This is so pleasant to watch, we can practically feel the wool in our hands! We love that Mira talked about her affection for where she's from, because it's important for people new to art- especially young people- to know that amazing, skilled, talented artists are everywhere, in every community!
The round machine you saw was most likely a drum carder. Dyers will use them when preparing batts to sell. You can get hand carders that work much the same way if you want to play with blending fiber. (Hand carders basically look like big slicker brushes) i love how you did this! Everything came out great. Nicely done as always ma'am!
I also want to say that I love the way you edited this video. I know you posted saying you were trying something a bit different, and I love the overall editing in addition to the little bubble of you narrating what's happening. Idk, it just had an altogether different feel that I thought was really fun and that I can tell took a lot of time and I'm just really impressed by it.
This is so relatable! As an artist I love to use vibrant, super saturated colors with black, or else pastels with neutrals, but still lots of different colors. But for my home decorating I’m like, “Nope. Dark blue, dark brown, dark grey, off white. That’s it.” That’s what I know and that’s what I stick with. That and birds and trees. That is the entirety of my home decor. But the art is all over the place. 🤣
Wool artist here... i love your textures you caught. Plus uour view of rhe Midwest is awesome. I recommend you takw a look at living felt. Not only are they a TH-cam channel, but they sell everything wool related. Theyhave alot of inspiration. I can't wait to see what else you produce.
I absolutely love how this turned out. The texture is so interesting! And as someone who grew up in Illinois, I appreciate your love for where you came from. There's something special about the Midwest and how far you can see across the farmland. Or the misty fall mornings. Or looking down the rows of a corn field stretching for miles. I love it, too!
As someone who also is on a mission to use up the art supplies (which piled up from birthdays and holidays) instead of buying new ones, it's really nice to see that mentioned! It's easy to feel guilty about it and thus avoid making art. It's definitely been a journey trying to set that aside and relearn how to have fun and relax while making art again I really like the painting, the texture looks great!
I loooove all of the texture! Especially the parts where you twisted multiple colors together. So fun! I'm excited to see what it looks like framed and hanging up on your wall.
I have never seen this, let alone tried it. It looks like a lot of fun and your finished piece was just beautiful! I'm not sure I would have the patience for this, but it was fun watching you
That. Was. Beautiful! Mira each time you do one of these paintings with wool, it makes me want to buy a kit and get started on my own, but I have so, so many hobbies I love that I can hardly find time for, that I realise I have to resist! Lol God bless you and your family Mira. Have a great rest of your weekend!
First of all BEAUTIFUL, I LOVE ALL THE COLORS, TEXTURES AND CREATIVE USE OF KNOTS AND BRAIDING! 🌞☁️☁️🌵🌾 Have used very similar techniques in the past, I never braided though that is a wonderful idea! Nice to see others used this technique so organically A lot of people that paint with wool have this amazing Hack where they buy second hand sweaters for cheap (I think they have to have some wool content in there yet not 100%sure) , throw it in the washing machine on regular heat (NOT WOOL, good old regular wash, the one that will felt up any sweater) and than cut them up into preferable sizes and shapes. So you end up with good quality felt fabric that you can felt paintings onto. Also, dog brushes, set of 2, can use pretty cheap ones, not too big in size. That would be the home-version of that big tumbler drum that makes huge batches.
There’s a point in the peace about halfway that I really liked !! it had full vibes, Cornfields Hayes maybe sheep.. lol, I wasn’t sure about how much texture was in it but the finish piece looks so complete. It is just stunning.!!
Beautiful! It looks like something Van Gogh would have paint-er… felted. Kinda looks like a garden in the fall and the peachy shapes remind me of sheep. And maybe the brown shape is a cow? Very cool!
I've really wanted to jump into 3d ans fibre arts recently - this, textured embroidery, sewing, beading, shadow boxed paper arts, clay frames/clay paintings, pottery, etc
I'm from New England, but I went to college in the Midwest, so I can totally envision the scene your "painting" is depicting. Love the rolls, twists, braids, and knots =)
This is utterly fascinating to watch. But I couldn't do one myself. The sensation of pulling the wool apart gives me the willies. It's doing it just watching you. 😆
This is neat. I like the textures and fluffiness of it. It's cool to see you experiment with the wool. Love landscapes. I live in the Pacific northwest and on overcast days it seems like the greens of the plants really pop. Over all the piece looks awesome.
I live a block away from Mayo Clinic. They have amazing art all over their buildings. I have seen similar paintings like this there and wondered at how they were made. Now I know! Your work would be fit fabulously there!💜💜💜
This one is my favourite that you have done so far. It reminds me of embroidery using twine. Love all the twisting of the wool to get different textures and shapes, they look so soft.
I've tried needle felting a bit. Coming from a confectioner background, I made 3D flowers, mainly roses, the way you would make them out of marzipan or sugar :D They came out cool but a bit fragile, gave them to friends. Maybe I should make more at some point. The peeling of the piece from the foam looks a lot like grass roots to me! You know, when over a looong time you can end up with a carpet off grass etc on top of a stone slab and you can lift it off in one piece like this :) very satisfying, but a lot dirtier of course.
i love this piece so much!! the texture and colors look so amazing and it’s so satisfying to watch! i think it’d be cool if you did something similar to this, but more of an ocean piece with bright, colorful textured coral at the bottom!! and maybe some cute little fish? 🐠💖 love this video so much! amazing job as always!!
The finished piece looks so cool, I really love all the textures and colors 😄💜 Haven’t tried something like this since I was around 9 years old for a school project, looks really fun so maybe it’s time to try it again 😊
I did felting once at an event (it was a tiny little nametag) and I was immediately hooked (pun intended haha). Can't really store craft stuff much atm so it's a potential thing for later to dive into!
Wait, doesn't insulation have plexi glass in it? Becareful poking into that Mira, bc u don't wanna breathe those particles. If I'm thinking of the right pink insulation stuff to begin with. Love the piece btw. Very creative 😊
I have all my left over stuff in a bag wich is sad because I should do it again I loved needle felting. I never really made a 2d painting well I did 1 dog 3d ish . Rest of pieces are animals cute but also somewhat realistic. Atm I don't do anything for relaxing with art so I have to start
The painting is really pretty but I'll be honest, the wool texture sets my teeth on edge, even through video! I "watched" this video, by just taking peeks every now and again and playing some Minecraft at the same time 😂
Amazinggggg 😍👏👏👏 I enjoyed the entire video! Thank you for all your hard work 😊 Btw, have you ever thought of making dolls for your babies out of these wool? 🙂 or just decorations dolls in their room! Did they start to walk? 😍 I hope you all doing well 🌸
Good news! You can follow my instagram @mirabyler - I plan to post a photo of it framed once I receive the frame. I ordered the frame from a small business, and am still waiting for it to arrive. I imagine it will take a long time for them to make it and send it in the mail. :D
Great question! It's a sheet of housing insulation foam from Menard's or Home Depot. Perfect for the needles to sink into something and break from hitting a hard surface! And thank you! 💜
Wow, what a lovely piece of art. I hope you'll share how it looks in its frame in a later video. You're so good at these! Also...I was so worried about you stabbing your finger...but you're right, you're a pro now. Hahaha
Amazing painting, every time gets better! Would be so much fun to see you make a lavander field with this technique
This is so pleasant to watch, we can practically feel the wool in our hands! We love that Mira talked about her affection for where she's from, because it's important for people new to art- especially young people- to know that amazing, skilled, talented artists are everywhere, in every community!
I've never heard of or seen this before. Very pretty "painting". Thanks for sharing!
I have to say as a fellow Midwesterner you captured the vibe well of this time of year.
I am usually not a fan of a lot of texture, but I really like this. It feels like rolling hills and different things growing everywhere. Nice job.
Good idea with making knots to do Lil trees in the tree line.
Comfort video as I feel bad; I'm grieving the loss of a friend (the third this year). Thank you so much. 💕💕💕
The round machine you saw was most likely a drum carder. Dyers will use them when preparing batts to sell. You can get hand carders that work much the same way if you want to play with blending fiber. (Hand carders basically look like big slicker brushes) i love how you did this! There's something so satisfying about working on my own needle felt painting while watching a video of someone doing the same thing
This is the BEST wool painting yet! The colors, the textures, the movement - 😍.
I also want to say that I love the way you edited this video. I know you posted saying you were trying something a bit different, and I love the overall editing in addition to the little bubble of you narrating what's happening. Thank you!! I’m so glad to hear you liked the new style! It took forever 😅😅💜
I agree!!

You are my person, haha!! Totally feel you!! Also you have great taste in home decorating colors!
@@MiraBylerHa! Thanks!
I like that you can feel your art project. Literally, touch it and stroke. It turned out amazing. So autumn-y=)
Wool artist here... i love your textures you caught. Plus uour view of rhe Midwest is awesome.

Something about this gives STRONG Van Gogh vibes and I love it!!

I really like the painting, the texture looks great!
Mira- I'm gonna do something really different for me
Also Mira- proceeds to make another beautiful field painting.
I loooove all of the texture! Especially the parts where you twisted multiple colors together. So fun! I'm excited to see what it looks like framed and hanging up on your wall.
It reminds me of autumn vegetable garden of cabbage, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, etc. Awesome
I have never seen this, let alone tried it. It looks like a lot of fun and your finished piece was just beautiful! I'm not sure I would have the patience for this, but it was fun watching you

That is really cool!! Nice textured portrayal of Midwestern scenery!! 👏👏
That was really cool ive watched a few different people do this but youre the first ive seen do the texture!
Beautiful! It looks like something Van Gogh would have paint-er… felted. Kinda looks like a garden in the fall and the peachy shapes remind me of sheep. And maybe the brown shape is a cow? Very cool!
Loving the editing on this video, very pretty to watch. ❤ love the finished result!!
Thank you! 💜
It reminds me of a vegetable garden. 😊
I've really wanted to jump into 3d ans fibre arts recently - this, textured embroidery, sewing, beading, shadow boxed paper arts, clay frames/clay paintings, pottery, etc
I love the flowers that look like little pieces of popcorn…..😊
I'm from New England, but I went to college in the Midwest, so I can totally envision the scene your "painting" is depicting. Love the rolls, twists, braids, and knots =)
I’ve never seen anything like this! Gorgeous!❤
Very cool. The sky colours are just stunning
Love to see how you mounted it for the wall. Also that looked so amazing. All your new techniques made it look so cool.
It’s gorgeous! This video was so relaxing to watch.
Nope, I've never tried needle felting... but I think it's really cool. Some of the projects people create are amazing.
Love your painting.
This is utterly fascinating to watch.

I live a block away from Mayo Clinic. They have amazing art all over their buildings. I have seen similar paintings like this there and wondered at how they were made. Now I know! Your work would be fit fabulously there!💜💜💜
I love these! Can definitely tell how far you've come in the learning curve doing this. I'm looking forward to seeing it in its final frame 😁
You should definitely do another! I love this it's gorgeous ❤❤
This came out really beautiful!
Such a beautiful piece ❤
this is such a cool idea I never would have thought of 😍
Ur videos always makes my day ur art is amazing !!!

Absolutely beautiful, I love the texture!
This is so awesome!! I would totally pay to have a piece of art like that... Super detail oriented!
It turned out so beautiful! I love fiber arts although I've never tried needle felting.
That is pretty neat. Love the colors.
Wow! I love the results!
Also I have not tried this but every time I see you do it I think how I really want to try it. Hopefully I will soon!
i love this piece so much!! the texture and colors look so amazing and it’s so satisfying to watch! i think it’d be cool if you did something similar to this, but more of an ocean piece with bright, colorful textured coral at the bottom!! and maybe some cute little fish? 🐠💖 love this video so much! amazing job as always!!
Love this! I must try it 🎉
This is awesome 👌 seeing ur video i got an inspiration to try this art atleast once.. thanks ❤
The finished piece looks so cool, I really love all the textures and colors 😄💜 Haven’t tried something like this since I was around 9 years old for a school project, looks really fun so maybe it’s time to try it again 😊
This is so UNIQUE 🎉😢 Loved it, never tried this before.
As a crocheter/knitter i wanna say, that aint a lot of wool. I'm ashamed of the amount of yarn i have 😬
😹😹😹 totally hey
Never be ashamed! You always need more wool!!
It’s the same I think for all Artists and crafters. We all need more we all need new.
Oh my goodness, ME TOO HUN!
But you always end up needing more! 😅
I did felting once at an event (it was a tiny little nametag) and I was immediately hooked (pun intended haha). Can't really store craft stuff much atm so it's a potential thing for later to dive into!
I think I did when I was younger did something like this. to me it looks like a Farm pretty Kool dear will looks great in your home .💖
It makes me think of the scene from the wizard of oz were Dorthy first met the scarecrow very cool painting.
This really gave me vibes of the fruit people paintings by Guseppie Arcimboldo ....you always impress me x
Wait, doesn't insulation have plexi glass in it? Becareful poking into that Mira, bc u don't wanna breathe those particles. If I'm thinking of the right pink insulation stuff to begin with. Love the piece btw. Very creative 😊
That a different kind of insulation then what your thinking of. That isn’t dangerous like the stuff your thinking of.
Wheat and cotton at the bottom is what I think of!
I have all my left over stuff in a bag wich is sad because I should do it again I loved needle felting. I never really made a 2d painting well I did 1 dog 3d ish . Rest of pieces are animals cute but also somewhat realistic. Atm I don't do anything for relaxing with art so I have to start
Yeah finally in time to watch your video :) last year I tried it after your video’s and I loved it. I made so many cats and abstract cats 😂
Luv it!
Wooooow I love it 😍
Your amazing. 🎉
I love your brain!
Going back to making videos more often
Haha, yes! I was on vacation, but it’s nice to be back! 😁
Do you show your husband as you work or does he only get to see it when the piece is complete? Just curious.
It depends if I don’t finish it in one day. We both finish work around 4-5, so if I’m not done he will always come peek at it when he gets home 😁
The painting is really pretty but I'll be honest, the wool texture sets my teeth on edge, even through video! I "watched" this video, by just taking peeks every now and again and playing some Minecraft at the same time 😂
Amazinggggg 😍👏👏👏 I enjoyed the entire video!
Thank you for all your hard work 😊
Btw, have you ever thought of making dolls for your babies out of these wool? 🙂 or just decorations dolls in their room!
Did they start to walk? 😍
I hope you all doing well 🌸
Yay!!!
It’s giving Van Gogh Mira!
I would have loved to see how you framed it
Good news! You can follow my instagram @mirabyler - I plan to post a photo of it framed once I receive the frame. I ordered the frame from a small business, and am still waiting for it to arrive. I imagine it will take a long time for them to make it and send it in the mail. :D
Wait how do you mount it and preserve it from dust and fluff? A shadow box or something?
Great question! I usually put them in shadow boxes, but for this one I’m doing something a little different!
I really wished you’d left the sound of the felting in the video idk it’s just so satisfying to hear
❓❓What exactly do you have under the felt piece on which you are working/creating? ❤ your work.
Great question! It's a sheet of housing insulation foam from Menard's or Home Depot. Perfect for the needles to sink into something and break from hitting a hard surface! And thank you! 💜
@MoriahElizabeth I would LOVE to see you try this for a video.. please consider.
I think I see Majin Buu in there
I just love the dickens otta you girl!
Is your shirt free people? I swore I had it in orange 😂
Hay bales* I mean
To me, the blobs at the bottom left looked like cotton.
No, I have never
Havent tried it before, want to but i really really dont need another hobby 😹😹😹
Wow, what a lovely piece of art. I hope you'll share how it looks in its frame in a later video. You're so good at these! Also...I was so worried about you stabbing your finger...but you're right, you're a pro now. Hahaha
