I know EXACTLY what you mean about feeling empty. We just layed my Mom to rest after having her ashes in my home for a year but my Mom lived with me for 4 yrs before she passed and we talked everyday and I miss her sooooo much. My Daughter did ask for a small amount of her ashes to make me a necklace... which is now my most prized possession ❤

My mom is in an urn on my kitchen counter. I used to have her urn next to my fireplace, but with clumsy dogs, I decided to move her. Her urn doesn't look like a typical burial urn; and I love having my mom in my kitchen with me. Our family doesn't do funerals or coffins...everyone is cremated. But we usually have places where the person wanted their ashes sprinkled. My sister thought we could sprinkle her ashes up in the mountains in N. Idaho where our entire family grew up,, and where my step-father's ashes were sprinkled. We used to go camping up there and he loved hunting and fishing there. But I said, Mom hated the snow, and the snow gets 2-3 ft deep up in the mountains. So mom's on my kitchen counter, enjoying sunny Texas. I don't think I could ever put mom's ashes in the ground. I'm sure it's a hard decision for you to make to let go of your son, and it may be as comforting for you to know you've kept a part of him close...and maybe he likes that in some small way he's still part of your family. I am a Christian, so I don't know everything the Lord allows, but He knows our hearts and what we need. Pray and see what the Lord would have you do. And as for that rude person on the prayer video (which I'll go watch in a few minutes)...there are so many truly evil people online who never have a kind word to say to anyone. I think they're just broken tools of the enemy lashing out. They're judgmental, accusatory, self-righteous, and think they're hidden behind a computer screen. Keyboard jihadis....they're everywhere. But we know that the Lord sees exactly what they do....

I haven’t checked in with you for a bit- health issues, losing a family member and just life getting in the way! It’s always stressful and sad to lose someone and no one has the right to make comments to upset you! You are a strong woman and your videos are honest and so enjoyable- it’s good to hear that you are moving on after these sad events. I learned not too long ago- after my daughter finally left her abusive boyfriend- that you almost have to feel sorry for people who are mean or abusive because that shows that they are hurting from something in Their life ( kind of like “ hurt people- hurt people”). It is better to keep moving forward and being thankful for the good in your life. Amen!
