I know you guys like all the social interaction...we have opted for more nature - have spent the last six months exclusively in National campgrounds. No sewer hook-ups but they all have dumps. Here at Holly Bay in London, KY, right on our site, we have witnessed two baby barred owls leaving the nest under mom and dad's watchful eyes. What a treat! You are still our favorite TV show. You inspired me to get out there, even if part time now. My second trip with new RV 90 mph winds, pouring rain, trees down power outage and 30 minutes in a storm shelter/ bathroom. Then I watched the Hanks on battery power,can’t wait for my next trip. THANKS HANKS for being so positive!!
I remember pulling into Tampa AFB for a weekend in our R-Pod 180 couples trailer during the onset of a tropical storm. I got out of the truck to guide my husband onto the lot. We had 2 small dogs that were terrified of the storm. We could either stay in the truck for the next 15 minutes or make a rush for the pod, so I insisted we go for it since I was soaked anyway. We got settled quickly (not much but put the slide out), but we quickly realized the storm was not passing quickly. The entire evening was thunder, lightening, and me scratching my ankles like crazy from red ant bites!
Wife and I plan to sell our house in SoCal this year. After researching places to live in the country, we're now thinking about doing a lot of traveling to find a comfortable area. That led to this video, just now, being my first ever on a search for "RV life". I know Nothing about it but apparently great folks are vlogging their experiences to help brick-folks like us to learn the good, bad, and ugly. Thanks for being here. Will let ya know how we go...
@@nelladavis4418 Thanks for asking. I organized hundreds of videos into playlists on so many nuances of RV life. Our conclusion is, as the title here says, that RV living isn't for everyone. We simply don't have the patience, time, skill, or money that are required for this great lifestyle. It's alluring, but we know our limitations. I'm not that guy who can fix things when they're broke. RV's need a lot of maintenance, and that can be costly. At this time we're thinking of renting something small for short local trips, and doing that a few times with longer trips as we learn and get more comfortable. By renting we avoid many of the long-term financial challenges, and we get a chance to find the size that's right for us. I still don' think we'll sell the house for an RV lifestyle, but I would certainly enjoy RVing as an occasional hobby. HTH
Love your channel, I don't think I ever want to be full time, but in a year and a half or so we intend to do half time. Doing month to 3 month trips besides our weekends multiple times a year, you all seem like, a fun people hope to meet you in our future travels.

We so wish we could have done full time RVing this at your age. Remote and traveling work just wasn't common in our careers back in the day. We've been tent camping, truck camping, travel trailer and now on our second 5th wheel in the last 42 years and love it. So glad you met some friends and had a good week hanging out. Maverick and Nash are therapy dogs for a reason! They help build and crazy glue the crazy RV community together! It's so cute that Dexter likes Nashies! LOL! IMO, there are no downsides to full-timing. There are always new friends, new experiences, old friends, fabulous scenery, and real-life challenges between the bouts of loneliness and reflection. I subscribe to many rv channels but you guys quickly rose to the top. We are planning a cross country trip from our home base in FL to CA. The concentration will be in Utah. We are not letting the price of gas deter our plans. We will off set the expense by slowing it down and boondocking about 1/2 the time. Taking about 7 weeks which will be our longest trek to date! We are full timers for 11 years. The last six years we have spent the winters in the BLM LTVA in Winterhaven CA. Before that we moved every two to three weeks around different BLM land. We prefer boondocking to RV parks, I guess we are hicks at heart. I love your channel, it always gives me a smile.

Today my son and I went to the movies and saw the new Sonic. Been a Kinda chill day while the wifey is at work saving lives ( travel nurse) in Reno,Nevada now for another assignment # 8... Lake Tahoe isn’t a bad place to be during the summer.

We're still bouncing back and forth between RV parks in Mesa AZ while we wait for my upcoming surgery (got postponed!) so we can finally get back on the road and head to cooler temps in the PNW. Can't wait to get back on the road, doesn't feel like we are RV'ing if were stuck somewhere for months.

We're at the Downtown Riverside RV Park in Little Rock, AR & are slowly making are way to Escapade 61 with stops south of Memphis, Savannah, the Natchez Chase & Nashville. We just finished a 6 day visit with old friends that we have not see for 30 years.
Good luck in Savannah that is my hometown an I will be camping somewhere around there the next few weeks before going down to Mississippi. Have fun there an maybe we will run into each other.

@@neonrainbow9033 thanks for the suggestion. I have had a tech look at the slide, and the slide pin broke. My dealership is working with Grand Design to get the parts and fit it. Luckily we can use our rig. We just cannot deploy the slide.

Thursday night, our seasonal campground started to flood. I had to run around inside/outside for about an hour total to clean up, pack up, unhook and get her on the truck to pull to safety. Today (Sunday) the campground is inaccessible as the entire park is under water. We are fortunate we got our camper out, but it was definitely not rainbows and sunshine! Waiting for some good weather to allow the river to recess and dry up the water so we can hopefully get back out there (we live at the park in the summer, and being at the sticks and bricks is just odd this time of year).

We are struggling getting our house and yard in shape for sale. Originally, June was the target date to place house on market; however, we have met every obstacle possible. The end of August seems more realistic. We want to go to Hershey Rv show in September to buy or order the Rv, but more likely we will have to wait for the Tampa RV show. We were going full time Rving, but had to change our mind. We are buying a small home to serve as a home base. We will Rv most the time. We are so behind in watching our favorite Rv you tubers, like yours. We are so tired by the end of day.. Someday, we will catch up.
Retiring from the Navy next year, RV soon to follow, I’ll be bringing my “zoo” (cat, dog, macaw, and monkey) along for the ride. I’ve never done this before, should be entertaining. Been great watching your channel
Me and my wife and our two dogs left upstate NY on Monday the 9th and made our way to Tennessee to visit some family for graduation. Tuesday morning were heading to Myrtle beach for a few days. This was our test run per say and we love it. Hope to run into you guys on the road.

I just started Season 3 of Ready Set Adventure, we released our new RSA Bucket List, 50 adventures we want to do, and the best part, every year we have to add 1 new adventure. It's nice having the list that we can always look to when we want to adventure. So far we have checked off 2 adventures in our first 2 videos.
My youngest kids (twins) turned 7 yesterday. So 11 more years and I am going to be full timing! The countdown is on 😅! Love the videos never disappoint.

We are full timers for 11 years. The last six years we have spent the winters in the BLM LTVA in Winterhaven CA. Before that we moved every two to three weeks around different BLM land. We prefer boondocking to RV parks, I guess we are hicks at heart. I love your channel, it always gives me a smile.

We just went full time. Got rid of the 24ft travel trailer we used for vacations and got a 40ft class A with a king bed and two bath and we are loving it

Today my son and I went to the movies and saw the new Sonic. Been a Kinda chill day while the wifey is at work saving lives ( travel nurse) in Reno,Nevada now for another assignment # 8... Lake Tahoe isn’t a bad place to be during the summer.

We're still bouncing back and forth between RV parks in Mesa AZ while we wait for my upcoming surgery (got postponed!) so we can finally get back on the road and head to cooler temps in the PNW. Can't wait to get back on the road, doesn't feel like we are RV'ing if were stuck somewhere for months.

We're at the Downtown Riverside RV Park in Little Rock, AR & are slowly making are way to Escapade 61 with stops south of Memphis, Savannah, the Natchez Chase & Nashville. We just finished a 6 day visit with old friends that we have not see for 30 years.
Good luck in Savannah that is my hometown an I will be camping somewhere around there the next few weeks before going down to Mississippi. Have fun there an maybe we will run into each other.

@@neonrainbow9033 thanks for the suggestion. I have had a tech look at the slide, and the slide pin broke. My dealership is working with Grand Design to get the parts and fit it. Luckily we can use our rig. We just cannot deploy the slide.

Thursday night, our seasonal campground started to flood. I had to run around inside/outside for about an hour total to clean up, pack up, unhook and get her on the truck to pull to safety. Today (Sunday) the campground is inaccessible as the entire park is under water. We are fortunate we got our camper out, but it was definitely not rainbows and sunshine! Waiting for some good weather to allow the river to recess and dry up the water so we can hopefully get back out there (we live at the park in the summer, and being at the sticks and bricks is just odd this time of year).

We are struggling getting our house and yard in shape for sale. Originally, June was the target date to place house on market; however, we have met every obstacle possible. The end of August seems more realistic. We want to go to Hershey Rv show in September to buy or order the Rv, but more likely we will have to wait for the Tampa RV show. We were going full time Rving, but had to change our mind. We are buying a small home to serve as a home base. We will Rv most the time. We are so behind in watching our favorite Rv you tubers, like yours. We are so tired by the end of day.. Someday, we will catch up.

Me and my wife and our two dogs left upstate NY on Monday the 9th and made our way to Tennessee to visit some family for graduation. Tuesday morning were heading to Myrtle beach for a few days. This was our test run per say and we love it. Hope to run into you guys on the road.

I hope you all are having fun. I just started Season 3 of Ready Set Adventure, we released our new RSA Bucket List, 50 adventures we want to do, and the best part, every year we have to add 1 new adventure. It's nice having the list that we can always look to when we want to adventure. So far we have checked off 2 adventures in our first 2 videos.
My youngest kids (twins) turned 7 yesterday. So 11 more years and I am going to be full timing! The countdown is on 😅! Love the videos never disappoint.
