    All of them are GREAT tools. The wire pliers have really become dear to my heart. Got them on me 14 to 16 hours a day.

    Watched the video for the wrenches, they look great and I may have to pick them up. But that little wire tool you have is my go-to for most all stripping and crimping applications. Very compact, very precise. My brother showed me his very similar snap-on before my purchase and was sold. I have used both and while the snap-on is of higher quality, I bought the Carlyle on sale for less than half the price. Nothing but happy with them

    I have a few Carlyle wrenches. Very affordable as well. No complaints here. That is a really nice set. The stuff I work on Ditch Witch is about 50/50 Sae and Metric. I also have John Deere hand tools from when I worked for Deere. They are great quality as well. I have Three sae sets and three metric. Very good tools. My main stuff is Snap on. My service truck has all wright stuff. No complaints on them either. Just love tools and you can never have to many. Great video.

      Thats interesting Ditch Witch uses a mix of fasteners. Most outdoor power equipment seems to use SAE sized fasteners as well.

      Mark Fox our engines are 95% metric. Cummins, Deutz, lister petter, honda, Deere, kubota, yanmar. But most all of frame components and all other fasteners are sae. Its goofy.

    From what I've seen in reviews, Carlyle and Wright are a great substitute for Snap-On wrenches. I own all three brands, I notice very little difference in all three brands. I am not a fan of paying $560 for a set of wrenches not that snappy is bad it's just way over priced for their wrenches and for what it is.

    Ha ha, Carlyle starting to catch on! I’ve been using them since they came out, and I have Snap-On, Cornwell, Matco, SK, Wright, etc.... tools also. They are pro grade, right up there. My primary ratcheting wrenches are Carlyle. I’ve broken loose rusted bolts with the Carlyle open ends. Wright still my favorite for non-ratcheting. But yeah, you gotta love the length of those long pattern Carlyles.

    Thanks for the video. It would be helpful if you would draw some distinction between the two 72-tooth flex head ratchets, with the difference being locking vs. non-locking. Are you finding it beneficial to own both of them? What situations would you use one of them over the other? After a couple of years since the video, has one of them emerged as a go-to flex head ratchet over the other? I recently purchased some Carlyle ratchets, and I've been considering purchasing more of them. There's enough to choose from in the Carlyle catalog that I can't just go out and purchase the entire selection available. Any information would be appreciated.

    • @MarkFox
      @MarkFox  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I think it's benifical to own both locking and non-locking fllexheads, there are times when each outshine the other.

    I like the design of the open end on those Carlyle wrenches. I know Cornwell tools and now Milwaukee have a set as well. When I can get around to buying me a set to replace my older Craftsman combo wrenches the Carlyle will be my first choice. Cornwell doesn’t have a rep in my area and I’d have to order the Milwaukee set as well. The NAPA store is local. I have the Carlyle 1/2” Drive swivel head ratchet for suspension stuff. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but NAPA has it on sale pert near half price through online purchase only so I took advantage of it. I enjoyed your Carlyle tool review, no doubt my Carlyle collection will be expanding as well. Keep up the great work.

    These and Milwaukee have been the best TH-cam unboxing. I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LOVE THE CANVAS WRAP!!! Milwaukee has an almost identical open end as well as Icon but they're a ways off pro grade yet. So do you get milwaukee or this as an c class tech for your first set?

      @@MarkFox TTI is a Hong Kong founded company. Pretty seperate to China. Being that I ported there in the Navy before china tried to seize it again.
      Lifetime warranty on their hand tools AND, you need to educate yourself, because TTI is putting Milwaukee factories in Mississippi (in addeition to what is already down there) and Wisconsin before 2022.
      Also, if this is your philosophy on tools, then I'll take anything Ryobi, Rigid, Hoover, Hart, Oreck or empire products you own.
