Dude my alternator broke on the highway and my car shut down. My dad drove up and swapped out the battery (what we thought was the problem) and I was able to just barely make it to an AutoZone where they tested the alternator and confirmed it was dead. I asked if they could fix it for me, they said "no, but we can sell you a new alternator." So I sat in that parking lot for two hours watching your video and swapping the thing out. Now I got a new alternator and I saved a ton of cash instead of getting it done at the dealer. You are an absolute saint
Awesome video dude! You are a massive help. Had to change the alternator in a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Never did it before but your video made it easy... except for some bleeding knuckles. Lol. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for the video. I knew on other car how to change alternator but not on Jeep. Anyway after being watching the video just took me around 8 Minutes the whole job. Thank you again over and over. Gracias!!!
Thank you very much for the video, just completed changing my alternator and I’m running at 14.4 volts compared to 11.7. Did you also change the water pump on that Jeep? I noticed it had a newer looking pulley. Thank you sir
What kind of alternator do you suggest? Is it worth paying for more expensive ones or is there a budget one that does the job fine.. Thanks again. Great video I think I can do this myself and save me not paying midas on this long weekend. 🥂
Hey Billy, we do prefer remy alternators, but where we get our parts, there is only a year warranty. Napa does offer a good brand that is lifetime warranty. I would go with them before autozone, advance, or oreilly..
@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos how much would you say I need to spend on a good one you mention.. I just got quoted 525 Canadian installed but I think I can do this myself after your video.. I just want to get the right alternator to do the job.. I live in Calgary and I'm near a Napa but if you could verify what's the ideal one for my 2008 jgc Laredo 3.7
