While I no longer use these products, I would attempt to hit stud to mount the device to. Toggle bolts require such a large hole, but if you miss then a toggle bolt might be your only option. They also have what I cal zip-its (not sure that's correct) that have an tilt out anchor, similar to a toggle bolt. These would also be a possibility.
Hi Sean, do you have any experience with connect dahua cameras by cable cat 5e long 300m. I have nvr dhi-nvr4208-8p-i and camera dh-sd5a432xa-hnr. I need connect devices trough 290m.
I've used a few devices that do extend the 100M limitation, not your exact devices but the models shouldn't matter. One that I used with sucess is made by Omnitron. I think it will come up if you search for Omnitron Systems Power Extender. Wish I could put links in.
Hey Sean, do you have any experience with alarm input and output on IP cameras? I have a few Dahua tioc cameras that have exposed wiring for alarm input and out. I won't be using this function but I was wondering if the wiring has any voltage running through it when the camera is connected via Poe. Does this wiring need to terminated with a wire cap or is it a dry contact. I was looking to place the pigtail inside a Dahua junction box. Thanks
Hi and thanks for watching. The inputs and outputs are dry contacts so there is no voltage on them. I do like to cut off the ends, fold them back, and wrap with electrical tape. I cut them at an angle so no two ends are even. No need to get crazy with the tape, just a couple wraps around will keep the ends covered and give you a cleaner installation. 😁
Any advice on mounting the PFA120 on Stucco? I believe I have OSB or plywood behind the stucco. Toggle bolts?
