    I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Nintendo Treehouse is unfit to dub Fire Emblem. Nintendo needs to fire them! It fine when they translate baby games like Pokémon or Mario Party, but this kind of behavior translating a game for TEENAGERS and up is UNACCEPTABLE. The Xenoblade series never deals with this kind of garbage cause Nintendo outsources the translation of those games to a different studio.

    • @goatslayer3160

    • @Minarreal
      @Minarreal ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's the price the series must pay after becoming a somewhat big property for the company, which wants zero controversy coming from its games.
      Xenoblade actually suffers more from poor translations, but it does have its fair share of localization tailoring but, even then, it still managed to produce some sparks. So now people allege that Xenoblade 3 was made "normier" to avoid the 2 controversies.

    Strange considering awakening and fates have the English and localization keep women like Tharja and Charlotte on how beautiful their bodies are or how they use it to thier advantage. Tharja gets praised as having a beautiful body or being the prettiest in the army while Charlotte literally uses her charm to get guys to protect her which lowered her rank in the army until she got picked up by the royals again.
    Goldmary is very Ara Ara energy but she does sound prideful in how pretty she is which isn't bad I liked her a lot.

    • @nahte123456
      @nahte123456 ปีที่แล้ว +34

      ...What? When did you last play Awakening? Multiple supports and most of her DLC presence is about how Tharja does NOT like attention, does not use it, and absolutely despises people who notice it. She literally curses herself over it with Cordelia in Summer Scramble. Tharja is one of the females in the game that uses her looks the LEAST.
      Also she's never called the prettiest in the army? Like in the little barrack bio thing it says she has the best body but that's not the same thing and not something others would comment on.

      @nahte123456 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@RandomPasser You're just...very not knowledgeable on these characters, are you? Tharja and Camilla at least, Charlotte is a bit uncharitable but not wrong.
      Tharja wasn't that obsessed with Robin and almost every support she has focuses on her doing good things for people for literally no reason, and her threats are basically always laughed off as she never tries to hurt anyone. Her Supports with Virion, Nowi, or Libra are just her doing good things for no reason with no real focus on Robin at all. She never threatens Nowi, Curses Virion only to help others and not in any painful way, and Libra she goes out of her way to talk to him and help him with his past.
      Camilla dotes on all of her siblings, her entire Support with Xander and Leo are all about it, and her violence is due to her past trauma, she's not just some random yandere...she doesn't even get violent with people over liking Corrin. Only when they threaten someone she cares about or is ordered to.

      @@RandomPasser I think you sorta missed the characters points. Tharja was raised in a hard environment where even her umbilical cord got cut by dark magic to just start. Her harshness was a reaction to how her family was and even then tharja does more good than any bad really like trying to let nowi off easy on her parents dying or Gregor talking to Gregor snd so on
      Charlotte meanwhile being a gold digger has a point. She works in the army to get money for her family but her actions dropped her pay and than only leads to her trying harder as a country guard and force her personality aside from Benny.
      Camila has a deeper character too with how she had her family destroyed same as all their destructive mothers who used their kids for politics and even called out Niles for thinking she is spoiled when Camilla cares a lot about corrin and her family. Sure the community probably doesn't like her most due to being the most blatant and after azura didn't get the dlc spot they probably don't like her more but she's more a reaction to how Tharja was well made but I do agree they missed a few points

    Goldmary's bio states that she wants to be the shy, moe archetype, only for her pride get her way in over her head. Never really got that vibe from the dub, just the proud warrior part. Not that the dub was bad, because it wasn't, but I see the intended message in the sub more.
