My common app essay revolved around a book/screenplay I started writing for my younger brother when I was eleven to encourage to encourage him to read. The essay showcased how over 6 years of writing the book and reading it with my brother, I was able to foster a deep connection with him, help him develop new interests, as well as grow myself. I tried to showcase a variety of my traits/values in the essay including dedication, empathy, and innovation/creativity. I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions!
