Pretty late to make a comment but if you do decide to rework this I suggest doing them in Hardcore so that way you won't see the weapon icon flash between shots.
If you mean the HUD, there are a lot of better video materials to use nowadays, so I can definitely avoid that thing next time. Thanks for the suggestion
Nice sprites... But the sounds are waaaaaay to silent. And the muzzle flash is kinda non existend... MW2019 did something incredible awesome with its weapon feeling... Beefier sounds and the weapons have weight to them... It is not hard to make that happen in doom... Good luck
Thanks Denton, I still don't know of a way to make the sound louder. I did remove the muzzleflash, the sprites are ripped on 17,5 fps and sometimes there're duplicate frames, some of the frame where the muzzleflash appear got cut and thought it wouldn't make sense if some gun have muzzleflash and others doesn't.
@@Zeskofp for the sound I would try to take the original sound from MW 2019... The muzzle flash I thought is separate from the weapon sprite? I don't know modding myself I only have about 1800mods and uncountable maps for Doom 1 and 2 and play them a few hours per day. So I know that it's possible... How much work and how I Sadly don't know.... But if you need help on the zandronum website is a section where you can ask experts how to make it...
@@AndroidFerret I don't have the game; I had to rip it from a video someone else did. Both the sprites and audio. I did think about adding custom muzzleflash, but I have no experience with that; Not too confident it'd end up well. The sprites shown in this video are still not complete, I for some reason forgot to show the Shotgun sprites. But like the MK2 Carbine in that weapon it's obvious that there're some bit that I haven't cropped. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! @@Zeskofp also there exists a mod called cod weapons rip brutal. It's available on moddb. Maybe you can extract the sounds from there. And I am sure there are archives in the www where you can download all kind of awesome weapon. Sounds for free
Hey man, I saw one of your comments under a Paul's gaming Doom video. I asked him why he didn't start uploading Doom Eternal videos yet since he pretty much is the personification of Doom to me (dude's been uploading Doom videos for over 10 years now I think), and apparently he's in a not so great situation financially right now. He's planning on getting the PS4 version when he can afford it. So I had the idea of asking a bunch of people in his comment section if they want to chip in 5€ so we can get him the game for PS4! I'd buy the game myself but I recently lost my job thanks to Corona so I'm not in a great spot financially either. Would you be down for that?
I don't think I'm going to be uploading them as I'm not happy on the results. The animations aren't smooth enough and has many frame skips. Maybe I'll take another try on it in the future, and next time a proper mod for ZDoom.
@@Zeskofp yeah, i think this is a situation where it's okay to make some compromises to align the weapons with DOOM, especially where it comes to the resolution. maybe 'rotoscoping' the design to create a more painterly, illustrated feel is going to come out looking better than something more true to the modern warfare graphics. but I like how since the MW handguns are held closer to the center of the screen, they work better as doom sprites than other custom sprites where they move the gun off to the right
@@madeleineoiseau4676 I don't know how to do that, and that seems like it'd take a hell lot of time. Perhaps someone will have do it for me if that's to be done. I've tried adding sharpen filter to the sprites in the past, and I think it fits quite alright with Doom. Maybe I will do that again.

Guns look more modern than from base game but technically they are all obsolete in time where game takes place

@@madeleineoiseau4676 I plan it to be a full 35 FPS sprites with reloading sequence, there can be hundreds of sprite for a single weapon.
