I know of something really cool you could build with the M2 Machines '69 Ford F-100, try attempting an old school monster truck with this casting if you like, I think that would be pretty sweet! I've got one planned using the '67 Ford F-100 from this same company that I'm going to build soon.
i have the F100 Australian M2 truck and the Mercury M100. they did a great job on them with only 1 miner flaw that caught my attention. the Australian truck has the steering wheel on the Right hand side as it should. but the instrument cluster in the dash is still on the Left side. I have had them displayed for some time now and NO ONE has noticed it. must be just me.

M2 offers fantastic value for dollar and I'm always recommending these castings to my friends. This was a great haul and a opportunity to see these cars up close. I am so glad you do this. My favorite M2 is my blue 1959 Cadillac Series 62.
Actually did a couple of wheel swaps on M2 cars myself! I have no experience with customizing, but, M2 makes it so simple! Although, my second wheel swap was to save my 1968 Shelby GT500KR from its mismatched wheel, and, I had some Mustang wheels lying around from my first swap :) This is why your videos are so great! I like Hot Wheels and Matchbox as much as the next guy, and, they've been on a roll, especially with the 2016 New Models. However, M2 and Greenlight deserves attention for how detailed and cool they are! Very hard for me to pass up a M2 these days!

Great haul. I found my first chase ever last week... the Desoto Fireflite. I understand your point about not looking authentic, but the gold trim actually looks pretty nice on that casting :)

I remembered my brief trip to the states back in 2008 , I had never seen so many cool different brands of cars, of course back then I was pursuing Hotwheels. But with my soul intention of picking up main lines I was soon drawn to the m2 section, this lead me to picking up 2 belairs a 53 and a 57. The authenticity of the cars and extra details overid Hotwheels can cars and mystery packs even black bandits. So it's great to see a 54 in this new mix , you never no I might get over there again and complete my 50s trio. As for customisation the blister sets are a must have. I love these kind of scaled cars to have,i remember my dad bought me a 1994 chevy suburban police edition years ago and it just slipped out of my hands and got all busted up,i was very disappointed
I have that 57 fairlane but what drew me to buy it right then and their was that I noticed the wheel color on mine were slightly off compared to the other duplicates on the shelf. its supposed to be copper but mine has light orange almost a goldish color
I am really glad for you to be so satisfied with these M2 products, and for you to acquire some decent looking ones... I have collected very well over 200 M2 pieces as well as 26 of the haulers. I am very sorry to say I am sick of the quality issues I have with them. I have given up on M2 high end products all together . The 4 dollar Drivers series have way less issues, but still have some problems with wheels. I will no longer pay 18 dollars for a hauler or 7 dollars for a piece I have to open and readjust doors and hoods, file pieces to make fit properly, touch up paint on wheels and bodies, The huge door gaps have finally got to me. Lesney/Matchbox had better fitting and moving parts back in the 50s and 60s. I also find many broken and chipped display cases.
I am sorry to hear about the lack of quality in the cars you have come across... I would say you have had a run of bad luck on M2, otherwise M2 is sending their quality controlled cars to Canada. Not being an endorser of any product in particular, I only review what I buy and like, so I can only speculate as to why you have had so many poorly made pieces. Do you take a close look at the cars in the store, to see if they are in good condition, before buying? I always do that, and only pick the best of the bunch where possible. If it is defective, I leave it behind for some mom to spring on it for Junior instead. As for eBay purchases, it all comes down to a seller's reputation. Most respected sellers don't sell broken cars to collectors, they return those ones to the manufacturer since they often are wholesale buyers of the cars and can do that. Try being picky about who you buy from, and how you select the cars if you are able to do so. Thanks for the comment, and I hope I can be of some help. Happy hunting!
The problem with rubber wheels is that if the car parked too long, the bottoms of the wheels will bend out of shape; thus, it is better for the car if you left it on the display that it came with.
I know you live in Canada. Did you get these M2's on line or at your local Walmart. I live in southwestern Ontario and I have not seen M2's at my local Walmart.

+Stingray78 I bought almost all of it on eBay, the best brand to look for is "Woodland Scenics". If you have a hobby shop near you you can also usually get most of the required materials there a well. Some of the base structure came from hardware stores (wood, styrofoam, etc). There are plenty of great tutorial videos on TH-cam to watch before attempting to build a diorama. I watched at least 50 to 100 videos before my creation.
M2 has really improved in the last year. Great value for the money! I could spend hours swapping wheels and body parts.

i collect the m2's also allthough sometimes its hard not to strip the lil screws in order to release from the display case
