  • This is a video I've been meaning to make for a while now. With multiple options in this sport for aftermarket primaries... how do you know what to choose? CVTech primary's are an amazing addition to any machine if the setup is right. Lets dive into a little conversation on what I think about the CVTech primary clutch!

    Ive been running my Cvtech from 30” outlaw max’s to 35” bkts on 4” portals and 35” aztex on the portals and the Cvtech is a monster on my 22 650 outlander xmr

    2021 outlander 650 with CVTech, Dalton secondary spring, flashed ECU, Maverick belt, yoshi exhaust. Mine is setup for 27” trail tires, 8200RPM full shift out and 8700 over rev. It changed the performance dramatically as Its now dead even with a stock 850XT. And I often piss off or impress other 850XMR owners lol 😂 next mods I’m looking into the PC6 and 800R cams and have it properly dyno tuned. Yes that seems excessive for a trail bike but I will continue to improve my 650 for the fact that it hurts feelings lol.

    When I look at cvtech primary’s the biggest tire size is 29-30. Can I run a cvtech tuned to 30s with 32s on my fourwheeler?

    I have an STM primary and secondary on my Rene 1k and a cvtech on an 850 outty with no secondary spring, both on 32 azteks, both of them absolutely rip. Honestly for the money the cvtech is a perfect option

      Awesome brother. As you said yourself, STM and CVTech are both great clutch's, cant go wrong with either one. The price point of the CVTech is what really helps a lot of people out but also shows you don't always need the billet primary clutch.

      @@252OFFROAD 100% that outlander will follow my renegade everywhere and the belts seem to wear about the same. I feel like a secondary spring does wonders on these bikes as well

    What do you suggest for spring and weight set up with 29.5 x8 14 assanators with the cv tech with stock secondary and dalton yellow black spring on a 2017 outlander 850

    Cvtech has always been my favourite , has very few moving parts and easy to tune . I have ran 34 sassy on my 850 and it ripped , for mud and skeg I ran a 1017 and for racing I ran a 1022 .

      For sure! 1017 spring is a very top choice for most setups.

    So when installing cvtech yu don’t have to use a torque wrench?

    • @252OFFROAD
      @252OFFROAD  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I properly torque all clutches to spec. Just edit out a bunch of stuff to keep video somewhat “less drowsy”.
