  • Time for another super satisfying wool painting experience! Basically, we're creating needle felted art out of lots of colorful chunks of wool! I really love creating wooly paintings because you don't need to do a lot of shading - even if you keep your artwork simple, it still turns out pretty cool. It's also super easy, so I think just about anyone can do it. Just be careful and read the directions!

    This is such a lovely piece! As soon as you added the pinstripes, the plant really became recognisable. I really enjoy these videos, whether its painting, needle felting, lino printing etc - just watching you create something is so relaxing and satisfying

    I've seen people do wet felting for the background then needle felt the details on top. It saves time, but wet felting is a whole process in itself! I'd love to try wet felting if I ever get space to do it.

    • @cindyserry2836
      @cindyserry2836 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally saves time. I don't even use the felt, just 3 layers of roving in alternating direction, then the painting, just loosely stabbed in place, then wet felted, then needle felt details on top. Check out Moy Mackay.

    Pulling up the felt at the end reminded me of a super satisfying (but waaaaay less painful/gross) pore strip peel 😂Love how that felt plant turned out! 💖 (edit: wrote this comment before finishing the video and you were totally on the same wave length with the pore strips LOL 🤣)

  • @harleyfreewheeler1531

    Do you use wool slabs to felt on? What I mean is, are they 100% wool sheets?

  • @cindydolezal2980
    @cindydolezal2980 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I needle felt i pull up on the project every so often to keep it from sticking to the surface. I'm always afraid of it tearing when you pull it off.

    No!!!! You just had twins!!!! Danger ahead!!! Please give yourself more time for hormones to settle. NO protection either?! No, not while you are watching something else?! Listen to music or an audio book, not something that you are watching with that many needles!!! No, Mira, please be careful. What does your nurse husband have to say about this? Love you and your video. Sending love and enjoy the babies 💞!!

    • @MiraByler
      @MiraByler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had my babies 3 months ago. I am perfectly fine to create stuff. My mental health would suffer otherwise. And I am being careful. I am a very slow needle felter for this reason. I didn’t get hurt a single time.

    • @gilashroot8697
      @gilashroot8697 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MiraByler you take me too seriously. This is not a criticism at all on any level. Just remembering all the times you have injured yourself stamping and creating these felt paintings. I am merely scared to watch you hurt yourself again that's all. Add some dramatic license and you get my comment. Sending love. Sorry that the tone of my message did not come through. Your body went through so much take care of your fingers that is all 🙈. Sending love and support. Looking forward to your videos. So glad you are back. I missed you, but thrilled you took your time to come back. Please never take any of my comments without a huge dose of love behind them! Thank you.
