Hey! I'm currently a Junior in high school and UF as always been a dream school of mine because my mom attended there. My stats are not that impressive as I did not take any ap or similarly weighted coursese my freshman year so I only have a 4.46 on a 6 scale as of the start of junior year but i am still top 5% of my class. I havent taken the sat yet but my highest psat score was 1240 freshman year. I have 150 community service hours and I am in charge of planning and creating community services events for my schools fbla chapter which have so far received 60 (beach cleanup) and 28 participants (writing letters to soldiers) and plan to have many more community service events throughout the school year. Im currently the vice president of that local fbla chapter with around 100 active members and also enrolled in a leadership program where they select two highschoolers from each school in the county to go learn about all different types of businesses. I really hope I can get in but i still dont think my gpa is convincing enough, it should hopefully go up since im in 4 ap classes this year but nonetheless I'd really appreciate any input you have on ways I can improve my chances.
Hey! You’re doing great in terms of your campus and extracurriculars. You do need to get the SAT score up to feel a bit more confident. I also would try to do as well as you can on your AP classes. You can’t change the past, but you can certainly still put yourself in a great spot!
Hey! Applied for Summer at UF, super nervous about decisions Applied with a 1300sat 5.18/6 & 3.8/4 gpa, AICE diploma, 8 aps 8 aice classes, in-state student and i rank 68/1093. I was the first to HSler to intern at a Police Department near me, I founded a club at my school and introduced a new class to the curriculum, ambassador of a non-profit organization donating over 350 items for charities and raising $1k+, DECA officer for 3 years, volunteer with Aceing Autism group for 2 years and much more. I qualified for DECA international competiton and I am a member of the national honor society. I intend to major in political sciences and sports management but i applied for sports management in common app. super nervous for feb 23 and I wanted to get ur take on my chances.
Im a senior in hs rn, and i have a 3.5 uw gpa 4.7 weighted on 6 point scale, 4.2 on uf recalculated scale of 5 pt, 1420 on my highest sat so far, top 5% of school (school doesnt tell me what part of graduating class i am but ill see if i can find that). I have the bright futures scholarship with 8 aice courses, taking 2 aps this year, co leader of robotics club, member of rho khappa history honors club, and broadcast magent program with heavy involvement outside of the class working on school events as well as extracurricular ones. I also had a job at target and am starting another one now. I would definitely say my common app essay is strong the main one. If you have any time i would love to know your thoughts. Thank you
I want to hear your thoughts: GPA: 3.7/4.4 (top 15%) SAT: 1560 AP Tests: 4 on AP English Lit (dual enrollment) ecc: 250 volunteer hours, 1 varsity sport, Student Government, Founded a Club, Club Volleyball, NHS, HOSA, TA for 3 years (2 in English, 1 in Chem) I’m applying to the nursing program and I have taken the Hesia2 and passed and finished all nursing prerequisite courses and I have a CNA license! other details; first college student and immigrant, poc
this is one of the 2 schools i applied to for comp sci. i took a gap year (grad may 2022). i have a 1230 SAT, 3.9 unweighted, 4.3 weighted, graduated as salutatorian from a really small school (117), i was only in one club and was unable to get any hours because i didn’t have any transportation, no volunteer stuff etc. i don’t think i will get in at all.
Yeah I wouldn’t say you have the best chance with those stats in all honesty. I also don’t think the program you apply for makes much of a difference at UF.
Ive got 15 APs, 4.0/4.5 and 1550 SAT but pretty lackluster ECs (retail job, some hobby electronics projects and thats pretty much it) so lets see how it goes, fingers crossed
Hey! Junior in HS currently. Got 1100 on SAT (working to improve), no ACT. Involved in 4 clubs, 90 hours of community service, 4.34 weighted and 3.71 unweighted GPA (5 APs taken so far) . 3 sports and one major leadership role in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (Leading Petty Officer). Responsible for 20 - 26 kids give or take. Interning at my local hospital after football season and most likely getting a job. I intend to major in Chemistry. Good chances for applying at UF?
Hello, I'm from the Philippines and I've recently moved to Florida. Can anybody help me regarding school admission. I just finished until my 3rd-year in college in the Philippines under the Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. I know that my units will not be credited. I don't know how they will compute my GPA and if I'm a freshman or a transfer student. Any Filipino mutuals here that undergo the same situation that can guide me? Thanks a lot!
Hi, was curious on what you think my chances are to UF. I had a 4.35 wGPA on a 5 scale, we don't count unweighted or class rank, I had taken 8 AP classes and the rest honors, I had a 29 on my ACT, I am in NHS and played 4 years varsity golf, I have over 300 service hours and have won the presidential service award twice, I also founded a service group that collects clothes for children at a local school, I am out of state and first gen. I also work around 20 hours a week at my job.
I am a junior in HS. Gpa of 3.7 uw, 3.9 weighted, 1480 sat. Extracurriculars such as student board on a jazz non profit, Founded a. Aerospace club, Chess club officer, volunteered for companies by making websites 3 hours a week, played saxophone and drums in jazz bands weekly and performed at jazz clubs, computer science honors club, and cyber security. I am out of state and have taken 3 Aps with hopes of more next year what r the odds ?
Hello, I am currently a senior and have already applied to UF but I was wondering what you think about my stats... I have a 1370 superscore on the SAT 4.662 GPA on a 6.0 scale. top 10% of my class (70/725 students) For extracurriculars: I have ten years of Martial arts experience, along with experience leading and teaching martial arts classes so I have leadership experience. I have the presidential volunteer service award, gold tier (I don't exactly know how good this looks) I am also the youth event and activity coordinator at my religious organization for over 80 kids, so more leadership experience. I participated in an internship over the summer relating to business I am Secretary of the red cross club at my school I am a member of the Math, Science, and English National honors societies, and i tutor students on campus I was also a summer volunteer at the Orlando Health Hospital working in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. As of right now, my major is neuroscience. Its worth mentioning that I took my required 2 years of language classes in middle school which resulted in me getting a C in Spanish 2. I also got a C in Ap Human Geography in 9th grade. Those are the only Cs on my transcript but I don't think they massively impacted my GPA, I am more so worried about what admissions officers would think of it. I also have a fair amount of Bs junior year... Do you think I have a fair shot at acceptance?
I think you have a fair shot. Your SAT score and GPA isn’t the strongest, but your extracurriculars are impressive! I wouldn’t worry about the random Cs from middle school and 9th grade. Recent coursework seems to be weighed more heavily.
my daughter has ACT 29 and SAT 1280 she has more than 60 hours of shadowing in Doctors office, 120 community service at Advent Hospital real time simulation (not in gift shop) she is volunteering in Advent OB/GYN dept, school clubs but no research what do you think? do we even apply to BS/MD program or we are asking for too much GPA is Weighted 4.06 Un Weighted 3.5 AP Cources and Dual credits she has
The volunteer experience is great, but the ACT and SAT is still quite a bit below the median now.. It’s always worth a shot to apply, but the scores / GPA wouldn’t make me super confident.
I'm a junior and my gpa was hit because I became disabled freshman year, I should be able to get my unweighted past a 3.5 by senior year, would that be enough? (My weighted rn is a 4.2)
I think there’s a lot of other more important factors than GPA, since the grading for it kinda depends on the school district of everything else is in a good spot I think you can put yourself in a phenomenal spot!
@@Galbra1th thanks !!! Fingers crossed, I didn't know where I wanted to go but I just went on a college tour for my school and I fell in love with the school
Hi I'm a current senior hoping to get into UF. I would like to know if you think I'd be able to get in I got a 1210 on my SAT I have a 5.0 weighted GPA I am the current valedictorian of my school I am also student body vice-president and countywide officer for the National Honor Society. During the summer I had an internship at a small company called point blank enterprises and currently work at Publix as a front service clerk. I've already looked up what they are looking for in a student and I pretty much think I meet every criterion except for the test scores, but I wanted to hear your perspective. I have also taken college classes at Broward college and the University of Miami. I also think I have a compelling story
Hey there! I think your experiences look great, but like you said, your test scores are certainly below the mark. UF may look into your area and what the averages are there, but the low score does make it tough.
Hello, i have a 1530 sat, 35 act, 4.62 gpa weighted, 3.94 unweighted, am 6th in my class of 560, took 16 of the 22 ap classes offered at my school and 5 dual enrollment classes . I have 10 extracurriculars including clubs, leadership positions, a small business, and work as a tutor. I was also a national merit commended scholar, 2x ap scholar with distinction and received multiple state awards for being on a competitive winterguard team and marching band. I’m pretty confident I’ll get into UF, but is there anything you know about admissions for Georgia Tech?
I have a 1250 SAT and 4.8 GPA, Ive taken 7 AICE classes (got the diploma :) ), 1 AP, 2 AP in the process, and 2 AICE in the process. I have 500+ hours in band related activities (leadership position, tri-m, marching band, helped set up and run competitions). Outside of school Ive done community band and evaluations. Read somewhere that taking the hardest courses in your school boost your chances so Ill mention the I am one of 3 AP calc BC students. What are my chances?
Would like your thoughts and suggestions. Am starting my junior year in HS. 4.1 weighted gpa but I am taking all IB classes this year and next year so it should go up. Have not taken the SAT but my projected score from practice tests is around 1300. I have 117 hours of community service. I am an Eagle Scout and have been involved in Boy Scouts for 6+ years with numerous leadership positions. Also take part in my schools Science Olympiad team and volunteer as a tutor.
I have a weighted GPA of a 4.5, SAT of 1410, I have 6 AP but, by senior year of hs I will have taken all calc classes, linear algebra, differential equations, and general chem 1 and 2 from my local community college. I have done some volunteering but not a lot and have 2 sport extracurriculars. I was wondering if you could tell me my chances of going to UF for a chemical engineering degree. Thanks you for your honest feedback!
I also have another question about the admission process. I heard from somewhere that the admissions here takes 3 different persons application and chooses the best of them to be admitted. I was wondering if this was true?
i’m stressing myself out so much for no reason like i didn’t even care too much until this month started. so would you let me know how my chances are looking? i know my gpa is relatively low but i’m hoping! 3.5 UW GPA (4.67/6 W) 1400 SAT/29 ACT school doesn’t do class rank President of International Thespian Society, member of DECA, Key Club, HOSA, my local Venture Crew troupe. Currently holding 2 jobs, working 30 hours a week. I would say I have a strong essay!! Lastly, I have 60+ transferable credits from a Florida institution. I should mention i’m FTIC, first-generation student and i’m in-state :D
Hello! I’m a Senior in HS. UF is my dream school. I got a 1420 on my SAT, no ACT. I’m currently involved in 6 clubs and 1 sport. I’m a secretary in 2 clubs. I have a 3.84 GPA and a 4.9 wGPA. 112 hours of community service. I ranked 12/~400. What do you think the chances of me getting in?
I'm applying as a FTIC applicant for Fall 2023 (I'm graduating high school with my AA this December and taking a gap semester). I have a 4.5 weighted gpa and a 3.85 unweighted gpa. I am expecting around a 30 on the ACT (scores haven't come in yet, but I took 2 practice tests and got a 29.75 and 31.75). I'm applying as a dance major, but also have other extra circulars under my belt (piano, singing, art, drama, and guitar). I have over 100 volunteer hours, and even more if I count volunteering weekly at my church. Do you think I have good chances of being accepted?
I’m not sure how much your selected degree is considered. Are your extracurriculars simply you playing on your own or are you part of groups / orgs for your music? Everyone pretty much comes in with at least 100 hours as it’s one of the requirements for Bright Futures, so that’s not necessarily a bonus for you.
@@Galbra1th I forgot to mention I'm homeschooled, and only went to a charter school for 9th grade (where I ranked 1/36). Piano lessons are with a teacher in my area, and everything else is through a homeschoolers co-op.
It’s a solid option for a lot of students who may not otherwise gain admission. In the end you get the same degree and experience so I think if that is an option, it certainly can be worth it to go down that path as opposed to going to a different Florida school. You can still get an apartment near campus and treat the time similar to a traditional student the first semesger
hey! i’m applying this week to UF, my weighted GPA is 4.01, unweighted is 3.77. my sat is 1300. and i am very involved with activities! i am top 25% do i have a solid shot?
Advent Hospital real time simulation (not in gift shop) she is volunteering in Advent OB/GYN dept, school clubs but no research what do you think? do we even apply to BS/MD program or we are asking for too much GPA is Weighted 4.06 Un Weighted 3.5 AP Cources and Dual credits she has
Hi! I got accepted into UF recently and I am now looking at housing. I plan on living in an on-campus dorm, but I’m confused on all the room types. I see things like a single room, private bedroom, two-room double, etc. and this is confusing me. Do you have any info on what each room type generally means? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Congrats on your acceptance! Believe a single room would be a solo room, so more of an apartment style where you have your own room and share a bathroom with other suite mates. I believe the dorm website would have more detailed information!
Hey man, im so happy to see where you are now, im super happy and proud of the hard work you put in! I do have some questions though, im in high school (going into sophomore year), I still have 2 years left till my turn to apply. Do you think I can get in with a 3.8 UW/4.5 W and a 1470-1550 SAT score? (With many ec's and leadership in those club's and a good essay) I really want to get into UF. I love the school alot, thank you so much for all the UF videos you made and now im a huge fan of ALL your content, not just your UF videos.
Hey Alex, really appreciate the support!! Do you already have those scores and that is your predicted GPA? Things can obviously change a bit, but I would say those stats would put you in a good spot if your school is in a tough district (i.e. you’re still top 25th percentile).
By any chance do you know how seniors are viewed if they are graduating with their AA degree? I graduate my community college this April before high school and I have already applied but I’m curious. I have over 100 dual credits done in a psych major, and a 3.9 gpa
I would say it’s pretty neutral. In all honesty UF will want to make as much money from you through credit hours, so if you are coming in with a ton of credits already they might see that as less potential money for them.
Hello! I applied to UF and I find out if I get in next week (So nervous)! The degree I'm aiming for is in Wildlife Conservation. If you can let me know what the chances of me getting in would be like, that'd be helpful. Weighted/unweighted: 5.47 and 3.67 out of 4 (based on summer grades) Scores: 25 on the ACT Rigor: currently an earlier admission student; mostly honors and dual (dual since sophomore year) Hours: 100+ hours Clubs: NHS and FFA Fact: great-granddaughter of a director in Memoriam
Hello! I’m an upcoming junior and plan on attending UF. I took precalc back in 9th grade and ended up doing poorly getting a B and C on semester grades. As a sophomore, I aced calculus and got a 5 on the ap test. Will this have made up for my mistake? I’m still peranlid about it and am not sure how heavy my mistake was. Any advice would be appreciated, love your vids!
Hey! I wouldn’t worry at all. You can obviously see your GPA now, and the effect it had. Fortunately you have plenty of time to make up for it, and you already did that with AP Calc. I really don’t think UF will go back and look and even if they did, they wouldn’t care. They are more focused on cumulative GPA
Hello, I really enjoyed your video…I applied for the fall term of 2023 as a freshman. I have a 1250 Sat with a 3.7 Unweighted gpa on a scale of 4.0 and a 4.4 weighted gpa on a 5.0 scale. I’m also earning and AICE diploma by the end of the year and have over 100 community service hours done. Im a member of my high schools chorus. I’m currently ranked 15th in my class. Ive work as a martial arts instructor for the past year and a half. Do you think I have a chance of getting in?
I think your SAT and GPA will make it relatively challenging as they are both below the average. Your class rank and volunteer hours are definitely a bonus though. I wish you the best of luck!
@@Galbra1th thank you. Also, is there any specific ways that I can show UF that I’m extremely interested in the school such as calling admissions? If so, what could I say or do?
I think their admissions site does say that scheduled campus visits is somewhat factored into their decision, even if it’s extremely minimal. I think if anything that would be the best choice. Calling the office just to say you’re interested does not seem to add any value.
Hi! I’m currently a sophomore in high school and was wondering if my stats look to be on the right track for me to get into UF(it’s been my dream school since 8th grade). -Gpa:5.2 -psat: 1240, scored in the 95th percentile -Class rank:33/363(top 10%) -Intend to take 10/15 AP classes offered(currently taking AP biology) -31.5 community service hours -I took 2 clubs my freshman year(Leo club and world language club) but unfortunately they both had new advisors this year so I switched clubs. I am currently in art club, safe drivers club, and key club-I plan to take them through the rest of high school career -I hope to get a job over the summer. -I plan to apply for National Honor Society next year, as well as possibly run for class office(if not then I will join student council regardless) -I was selected for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence, as well as invited to the National Youth Leadership forum(sadly I could not attend either, but I thought that being invited would be good to add) -I would be the first member of my family to attend college(not sure if that makes a difference) And I think that’s it. I’m thankful for any input!!
Hey there Ryleigh, great job so far you’re crushing it! I think you’re in a great spot. Obviously things will evolve in your next few years, but you’re on the right path. I do think the fact that you’re a first gen college student is very helpful and is worth noting in your application. Let me know if you have any more questions! Keep it up but don’t forget to enjoy high school and this stage in your life!
Hello, I recently decided to apply to UF but realized they are only accepting admissions based on a space available basis at this point. I am regretting badly as I did not have UF in mind until a few days ago. Is there still a chance of getting in with my stats? I am an international student majoring in PoliSci, gpa 3.70/4.00 unweighted, 4.03/4.00 weighted, 10 ap courses taken, as well as 1 ib course at school, with an addition of 3 external ap exams including AP comp gov (4) since it was not offered at my school. 1500 sat, 108 toefl, 4 years in NSDA Debate Club (President), VP of Tutoring club, golf team and some more. Would it be worth a try? Thanks for your help!!
hi there!! im currently a junior who just moved from india, i got a 1100 on my 1st SAT and aiming for a 1300+ on my next one, i know that isn't enough for UF but just wanted to know if UF requires your test history or only your best score? because im afraid i won't be able to significantly increase my score this time and what if it hurts my chances of getting in?
Hey! I don’t fully remember how it works. I do think the most weight goes to your highest score / most recent, so I wouldn’t worry about that too much. I would just say that it’s important to only take the exam again once you feel confident that you’ve made improvements and can substantially score better.
Hey! Could you give me any idea of how well my chance is? I go to an ib school in Florida and have taken 7 aps with the rest either pre ib or ib classes, four dual enrollment classes, 3.9 uw/ 6.2 w, top 2% of my class, 1550 sat. Played varsity tennis four years, fbla national qualifier, 100 hours through tutoring w presidential service award, cofounder a nonprofit aimed to help students interested in stem, and an officer in nhs, class council, and future investors. I’m a bit worried bc my essays were subpar and could have been better, plus I did not have the opportunity to visit the campus to show demonstrated interest.
Hi Mr Cameron Galbraith, I got 8,2/10 overall high school GPA( to US GPA is about 3,4) and a 6.0 in IELTS. How high is my chance to get accepted? Btw I did quite a lot of things during my time at high school back in Vietnam including charity and being a member of the school student council.
Got a 1420 SAT, 12th grade scores are above 90s, Basketball school captain and have got various volunteer activities, Debate club for 4yrs and researcher at a cancer organization, written few blogs and posted 20 artworks on behance, shadowed a doctor- what are my chances of getting in? I'm worried my 9th and 10th grade scores will tank my application (Both from 80-85 percent)
I’d say you’re in a very good spot. 9th and 10th grades wouldn’t weigh you down too much as long as they didn’t wreck your GPA, which is seems like isn’t the case.
I’m going to be a junior in hs this coming august, and last year i got an 1150 on the PSAT but i really think i can get that much higher when i take the actual sat as long as i study for it and such. I’ve taken 4 APs so far and am taking 5 junior year and will probably take 4 or 5 senior year. My GPA is 4.0 unweighted and weighted i’m not really sure. I’m around number 47 out of 750 in my grade for class rank. I play lacrosse and am in several honor societies and other clubs. I have 60 hours of community service, and am going to get that up to 100 by the end of senior year to get the bright futures scholarship. My grandpa and mom went to UF and my parents currently donate to UF each year (not sure if this actually will make a difference but hey maybe it will 😅) what are my chances??? i think i could definitely get my sat to 1300s with work put in before hand. Also on that note any tips on getting those kinda test scores higher? my sat study book just arrived from amazon today
Hello, my gpa is 3.31 on scale 4. If I able to cross 1400+ can I able to get into university of Florida? Dispite of my bad gpa? I have engaged in so many ECAs
Hi, high school senior who already submitted application. 4.31 GPA W(5.33 scale) 1400 SAT superscore 5 APs 7 honors classes School doesn’t give class rank 3 years varsity lacrosse Key Club member National Honors society member Math Honors society member In towns Junior Green team (wrote essay about this) member Worked as general laborer at country club for past 2 summers Been playing AA club lacrosse for the past 10 years Member of Fed challenge Volunteered at local food bank past 3 years Out of state applicant applying to business school. Do you think I have a shot at getting in? Thanks!
I have a pretty good gpa individually, but I messed my 11th grade and I'm afraid bcz of that I might be risking my chances. My overall profile is great too, diverse extracurriculars, volunteering and internships as well. Do I still have chances?
Hey, im currently a sophmore in highschool, and I don’t have any ap classes, but i do take honors classes, do you think i would have a chance of getting in with a good sat/act score and a good gpa and with extracurriculars?
Hi there, I am currently a senior who has already applied to UF. I have a 1440 SAT and 1450 super score and I have a 4.7/5.0 Weighted GPA. I am applying as a business major. I am the NHS Secretary, Varsity Soccer Captain and I have experience budgeting for a non profit organization that also incorporates community service for the youth. I am an out of state student, do you think I am in a good spot for acceptance? I did apply early for all that matters.
I’d say you’re in a good spot. You have solid scores. And I do always feel that good out of state candidates have a much better chance than good in-state.
Hi! I’m a senior waiting on my UF decision and I was wondering what you think of my chances? I have a 3.6 unweighted, 4.5 on 6 pt scale weighted, didn’t make top 25% (but my school is massive and competitive and I also moved states junior year), 1150 sat (horrible but im hoping exc will compensate), founded a club for mental health after enduring gun violence (wrote about it in essays), 100 volunteer hours, NHS, Junior world affairs council (applied for international studies major), French club vice president, Model UN secretary, Wharton global youth program, 4 years varsity cheer and competitive (club) cheer outside of school w/ 2 national titles, and key club. I also have alumni family I mentioned and I’ve visited campus a few times for tours/clinics. I was online because of the pandemic for half of freshman and all of sophomore year before I moved which I mentioned as well. My numbers aren’t necessarily UF standards but I still have hope 🙏🏻
Hello! So I’m currently in the process of beginning my college application and I want to get accepted into UF, for my admissions essay I am considering to write an essay about how video games have helped me form long lasting bonds and how many game stories have taught me life lessons that I have applied on the day to day. Video games have been a part of my life since I was very young and have helped me through rough times. Is this a good idea for an admissions essay?(What I’m planning to study is computer science and cybersecurity)
It's crazy! I graduated from UF in 2001. My current HS sophomore has his sights set on UF and only UF, but now I'm skeeered (he has a 4.5, extracurriculars, etc.). One of his friends who graduated this year at #3 in his class didn't get in!
Yeah it’s crazy how competitive UF is now, especially for those in state! You never really know what separates those who get in from those who don’t. All I can say to your son is to continue to work hard and move up in all extracurriculars. UF looks for strong overall talent, and if you can show that, then you’re in a good spot! Best of luck!
Theres a senior with AICE diploma with Distinction,ACT 30,SAT 1270,GPA 3.8542,weighted 6.1042,Class rank 75/529.Some volunteer hours at library, not many,a monetary donation to the poor for Thanksgiving 2 years ago.Whats their chances?Thank you
Hello, my daughter is really want to get in to UF. She is a senior: SAT 1330, unweighted 4.0, weighted 4.625 out of 5. She took APs and dual enrollment , she rant 5th in her class, over 100 volunteer hours, she is a Vice President of SGA for 2 years Junior and Senior. She is in Competition Dance team… She is really really worried if she can get in🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞
Heyy man, I’m a senior in the IB, with a 1250 on sat, GPA is 3.81 unweighted, and 5.45 weighted. Im in the top 25% 22/192.(11.3%) Have many curricular such as music. Whatcha think of my chances?
I think it will all come down to the strength of your extracurriculars. The SAT is below average, so gotta hope the rest of your application is above average!
@@Galbra1th Thanks man means a lot
Applying tomorrow!
Good luck Chase! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

There are many schools that do guarantee transfer if you get an AA. UF is in the list of schools you can get into
That’s good to know!
Thank you
I want to hear your thoughts:

this is one of the 2 schools i applied to for comp sci. i took a gap year (grad may 2022). i have a 1230 SAT, 3.9 unweighted, 4.3 weighted, graduated as salutatorian from a really small school (117), i was only in one club and was unable to get any hours because i didn’t have any transportation, no volunteer stuff etc. i don’t think i will get in at all.
Yeah I wouldn’t say you have the best chance with those stats in all honesty. I also don’t think the program you apply for makes much of a difference at UF.
@@Galbra1th yeah i don’t think so either, i’m probably gonna attend SF and transfer to UF
That’s what a lot of people do. It’s a smart choice.

Ive got 15 APs, 4.0/4.5 and 1550 SAT but pretty lackluster ECs (retail job, some hobby electronics projects and thats pretty much it) so lets see how it goes, fingers crossed
Best of luck!! The 1550 is stellar!
Take the ACT it’s easier
Great leadership and involvement but 100% need to get scores up. 1100 is not going to cut it. Definitely try out the ACT, that was easier for me.
@@Galbra1thThank you for the feedback. I’ll definitely try the ACT out after I take the SAT again in November. 😁
I really have no clue but hoping you find the resources to figure it out! May need to just call UF admissions.
Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I was just watching your video from 2018, currently a senior applying and I'm so scared haha
Hope the vids helped! Wishing you the best of luck!
Did you get in??

Hello, I am currently a senior and have already applied to UF but I was wondering what you think about my stats...
I have a 1370 superscore on the SAT
4.662 GPA on a 6.0 scale.
top 10% of my class (70/725 students)
For extracurriculars:
I have ten years of Martial arts experience, along with experience leading and teaching martial arts classes so I have leadership experience.
I have the presidential volunteer service award, gold tier (I don't exactly know how good this looks)
I am also the youth event and activity coordinator at my religious organization for over 80 kids, so more leadership experience.
I participated in an internship over the summer relating to business
I am Secretary of the red cross club at my school
I am a member of the Math, Science, and English National honors societies, and i tutor students on campus
I was also a summer volunteer at the Orlando Health Hospital working in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit.
@@Galbra1th Thank you! Do you know if my award that I mentioned is worth anything?
I haven’t ever heard of it.. It certainly won’t hurt you, but can’t say it’ll do too much haha
I am a Gator alumni, I hope they take you, you look good to me

How about a 3.8 gpa and a 1520 SAT score with 160 volunteer hours 3extracurriculars and and 2 leadership roles

The volunteer experience is great, but the ACT and SAT is still quite a bit below the median now.. It’s always worth a shot to apply, but the scores / GPA wouldn’t make me super confident.

I think there’s a lot of other more important factors than GPA, since the grading for it kinda depends on the school district of everything else is in a good spot I think you can put yourself in a phenomenal spot!

Hi I'm a current senior hoping to get into UF. I would like to know if you think I'd be able to get in
I got a 1210 on my SAT
I have a 5.0 weighted GPA
I am the current valedictorian of my school
I am also student body vice-president and countywide officer for the National Honor Society.

I was also a national merit commended scholar, 2x ap scholar with distinction and received multiple state awards for being on a competitive winterguard team and marching band.
I’d say you have a great shot! Congrats! The SAT score could be higher, but I think everything else makes up for it.
Hi, do you know what time of the day the decision is updated in the system? When should I check? Midnight, 8am, noon? Thank you.
I think mine was 6 pm. But it came out a few minutes early so keep your eyes peeled
Sounds like you have great academics! Just make sure to continue building up your extracurricular and you’ll have an awesome chance.

Hi,
What do you think about the UF PaCE program? Would really appreciate your insight. Thanks

@choodwik1928 hi, congratulations. Can u assist me with guidelines on writing letter of interest (motivation) to UF
(With many ec's and leadership in those club's and a good essay)
I really want to get into UF.
@Cameron Galbraith They'll all predicted and are very subject to change, that's all my targets and my projectiles.

Ive work as a martial arts instructor for the past year and a half. Do you think I have a chance of getting in?
I think your SAT and GPA will make it relatively challenging as they are both below the average. Your class rank and volunteer hours are definitely a bonus though. I wish you the best of luck!
I literally can't get in the top percentile I'm in a stem school and most of the kids go to uf anyways tho
Ah that’s tough. What are you now?

@@Galbra1th thank you. Also, is there any specific ways that I can show UF that I’m extremely interested in the school such as calling admissions? If so, what could I say or do?
I think their admissions site does say that scheduled campus visits is somewhat factored into their decision, even if it’s extremely minimal. I think if anything that would be the best choice. Calling the office just to say you’re interested does not seem to add any value.
Hi! I’m currently a sophomore in high school and was wondering if my stats look to be on the right track for me to get into UF(it’s been my dream school since 8th grade).

-I took 2 clubs my freshman year(Leo club and world language club) but unfortunately they both had new advisors this year so I switched clubs. I am currently in art club, safe drivers club, and key club-I plan to take them through the rest of high school career
-I hope to get a job over the summer.
-I plan to apply for National Honor Society next year, as well as possibly run for class office(if not then I will join student council regardless)
-I was selected for the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence, as well as invited to the National Youth Leadership forum(sadly I could not attend either, but I thought that being invited would be good to add)

Hey! I don’t fully remember how it works. I do think the most weight goes to your highest score / most recent, so I wouldn’t worry about that too much.
U get in? Just wandering to see my chances
^^ also 6 AP classes total and mostly honors plus an AP scholar award & global young leadership certificate
Hey Rachel! I understand your stress but I think you’ll be in a good spot!
@@Galbra1th okay thank you so much!! appreciate the video as well!!
@@rachelprice4227did you get in?
I got my acct online
Hi any chances of me getting into uf’s mba program with slightly lower score than their asking requirement?
Pls reply
Thank you
Theres a senior with AICE diploma with Distinction,ACT 30,SAT 1270,GPA 3.8542,weighted 6.1042,Class rank 75/529.Some volunteer hours at library, not many,a monetary donation to the poor for Thanksgiving 2 years ago.Whats their chances?Thank you
Nothing is crazy impressive but think there’s still a relatively good chance
Hello, my daughter is really want to get in to UF. She is a senior: SAT 1330, unweighted 4.0, weighted 4.625 out of 5. She took APs and dual enrollment , she rant 5th in her class, over 100 volunteer hours, she is a Vice President of SGA for 2 years Junior and Senior. She is in Competition Dance team… She is really really worried if she can get in🙏🙏🙏🤞🤞🤞
SAT is relatively low but everything else will give her a good chance!
@@Galbra1th Thanks for replying. Also, she took dual enrollment and got her AA, do you think that’s good or UF likes APs classes better?
Nice
Agreed!
Hows 1300 SAT / 4.72 GPA (6pt scale) & top 10 of class/ 120 volunteer hours / ~4 extracirriculars sound 😭
Class percentile is solid, but the 1300 SAT worries me. Definitely below average for UF. Good luck!
@@Galbra1th if i could get that to say a 1330-1350 would me chances go up significantly? also whatabout say 30 on the ACT?
I don’t think it would change anything too drastically. Would still be below average
