I installed a set of these with the matching Rockford head unit, they sound much better than the stock setup but I'm unimpressed by the overall sound. They get loud but don't sound well rounded. I'm installing the 6x9s in the bag lids with the Rockford 1500x5 amp hoping to get it sounding good. If not I'll be selling these and getting some good 6.5 components that'll handle the power of that amp.

Aren’t those 6.5? I thought stock was 5.25?

Not being a hater....but since I own a 2011 ultra...factory speakers are only 5.25 inches....unless you do a Metra fairing upgrade or use adapter rings 6.5 inch speaker are definitely a no go. Sorry just wanna make sure that the information you are putting out is correct. Those Rockford speakers are the direct replacement for those years of bike.

I have this unit in my 2009 ultra! I plugged a data chord in the rear usb.. it worked at first now just says no device….when I crank my bike my hand controls won’t work!!! Bluetooth does connect but again hand controls won’t work unless I’m accessory mode.. any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks…
