- My van broke down again this week, this time over an hour away from the nearest dealership. Luckily, this time I wasn't alone...

It's 4am and I'm awake again because my health is declining due to cancer. My mood is somber and I question everything because I'm anxious and sad at the same time. Then I watch the latest from Maddie. You bring me great joy and just enough laughs to make me realize my fight is worth it. Today I will step on some leaves, savor the crunch, hug my wife and look for the good that can rise out of the chaos. Thx Maddie for being who you are and for renewing my spirit.
I will pray for your health restored Like mine was from cancer! a type of cancer 100% controlled if you eat right & take your meds ( major diet change all that nasty food you hated as a kid I eating now daily or few times a week) ok i believe when God made man in the garden man had pure food & water green stuff grown food & types of beans i was real sick a friend would check on me he ate no meat he told this was his plan for me pur water only for days & i broke my illness (now when i real sick I got eat greens and fruit & no pork the meds i on has no pork at all fish chicken turkey & beef cows or real animals not pig it got to much fat or stuff will make me sicker then shots do for sugar 2 control & blood thinner too the cancer i have blood thinner controls its in my blood line DNA that how it was found every test had i had nothing I was adopted in records my step father brother my mothers uncle the medical people saved his blood that sample it was DNA test to! it told everything they need to treat me! what i had where i got it from & who caused it the US government job i had it a thing only under government control it has to do with Nuke stuff!)

I think it's kinda cool that I've recently started watching Alex's channel just before you mentioned her a couple of weeks ago and now here she is saving the day by helping you with your van. She seems like a great person and I'm really glad that she was there with you and able to help you in your time of need. Her dog seems really sweet too. Autumn is a beautiful thing to enjoy the nice views out there. Sorry to hear that your van broke down again, but sometimes you may need to check your engine as well for any leaks. Lights can sometimes malfunction too. It's always good meet with a friend and help is always needed.

That's always a ton of fun. Mine has never left me anywhere, but I've had issues with the electrical. Turns out if you leave the inverter on, it runs the batteries down even without anything else being on. I still haven't figured that one out. So I just turn it off until I need it.
I'm on a dedicated route Denver to PNW now. Usually Seattle and back, once a week. Love October. Spectacular.
Oregon was my home for 18 years and I love Mt Hood and the area around the Columbia River. Glad all the lights are out! Enjoy!

I'm so glad your van wasn't an expensive fix! I'm really glad your friend was there to not only help you out but at the very least be there with you. I am sure that makes a huge difference. You seemed a lot less stressed in this video, which was good to see. Does your friend also "live the van life" or is she more of an occasional camper? At any rate, she seemed pretty handy, which is great! Well, keep knocking on wood, and keep thinking positive thoughts! Safe travels!

Lovely relaxing video...a breath of fresh air catching up with you and your beautiful dog. I have a similar van to you, my van is a peugeot boxer extra long wheel base....pretty sure your van is based on a peugeot, or citroen made in france...may be wrong but looks the same but mine is a lot longer. I am promising myself i will be using it more next year.......my van also throws up some issues now and again for no reason, usually the fault is the french electrics but thankfully it usually resolves itself. 😊I’m retired now Used to work at Ram dealership Burnt fuse for radiator fan will set codes ETC coolant or throttle control. Can not remember. But most likely you have radiator fan that’s drawing to many amps blowing the fuse. Use the computer to check. You most likely have a recall for the fan replacement. All recalls are free

Love the videos. Just one suggestion - I use the same coffee grinder. If you take the end cap off the long end and put it on the short end, you can stick the long end into the grinder with the end knob sticking up. Since the knob rotates, it's easy to hold the knob while you rotate the grinder. Hope things work out with your van...
IDEA: Check on what that fuse is too. That might give you an idea on why it is blowing. You might be able to fix it your self. Been watching you video for a while.

Maddie there's little things you can do when you have an engine light you can disconnect the battery leave it off for a few minutes to hen put it back n tighten up and it resets the system it may get you out of trouble 😅

I recently tried this coffee at an Italian coffee place in NY where it’s kinda of cold mocha latte with chocolate and pistachio. They served it in a martini glass. Pricey but so good!!

I have a similar van to yours and it is common for check engine lights to come on, often just a low battery will trigger a few, cold weather puts a strain on the battery too .. keep the oil changes frequent, keep the coolant topped up, and the diesel filter every now and again and you probably won't have too many real problems. The OBD2 scanners are cheap and I'm sure you could ask your subscribers for a little help to solve any problems and point you in the right direction to have them fixed.

Hi Maddie, I have much empathy for you and your van… My PRM 2500 (2017) will over heat if I push it up a hill. I end up spinning at 40mph at 4000 rpm. I learned that blasting your heater (open your windows for sure) helps to cool the engine. AND that does help. I also put the most expensive gas in AND boost it with Lucas? Gasoline booster😂 (auto zone will know).
After even all of that, Lulu (my van- means Pearl in Swahili:)) died in a Valvoline parking lot. It wouldn’t shift from park to drive. Thankfully it happened there. BUT I got towed to the dealer. There was a recall on the shifter- go figure-; but he said I need a new transmission. SOO 8500.00 smacks (there goes the AC I was saving for and webasto heater:((, I got back on the road. From Texas to CO to AZ, IT STILL does the same (insert many swear words!!!) thing!!!
I literally am like a semi truck having to put my flashers on and let ALL the other sprinter vans, big rigs etc pass me😢. Still blasting the heater!
The moral to my story is WHERE can we find an honest mechanic??? The tranny is under warranty, so I guess it will be back to the dealer ship. (I have two cats, so I know you know the struggle of having to abandon ship while your home is under repair.) Not thrilled about this.
ANywhoo, SO happy Alex is with you. I am so happy to be back on flat land and where there is too much sun for my refrigerator hog of solar energy.

First love your videos and glad you had someone with you to help sort this out. 2nd because your van is a Diesel that ectopic light will come on when your exhaust temp gets high which will happen when you work that little diesel hard just stop leave the engine running and it will cool off on its own then the light should go out as far as the fuse there like light bulbs and Eventually will blow but keep an eye on things and I would suggest you getting a code reader of your own you can get a decent one for less then $200 at most harbor freight or some parts store. That law of attraction thing is Real and True. The more you can keep your bandwidth it contentment or above when the bumps in the road do come along you bounce back quickly. When you showed your fingers crossed over the steering wheel it gave me goosebumps because your index finger being the positive one is crossed over the negative finger. What people don't understand about our lives in the frequency is that every topic is like a stick it has two ends the end that you want and then that you don't want pick up the end that you do want and run with it leave the other end alone. Every negative thought and word affects the situation even talking about it here on TH-cam you are focused on the negativity and the troubles and repeating them and talking about the last time they happen and how they might happen again. It takes some practice but once you learn to trust that lady you speak to in your head and you clear the channel from your head to your gut of 100% And I mean 100% of all doubt and worry you have to let go of it and when you clear that channel when there is something to have concern with you will feel the guidance from yourself from your higher self and you will feel any slight quiver and no that you need to stop change directions change your thoughts and follow the guidance play Red Light Green Light make the statement of your intention and then sit there for a moment and feel your gut make the statement of your intention and then sit for a moment and feel think and feel think and feel. See people don't understand when you put all that worry and you churn up your gut with that worry when there is something to worry about you can't feel the warning because you've already got your gut turned up with what you read what you heard what you remember what you experienced in the past and all that blah blah blah blah blah let go of the blah blah and clear the channel and you will not believe the peace that you will feel. It took me 59 years to figure this out in the last six have been heaven because now I trust and no that I can walk out into the wilderness or pull down a dead end Road and simply ask my higher self I'm safe here for the night I'm safe here for the night I'm safe here for the night if I feel warm and fuzzy I know I'm safe to stay if I feel a sense of warning then I know I need to find somewhere else. i was cleaning cheese out of the toaster the Walmart cheese bread came apart cooled on the rails that move in and out i let it cool in it oops I took trap door open the mess fell out into the trash can! i had toaster burn half out flip toast around to 2 brown sides before it works right still! ps I was gone camping in tow behind camp trailer & solar power system & gas generator system! it either that or do it at my home trailer (why ok there power outages weekly here line work)
