Been riding Road Glides since 2008. Glad to see so many riders waking up and recognizing the sweetness in this bike that was once the red-headed step child in the HD lineup back when I bought my first one. 👍
I see a lot of M8's in my work and for the most part they are pretty reliable. The ones who seem to have the most issues are the ones that have been modded with something other than slip ons and air breather. Congratulations on hitting 10k, the roadglides are great bikes.
Great video! I just turned 30,000 on my 2019 SG on our trip to Sturgis. I have a stage 2 on it with no issues thus far other than a Wheel bearing going out but that is a normal wear component. As long as you keep them maintained and serviced, they will go for a long time. Air cooled engines blow my mind with how reliable they can be especially when you consider 30,000+ miles mostly at 3000 - 4500 rpm's.
Around 27,000 miles. We do tend to overload it with weight on our trips with the tour pack full and the rickrak roller bag strapped on top of it. I put some of the blame on that.
Nice video. I have a ‘21 Road Glide Limited that I bought new in mid-April 2021. Am almost to 20,000 miles on it (~19,200 currently). I’ve had it serviced every 2500 miles (including one mid-trip) and the only issue so far is that I’ve had the front wheel bearings replaced, but that was during a regular service… it didn’t interrupt any ride. It’s an awesome bike and am hoping to hit the 49 states I can ride it to (clicked off 14 states so far on this bike, between CA and VA). My wife loves it too, and has done about 5000 miles on it ridin’ shotgun. 👍🏻
I just hit 10k on my 21 road glide limited. I did the dipstick vent from fueling, and a K&N replacement air filter. Bike runs very well. Added highway pegs and seat cover for comfort.
The WHIM is to connect your Bluetooth headset. It has nothing to do with Android Auto vs Apple CarPlay. You just need to buy the jumper to use either Android or Apple with the Boom Audio without the WHIM.
You don't need a Whim to connect a Bluetooth headset to the bike or your Sena for phone calls. Apple car play only works with a Whim. Android auto works without it but has no 'hey google' feature without a whim amongst a few other on the fly features, you have to stop to use a lot of features without a whim. You can buy hacks for $25 bucks on the internet but being that my bike had the latest software from the factory, it did not work. Had to get a Whim. Older bikes should be good without it as long as you don't upgrade the software.
Great bike ! Very cool ! Just found your channel, I'm happy to support you and other fellow motovloggers. Best of luck with your efforts, I look forward to seeing more from you. Take care and ride safe out there 💯💯👍👍
Issues with motorcycles are like issues with cars, normally the only people you hear from are the ones with problematic vehicles. Like you, I had a spyder previously and for 30,000 miles all I got were oil changes and a back tire even though I was hearing about them catching on fire and other horror stories. So clearly you got a good bike and with maintenance, it should stay like that. Have you changed the tires or are they still good? Godspeed
Apple/android carplay jumper is all you need for maps and music at $20.. in my opinion if you really need to take a call or reply to a text/get directions you should just pull over and take a stretch On servicing i dont mind doing some myself either but as you stated its nice to have a trained eye overlook the bike while doing so just to find or prevent any other wear or issues occuring that the normal rider wouldn’t notice Nice bike ride safe 🤟
Garbage!! That is exactly the reason Harley was sued this year and it was class action. It will not void the warranty at all they sell those damn things at their dealership.@@marcasselin8292
For sure. I found the cheapest screaming eagle air filter for $187 and the tuner for about $440 and download the app yourself on a PC and auto run the program. But I am debating spending that 600 bucks.
For sure I know that. I had a good one the last 2 times I purchased. Also depends on which dealership you go to I guess. Some are more greedy than others.

Thanks for watching Keith. This is my first glide and I'm glad I got one.
People that think Harley's are unreliable have never owned a Harley, or they bought one that was 20+ years old and had 5+ owners.
True true.

Good to know these are reliable. Thanks for watching Mark.

That is good to hear. What mileage did the wheel bearings go out?

That is awesome!!!
Glad you’re enjoying your Harley. I agree with checking off bikes on a bucket list.
Thanks John.
Nice video. I just passed 8k on my 2021 RGS that I picked up in Jan. I've done a couple of 2k+ mile trips on mine and love it.
Nice!! Thanks for watching.

Nice, where did you get the dipstick vent from also what seat cover did you get?
@@RideAboutNow fueling dipstick kit. And a breezy rider seat cover.
Nice video. I have a 2018 and I’m just hitting 13k I’m just loving it . I’m subscribed
Appreciate it Kelly.

@@RideAboutNow I was not aware the Harley Boom Box had built in Bluetooth capability.

Thank you for the support. Taking a quick break for now but will be back on the saddle until it gets really cold in GA.
@@RideAboutNow Ride safe out there my great friend and best of luck upon your return 💯👍

Right you are. I actually changed the rear tire at 10k. The front tire was half way through.

Thank you for watchin.
Have you added a tuner or dyno tuned? Good to see a motovlogger in the A
Ayye thanks for watching. I have not added a tuner yet. Stage 1 is my next big upgrade.
How’s your tires?? I just got to 11,000 miles on my 2020 street glide…thinking of installing new tires
Yeah I installed the rear tires around 10k but the front are still going.
First again! 😉👍 --QM
LoL -
Your running rhinehart slip ons without a tuner ?
At that time, I was yes without any issues.
I bought a 2022 street glide last year and the dealer told me if I added those slip ons without a tuner it could void the warranty !
Garbage!! That is exactly the reason Harley was sued this year and it was class action. It will not void the warranty at all they sell those damn things at their dealership.@@marcasselin8292
I agree have 2021 roadglide only S + S pipes plenty of power very reliable I think stage 1 is expensive bulshit

Not everyone has a positive experience at every HD dealer. Just sayin'.
