Trying to prep an ESL lesson for Korean middle schoolers. Their text was about ready-made art, pop art and trash art. Your video helped a ton to get me more knowledgeable on the topic. Thanks!

Grazie sei stata essenziale e comprensibilissima anche se parli in una lingua diversa dalla mia. Spero che i miei alunni capiranno meglio i ready made con la tua spiegazione.

Perhaps this creates a condition in which art can be redefined in a way that creates constructive meaning and purpose in the next moment. It shows us that if art is merely whatever someone designates as 'art', then the term art has no meaning - calling something 'art' is the same as saying that it is an 'existent. This perhaps creates a "nullity' - an open condition where we can add meaning and purpose back into creative function - a definition of art related to constructing active creative transformation of the artist and the observers - this will not be easy - it is art as transformative discipline v. art as self-absorbed free-form personal expression. There are tremendous market forces allied against us.

That famous work of art actually appears to be stolen from another artist, Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven. Look it up.

    readymade-art.
Its like instead of going to a car dealer to buy a car you go into an art dealer to buy ready-made-art for a higher price; same object, but a higher price.
BMW 3M can be ready-made-art for a higher price in an art gallery.
Ready-made-art is like the Banana on the wall. As soon as you leave the art dealer is worth shit or the same price as any supermarket selling bananas.

If Readymades are considered art, why shouldn't images generated by AI and chosen by humans be considered as such?
