This album feels like the history of Dreamcatcher, a "best of" album with all new songs, while heavily paying tribute to Minx.
Intro: From Us blends the piano intro from "Dreamcatcher - Mayday" with a sick guitar solo, played with the notes from "Minx - Shut Up". I think the intention is to clue you in that the album starts from when Minx was failing and needed to be rescued.
I love BONVOYAGE. Lyrically it's the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives:
1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses)
2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus)
3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤
We can take lessons from Dreamcatcher's story and apply it to our own climate apocalypse: Nature is dying, humanity is at a crossroad. If we make the right changes and choices now, and make sure we stick to them and never give up, then in the future humanity can become one with nature and look back at ourselves with pride and love.
Bonus Minx connection: You can also see the Minx-Dreamcatcher connection in their stage outfits. They are either traditional Dreamcatcher style and colorful, or Minx style and darker. The dance also does a good job in mixing Dreamcatcher dance moves and Minx like moves.
DEMIAN is current day Dreamcatcher reflecting on the Nightmare and Dystopia era, when the Minx image was being suppressed, and how these eras were their Demian. Notice how the first verse is much longer than the second verse, since the Nightmare era has more songs than the Dystopia series.
Demian is a popular book in South Korea about how we wear different masks in different situations, you behave differently around your parents than you do with your friends. It's no secret that on-stage and off-stage Dreamcatcher were very different images.
Bonus Minx connection: The first few seconds of this song is VERY similar to a slowed down, pitched down version of the first few seconds of "Minx - Why did you come to my home?"
PROPOSE is a obsessive love song, quite similar to BEcause, almost as if the Minx image took the driver seat for a moment. It feels like the moment when Dreamcatcher and Minx proposed to merge their images together.

To. You is basically Dreamcatcher's love song to Minx and how they are now embracing and love that side of themselves. "Tried to forget you, lock you in the past, i know it's late, but now i want you"
Bonus Minx connection: The synth lines and the guitar solo are mimicking vocal elements from "Minx - Like you". Lyrically these songs mirror each other, since the Minx song is about being hurt, forgetting and moving on, while the Dreamcatcher song is about healing, remembering and holding on.
I wonder if there is a "Minx - Superstar Superman" reference in the instrumental for BONVOYAGE? I'm not able to hear it, but it would complete the pattern.

Hello, I really enjoyed reading your analysis. I feel like the choreography also mirrors/illustrates this journey as you would notice that they are constantly moving in the background while one or two members are singing. The only time that some members were not moving in the background was when minx members danced during Dami's rap verse then Handong and Gahyeon joined them towards the end of her verse. That illustrates that they used to be minx and then at the end of the minx era they had 2 new group members. It's almost as if they are showing how they moved through different era or struggles throughout these 6+ years.
oh my god i knew that the piano intro in Intro: From Us sounded almost exactly like an early dreamcatcher song but i couldn't figure out which one it was and i hadn't seen anyone say anything about it so i thought maybe i was just hearing things; turns out i was right and the piano part was from mayday!! thank you for pointing this out. the producers are seriously such musical geniuses for all of this 😭😭😭😭😭
Honestly, Propose might be Dreamcatcher's best song ever. Their discography is truly amazing; I can't understand how they surpass themselves once again!
Kudos to their company who utilizes their talent perfectly, where a vocalist is treated like proper vocalist and a rapper is treated like a proper rapper. I won't be surprised if they manage to make even better songs than their current ones, but heck I sure will do if they managed to do it.

Propose Siyeon’s high note with that I can’t let gooooo it’s omgahdhjs- rapper sua on demain voice is amazing like mother- Dami’s versatility hello ? Yes she’s sing amazing but she’s also a complete rapper. She’s using new flow every time that’s crazy. Sua is my Queen and i love every time she raps but in demian the one who owns the credits for her rap is gahyeon in my opinion and only! She ate that...and i love how in this album everyone shows how good they are and sua comes back as a great vocalist and great rapper i am so happy

I can't even count how many times I've listened to this album since it dropped, but I still got chills while watching this video. This mini feels so familiar but so new. It's definitely in my favorites by Deukae! This was Dami and Sua's era for real. They truly showed out on this album. We got to hear more of the members on tracks showcasing their skill. This album is BEAUTIFUL.

Demian is hands down the best 'B' side they have ever made imo. Like, it's sublime, perfection. We get the entire rap line, Jiu BELTING?! Dami dominating the best pre chorus of their entire discography. And it's practically a hard rock song the entire way through?! I'm honestly in love. I didn't think Odd Eye would ever be beaten as my favourite DC song but Demian may well dethrone it.
For me Sua and Siyeon above all slayed this album omg

The more I listen to the album, the more Demian becomes one of my all time top DC songs, but the last Propose chorus is also top tier.
Also as someone who is OT7 but also SuA being kinda my favourite idol overall, this comeback is extra great for me.
Every members shined almost equally and we got a bit new / rare 'uses' of some of the members, with Handong and Gahyeon slaying it especially on Propose, SuA getting to belt, rap and doing the soft sensual vocals, Dami singing, even belting a bit and shouting and whispering her rap (I honestly think she is quite the ace at this point)...JiU's way of singing 'kiss' will be in a lot of Somnia's memories, too.
I even won't skip the ballad every time this time.^^'

Dami really stood out to me for this album. Shes always been great but it goes to show that even though she didnt rap as much this time she still stood out. Yoohyeon also impressed me as she always does. Ever since Reason it seems shes really pushed her vocal range and i feel like shes improved something that was already incredible. Shes always been a hard worker be it language learning/dance/singing. Whatever it is she does she gives it her all. These two really shine this era and im here for it ❤

The member lines in this album kinda balance. Everyone have the chance to shine with their vocal. The musicality in the album is striking the most, it feels like a combination of both Nightmare Era & Dystopia Era signature sound. This is it! This is the 'Dreamcatcher Genre' at it's peak. this was a rollercoaster ghdfj this EP is very solid. this was literally made for rock fans but with enough genre bending that everyone else can enjoy it. you guys should react to dreamcatcher's bonvoyage suit dance, propose choreo (rip esosa pt 2) and to you live stage. there are a lot of bonvoyage videos, now we have the dance practice, dance video mv ver, etc. sua said she is making the choreo for demian and that there will be a special clip, so I'm super excited. i've wanted screams in dreamcatcher for so long bc there were so many great opportunities and dami finally took it!!! apparently the part was different in the original version but dami changed it up while they were recording. we trust dami to make songs even better!

I'm that way too, Demian is my #1 because IT'S SO MASSIVE, and I mean it is the boldest song they have. Dami's part was such a non-kpop thing to do, reminds me of Ateez Guerrilla album, where they decided to go the EPIC way...

Propose is another masterpiece, but it has a less of an "experimental" approach to it. So that's why it is s#2 from this album

That's the way I feel for Dami, Siyeon and Sua... They are aces. They're three of the most talented people in Kpop history. And their personaalities only heightens everything... They're precious.
