and I got confused like how is it possible that the game isn’t there anymore or why they didn’t make the game even better or something. Something that brought so many memories and good times. ESPECIALLY for me when DB and gaming was an escape for me personally due to my rough childhood, seeing something so beloved to me returning finally after what 16 or whatever years? It’ll get someone tearing up. It’s a powerful thing that things like this can impact on a person. I’ve been a DBZ fan my entire life and I haven’t had the ability to even play BT3 for a long long time. Knowing that a 4th installment is finally out on its way makes me extremely happy like I’m sure it does the entire DB community. It’s alright if your not emotional, but it also makes me question did you ever grow up with any of these games? I think it’s perfectly normal to have some sort of reaction to this. No cap I literally went into software engineering ( 2 years left for me to graduate) purely so that I could make a BT3 remastered for ps5/6 and possibly a BT4 with the new characters and maps. I love how they kept the same animation from TENKAICHI but obviously more updated. Bro … if they put heart and soul into this … it’s over we all gone be playing this for years to come. AND future dlc? Hopefully good netcode? Tournaments? This may be the greatest DBZ game of all time if they just copy what BT3 did and updated it even more lmao

Today was a great day for DBZ fans. I’ve spent so much time in the budokai games as a kid and teenager and BT3 nailed DBZ in a way that no other game after has come close to. This is phenomenal
