Slamming through the gears is the best feeling I’ve ever had!!

I bought a 96 intruder 800 bobber for 2 grand. 19k miles but it's my first real bike. I've wondered if I got a decent deal or screwed or something 8n the middle. It does have drag bars and came with semi apes and has a custom paint job but its one color, no graphics.
Currently ride a 1985 VTC750 Honda Shadow, paid $1000 for it in 2018. Put 20,000 km on it last summer, great bike, bulletproof. Original Motor and transmission, Go for a Honda, I've had three Honda's, very reliable and fun

Yamaha V-Star was my first bike. Was great practice with it, but the Honda Shadow beats it in almost every way. One thing I didn't like about the V-star after upgrading is that it has very bad low-end power, but the max speed was surprising (probably because its very light for a cruiser). If your going to get an entry-level cruiser, my suggestion is the shadow, now I ride a Honda VTX 1800 while my other 2 bikes collect dust.
I just traded a 14’ Jonboat rig w/2 HP Honda four stroke outboard straight across for a 1999 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic, our sell prices were the same, he needed a boat, I needed a bike, the trade was perfectly equitable, so basically I got a great cruiser bike for no additional out of pocket expense! It rides great too, perfect backroads Cruiser! He just chatted me that he had the boat out on the lake with his kids, and they caught a bunch of fish, had a great time We both got a great deal :)

I picked up an 05 1200 xlc sportster with 9,000 miles for $4,200. it's a great bike! It's not tiny, it has a bigger tank and lots of chrome! Came with drag pipes, a 21" front wheel, and adjustable shocks.

Great video, I got sucked into the Harley scene. Traded in my gsx-s for an 06 Heritage Softail with 24,000 miles. After watching your vids with higher mileage Harleys I wasn’t worried about it. Love it, riding a Harley is very different than a metric.
My Brothers Odometer just hit 250k miles, he's running an 06 Heritage. Proper maintenance, and time will have your bike running forever. Hope you enjoy the ride man.
@xwriter100 The trick is to stay inline or below your shoulders. Higher than that and it will impede blood flow (plus, it looks silly to be reaching up for your bars).
I love my ‘05 VTX1800 F3. Picked it up back in 2016 for under $5000. With less than 5k miles. And it had some extra goodies. Love it and it’s a bad ass bike.

Good video; for anyone interested in the Mean Streak note this annoyance: the air cleaner. It interferes with your right foot position and for me at 5-9 was not comfortable. I am a fan of Kawasaki's, I've owned 6 different Vulcans and ridden several others and LOVE how the Mean Streak looks, but recommend you test ride before you buy and intent to ride for any distance.
I have a 94 Dyna Wide Glide hopped up with 100 hp at rear wheel and it's the most comfortable motorcycle I have ever owned and at 74, I have owned quite a few. Even more comfortable than my old Goldwing. My 72 Yamaha 2 stroke R5C will always be my favorite.

In 2009 I bought a 2005 Shadow Sabre 1100 with 4,300 miles for $4,500 . 46,000 Honda reliable miles and a custom bob later I still riding that bike . I will be buying a bigger bike soon ( likely the same 1800 discussed in the video ) but that Honda wont be going anywhere . I'll never sell that bike . She's not very fast or very pretty but she always runs .

This is a touring ride that can last, with ordinary proper care and feeding, over 200,000 miles and go head to head with the Honda Goldwing at half the price - or with the Harley Ultra Classic at 1/3rd the price. It's also one of the most comfortable rides, for both rider and passenger - and can tow a trailer with ease.

I just got a Cbr300r and I love it. Excellent bike and it even rides well for a big guy like me (6”3 - 220lbs). Good list for cheap bikes!

Boulevard C50 and SV650S both run for cheap, and both are amazing bikes.

Honda VTX is a hall of fame bike. Well built, a beast, drives great on twists to freeway.

Technically, it was cruiser biased. There was not a single standard, adventure, or sports bike, even though there are tons of them around.

Good video; for anyone interested in the Mean Streak note this annoyance: the air cleaner. It interferes with your right foot position and for me at 5-9 was not comfortable. I am a fan of Kawasaki's, I've owned 6 different Vulcans and ridden several others and LOVE how the Mean Streak looks, but recommend you test ride before you buy and intent to ride for any distance.

I have a 94 Dyna Wide Glide hopped up with 100 hp at rear wheel and it's the most comfortable motorcycle I have ever owned and at 74, I have owned quite a few. Even more comfortable than my old Goldwing. My 72 Yamaha 2 stroke R5C will always be my favorite.

I have a large # of bikes and I love Bobber style bikes which I have built out of almost all Hondas which are Chaindrive Same with Kawasaki VN-800 & 900s.I do have a 2019 Indian Scout Bobber ,2016Triumph Bobber and a 2012 Triumph Thruxton...The BEST score on a bike was last month when I found a ONE OWNER,Garage Kep 2006 ZX12R with just at 2000 orig miles which George purchased new in 06 when he was 51..He then Lowered it with a Titanium Two Brothers 4 into 1 Header with a Titanium Two Bros. RSR Carbon Fiber Can shorty exhaust along with a Powercommander & Tune.. I paid just UNDER $3000 CASH!!!The ZX12R IS MORE COMFORTABLE THAN MY 14 ZX14R!! & A HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER

In 2009 I bought a 2005 Shadow Sabre 1100 with 4,300 miles for $4,500 . 46,000 Honda reliable miles and a custom bob later I still riding that bike . I will be buying a bigger bike soon ( likely the same 1800 discussed in the video ) but that Honda wont be going anywhere . I'll never sell that bike . She's not very fast or very pretty but she always runs .

1999 to 2004 Yamaha Royal Star Venture. These can be had for under $5K with under 40,000 miles on the odometer All. Day. Long. This is a touring ride that can last, with ordinary proper care and feeding, over 200,000 miles and go head to head with the Honda Goldwing at half the price - or with the Harley Ultra Classic at 1/3rd the price. It's also one of the most comfortable rides, for both rider and passenger - and can tow a trailer with ease.
