hi! This video was so helpful and fun. I was wondering on which cricut machine to get, im a beginner and on a budget. Wanting to start up my small business but taking it slowly. Im more towards doing mirrors so that would require all sizes of stickers letters, big small, extra big
what sort of machine should I opt for in this case?
    Thank you :)

      Hi there,
So glad you enjoyed the video, thank you for commenting.
With regards to the type of Cricut machine for your needs… it sort of depends on your definition of ‘extra big’. The largest width any of the machines can give you will be 13”. But that’s only with the newest machines that use the Smart vinyls, so the Cricut Maker 3 and the Cricut Explore 3. Those can make single design cuts as long as 12ft using the Smart vinyls.
It sounds like the Cricut Joy would be immediately out for you given its petite size. Whilst it has the ability to cut decent length it likely doesn’t have the width for your needs - although it’s the most budget friendly machine.
Also worth noting you can get refurbished machines from the Cricut website at discounted prices, in case that helps with the budget.
If you’re keen to do more than cut vinyl or card, such as cut basswood, fabric, deboss, engrave…then you’ll need a Maker machine, not the Explore. But if you don’t see yourself wanting to do those things, which sounds like isn’t your intention from what you said, then you should be good with the slightly cheaper Explore.
I hope that helps a little. But do let me know if you need anything I’ve said clarifying or if you have any other questions.
Good luck with your small business.

Hey! Your video was such a huge help, thank you so much. I do wonder if I could find this vinyl in a different color or does it only come in a few colors? I needed blue, but I only saw it in select colors. I’m in the US.

Hi Carmesha, I’m so glad you found our video helpful, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a comment.
Currently I believe Cricut window cling only comes in white, black, orange, red and frosted. So, as you say, not a huge range of choice as yet unfortunately.
I guess a way around this could be to use a blue from their ‘removable premium vinyl’ range (I’ve just had a look on the US Cricut website and looks like there’s a blue one on sale at the moment!)...I’ve not personally tried using it in this way, but theoretically it is removable so you should be able to...it’s supposed to be removable without residue for up to 2 years (from memory). Might that work for your project?

    Is that removable?

Hi Cynthia, yes, window cling is entirely removable. And even reusable! I made icicles for my windows at Christmas and have removed and reused them no problem 👍🏻

@@BrideSociety I appreciate your response. Do you mind sharing where the window cling can be bought? I’m new to the cricut world and barely know what htv is. 😁

Hi Cynthia, no problem, I totally get it! There’s a definite learning curve when you start out with Cricut. You should be able to find the links in the video description box when you tap the drop down arrow. I bought mine from Hobbycraft here in the UK but if you’re elsewhere, I have also included links to the window cling for a some other locations, which are also in the description box. I hope that helps 🙂. Happy to help if you have any questions / video requests.
