Gosh my problem is the fact that I'm a loner. I fail to maintain friendships however, I'm blessed with amazing friends. Those I met in 2008 at work, we meet once a month and I just love them. My 3 girl friends from high school, we talk / meet once in a blue moon, but we connect like we meet or talk daily. It's just amazing.
I think Skhu is on point. It takes emotional maturity n wisdom..especially when you meet someone you connect with , on a deeper level. Now you become very smart when handling conflict and understand that there will at times be a conflict even with the right emotionally mature person. Yes now friendships have boundaries, some fizzle out as time goes on, but in a civil manner. Some friendships can be very complicated especially when success is involved. Now some fall off the radar...but you meet from time to time. All i can say is,you are blessed if you meet someone who is genuine, trustworthy and responsible for her/his own happiness...does not need validation from other people. Someone who knows her/his worth. You guys are a beautiful, imperfect package like everyone. Amen
