- What’s up everybody? Just a quick video on how to straighten your steering wheel on a 2016 Ram 2500 by adjusting the drag link. This is an easy fix if your steering wheel is not straight from installing a lift kit, misalignment, or maybe steering upgrades that get installed.

I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 bigHorn and am wondering is the drag bar in same place and yes my steering wheel is also turning towards right and it’s all in aligned as well
Question drag link short piece needs to be replaced should I hook it to pitman arm them screw the other side on
I have an outdoorsman and cannot find that bar to adjust are all 4th gens designed the same?
Should be? Unless yours has an upgraded aftermarket one?
I see you have a track bar drop bracket. Did ou have to use a drop pitman arm also? Is the track bar set to 39 1/8" or factory length?
Just the drop bracket and factory trac bar.
Where did you find the bracket if you don't mind?
It came with my lift kit. You can always go to a metal fabricator/welder and have them make something too.
So helpful, has it held up? Or it loosened over time?
I used a little lock tight on the threads when I tightened it but it’s still good.
Does the truck needs to be lifted?
No, you can adjust in the ground. It may just be a little harder to turn.
I got to ask how's that new bar adjustable
I believe the 4th gen came out with the adjustable drag link setup. You just loosen the end nuts and the middle part rotates to align your steering wheel. Once aligned you tighten the nuts back up. I’d recommend at minimum blue locktite but red locktite may be better. You can also drill a hole in tue nut as a previous subscriber mentioned and use a bolt to tighten the nut from moving too. The Ram Mechanics want to weld the nuts in place but that makes future adjustments almost impossible.
Mine is welded wtf. Its supposed to be a recall ?
If I’m not mistaken, that’s how they fixed it during the recall. They welded it.
People you can also safety-wire those nuts the factory wants you to weld them oh you just free drill a hole through the nuts
