For whatever valid criticism can come from our public obsession with drama in media, there is something profound to be said for the way this beef has successfully educated people outside of the hip hop culture about the value and nuance within hip hop as a valid form of artistic expression for decades. Something strangely poetic and surreal about Pat delivering an anecdote of symbolism and metaphor of Kendrick’s video to Woolie. Is it fueled by Pat’s love of messy public displays of hate? Absolutely. Is the cross-cultural appeal of this beef a win for reflecting on Hip Hop as a layered and academic form of artistic expression? Also true. Maybe this isn't what you were asking but here goes The owl being used to show his career ending is because owls are the mascot of drakes labels/brand hence the ovo looking like an owl idk how they made that owl in the video look so tired and sad tho
Drake's studio OVO uses an owl for its logo (and the name also looks like an owl's face). The owl in the music video is a stand in for Drake so Kendrick's saying two things by having it in the cage: 1. "I own your ass." and 2. "You're gonna get locked up for being a creep."

You also forgot to mention that in the Music video during the"A Minor" line, the video/Kendrick sampled the crowd's reaction at a school dance that played the song. A school dance... with children, all screaming "A MINORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", now on wax.
Imagine an even more valuable lesson then Stranger Danger, from a rapper warning you about other famous people tend to be terrible.
The pop out and music video is like a spirit bomb.
Except it actually works.
This feud is going to end with Kendrick Lamar producing a Citizen Kane style hit piece anti-biopic about Drake that wins several academy awards.
I'm here for it
13:53 I like to think that Woolie got wierd ly reflective about every wildly incendiary hard stance. Pats taken over the years and is just waiting for Crazy Talk to take over and drive the podcast off a cliff
Right before woolie keels over from laughter his face as the joke hits is pure joy
The only way for Drake to get back at Kendrick is melting Tupac’s ring, but that would be suicidal
Yeah I think you just unnecessarily invoke the wrath of more than just Kendrick at that point
*Nothing* would save him if he did that.
Why would he be doing that?
To be petty; but as the other commenters just said, that would do WAY more harm then good. If he did that he seriously will not be safe in Compton, let alone Cali as a whole!
@@Dracobyte
The pregnant pause at the end was great
Achtually 🤓 I think they were really "B-Stomping" instead of C-Walking as Kendrick is more closely related to Piru Bloods than Crips
I’m sincerely amazed this is still continuing, I figured all there was to say was said a long time ago
4:00Also potentially missed opportunity to use a yin yang to somehow accompany the shipping containers, as I always saw drake as the funny inverse of that colour scheme.
Saying that Demar DeRozan “played for the Toronto Raptors” might be underselling it a tad.
He was the literal face of the franchise from 2010 after Chris Bosh left for the Miami Heat up to the point when they traded him for Kawhi Leonard in 2018.
Demar is *still* the all-time leading scorer for the Raptors franchise, and Demar said the first thing he did after he found out he got traded was call Drake to let him know.
Bro i think if you translate it to fighting games, that music video was the cash in of damage into a brutality. Cant wait for, as par said, the Stryker Fatality to come in.
Not only did KDot end Drake, but now God decided to get in on the action by summoning thunderstorms all across Ontario that were so great they were flooding Drake's house with sewer water!
The powers cosmic align with Kendrick via the power of his sick diss incantations
Also true. Will it be validated by the crowd of people who think “i don’t listen to rap cause it’s awful but I’ll listen to (political white rapper with a conservative bias) cause it speaks to me”? Probably not, but fuck them. This isn’t about them anyways.
Life is complicated and I’m happy the quality of Kendrick’s artistry is breaking boundaries within discourse.
If Drake isn’t a pdf enjoyer this would be the most fucked up case of bullying ever
Even if the allegations sre false, Drake still mess with Kendrick's family and friends.

The film version of Not Like Us
I had to double check to see if I was just being recommended an old Kendrick Lamar video by the algorithm before realizing that no Kendrick really did just drop another goddamned diss track on Drake
Not a new track, just a music video.
Mr President, a 20th Kendrick diss track has hit the building.
@@Kango234 I think saying "just a music" video is a bit of a diservice. If the song is pure distilled hatred in audio form, then the video is that in Visual form. Like there are analysis for damn near every little thing in video that all point to how Drake should unalive himself or Compton backs Kdot. Including the slight remix to include A GOOD CHUNK OF COMPTON singing along to how "They not like us".
@@NEEDbacon I didn't mean it like that, I was just letting him know this isn't a whole other diss track.

The coverage I was waiting for
The cover of Adidon is the most authentic Drake has ever been.
Kendrick is a genius man
A Pulitzer award winner.
The one w ill concede to Drake is the line "Kendrick just opened his mouth; somebody hand him A Grammy right now."
I hope they play that one when "not like us" actually wins a Grammy.
@@Ehh..... How's that even a diss fr?
I feel like the only real option for Drake is to go the MGK route and just leave hip-hop.
Who is MGK?
@@Dracobyte Machine Gun Kelly, a sub-par musician who used to be a rapper but then started beef with Eminem and got beat so bad he switched genres to pop-punk.
I heard his new songs tho. He's rapping in them

People say this but MGK still raps
Does anyone else remember Pats first child Ashley, who has been hiding away for years?
2:46, Kendrick was channeling his inner LowTierGod.
The fact DJ Akademiks is still saying Drake is gonna respond like, either Drakes an idiot, or Ak is trying to get his home boy nuked
Akademiks is a fuckin' fool to end all fools
Well Kendrick did say that Ak was looking compromised in 6.16 in LA.
Could be cause of the SA case but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in more ways than just the SA case.
I pray he's right because if Not Like Us was song 4 out of like 10 songs, I'm trying to see what the orbital strike looks like lol
But this is hilarious because DRAKE DID RESPOND. IT WAS JUST SO BAD PEOPLE EVEN IN HIS CORNER FEEL LIKE HE NEEDS TO GO AGAIN. LMAO KENDRICK GAVE NO RESPONSE TO HEART PART 6 IT'S STILL HIS TURN
@@sialiasialis. Just now or like weeks ago before the video for Not Like Us dropped??
Kendrick Lamar really did go to the school of Glassing, presided by Professor Arbiter and walked away decided that the best way to glass a planet is to wipe one man out of existence.
4:27 Woolie's realization is so fucking funny
Man by this point we gonna have drake with broken arms and legs yelling "CURSE YOU KENDRICK!!!! I HERBY VOW, YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!!!"
Nah, Drake could never drop anything as hot as Igon. Not even Tupac descending from the heavens could save drake at this point.
@NEEDbacon promised consort kendrick, with the god tupac
The most diabolical detail is the time on July 4th the music video released. Kendrick dropped the music video whille Drake was attending an all white party in the Hamptons (a party where celebrities wear all white and pretend to be friends with Michael Ruben because he's really wealthy). Kendrick planned for this because he wears all white in the music video and waves to Drake during the "are you my friend, are we locked in?" line.
Imagine Drake being at the colonizer party (where the DJ was specifically instructed not to play Kendrick Lamar for Drake's ego) and everyone at the party is walking on eggshells around Drake sneaking off to the bathroom to watch the music video.
Someone joked that Kendrick is like one of those horror movie cliches where like he's stand menacingly, then disappears when a bus goes by. But THAT DETAIL of wearing all white, addressing Drake directly while he's at a party doing the same and asking that? Legit serial killer stuff.
@@NEEDbacon Kendrick went into a studio earlier this year and recorded an album's worth of material just to diss Drake in one session. You can't underestimate a man with that kind of hate.
Drake just picked the wrong one. I hope he's got the sense to not push for a round 2 but part of me also wants to see him get smacked up by Kenny again in addition to hearing more of the unreleased disses from Kendrick.
@@habadasheryjones Supposedly Drake is releasing stuff and trying for it. But I haven't heard of it, and I doubt anyone but his glazers have. Cause the Beef was done with The Heart pt 6 (The biggest self report set to tape). Kendrick from Compton vs The Nonce from Up North!
I grew up watching Faces Of Death. I mature on early internet vids of messed up stuff.
2 chicks 1 cup, tub girl, 1 guy 1 jar, pain olympics, literal autopsy recordings, Funky Town... And currently follow subteddits that show peope dying on the regular (rip watch people die)...
But folloing the Kendrick Lamar beef battle, then following over to the PushaT beef battle...
Nothing that I've seen on the internet made my flinch and cringe like seeing that drake in blackface picture. Holy shit that was, and still is, horrible.
Definitive proof that while drake is half black, he didnt grow up with any culture. Because I can not imagine any normal black man anywhere so easily put on that make up and then mug for the camera.
What the actual fuck aubrey.
A little bonus to the pic, is he's wearing a Jim Crow shirt, cause apparently that pic came from a marketing photo shoot for friends clothing line (that obviously went nowhere). Now I'm white as paste, and have never had anything to do with "The Culture". But even I COULD TELL YOU, nothing about taking that Pic, was the move. Justin has more to stand on with his dabbling of Kiwi Shoe Polish then Drake did on that pic.
I've never followed Kendrick or Drake that much but the feud has been fucking *fire*
I have also been enjoying the mash up reaction compilations, like J20 channel.
that long silence at the end of the video is more pregnant than pat's wife
Drake’s career isn’t over or anything, but this will always be a black spot on his career. Permanent debuff to Respect Score.
In the sense Drake may continue to do things that are noticed? I guess, but Drake is now Virgil in terms of relevancy to hip hop or rap or really anything. He's at most going to be like that one pic, where he's all alone at a basic booth with a basic banner reading "Drake, Rap Superstar".
Story of Adidon was absolutely insane when it came out
Drake thought he was playing Chess, Kendrick was playing Othello.
The music video was essentially the Stardust Crusaders getting the OVA
Wasnt even pre-Degrassi, Jimmy had already been shot by the time Drake did black face 😂
I dub the last 10 seconds of this video the "Canadian stand-off." Well done Pat.
Rumor has it, the black face thing was him “modeling” his “friends” (Jim Crowe-inspired) clothing line.
"In 2024, all lies will be revealed. That's all. And people who take that the wrong way, understand WHY they take that the wrong way."

@JoseRS1186 😂 Good point, they're trying their best
It’s particularly egregious because Kendrick has close ties with the Pirus, who are Blood affiliated. Like I know they’re from Canada but that kind of slip up could potentially lead to an ass whupping.

Kenny’s the *One Who Knocks*
Missed a few streams - have either of the boys talked about the TF2 banwave/fixtf2 thing already?
I'm gonna need someone to read me in on how an owl is a career-ending anything please
The owl is the symbol of Drake's OVO label.
After numerous times accusing Drake of being a pedo, and saying he deserves to be in jail with Weinstein, Kendrick has now ended his video with a (white faced) owl locked up in a cage.
Maybe this isn't what you were asking but here goes
The owl being used to show his career ending is because owls are the mascot of drakes labels/brand hence the ovo looking like an owl
idk how they made that owl in the video look so tired and sad tho
Drake's studio OVO uses an owl for its logo (and the name also looks like an owl's face). The owl in the music video is a stand in for Drake so Kendrick's saying two things by having it in the cage: 1. "I own your ass." and 2. "You're gonna get locked up for being a creep."
Drake just has to go away on this one, for real. Embrace the escape from the life of a famous person that you've been gifted with, buy a farm, stay away.
In Filthy Frank's video on Soundcloud rappers, he had a bit where he made fun of them for hating on mainstream hip-hop and how they think Drake should die.
You think Kendrick may've watched it and took that line seriously when he made meet the grahams?
Well Kendrick is "what the culture's feeling".

All I can think about is how are people gonna react if Drake ends up offing himself because of all this
Narcissists like drake are almost incapable of doing that, they can’t see people’s reactions and grief if he’s corpsed
So what's the significance of the owl?
ovo is drakes label or his goons or something and it looks like an owl
