Hey I actually went and bought a 2020 venture last year 2021 because of your videos and man I love this bike and heat isn't an issue no different than any other bike I've owned handles like a dream, and tons of power!
I was at that show in Long Beach Paul. I saw your bike and it was filthy! LOL. I had no idea it was your bike or i would have introduced myself as a you tube follower. Safe travels!
Thank God in the two and a half years I commuted between Mobile, AL and Houma, LA on my V-Star 1300, I NEVER had to ride in freezing precipitation! I got delayed for about 6 hours once because of icy roads, but once the temperatures got to the upper 30's I got underway. I still need to do BRP and SkyLine on my Eluder next year. You can have the West/Southwest! I prefer green grass and trees! Happy Thanksgiving!
Great video of a cool route to the west side. Very jealous with 12” of snow on the ground and it expected to be the coldest thanksgiving on record here in Pa. safe travels and happy thanksgiving Paul.
MIKE EYKAMP it’s all in the video! No breakdowns. No concerns with the bike. Two sets of spark plugs, two air filters, 6-8 oil changes, 6 sets of tires. 1 valve check. Front brake pads. Two washes. One wax. Lots of gas. No repairs or warranty issues.
Glad to see you are doing well LongHaulPaul. I hadn't seen a post from you in some time. I hope the Venture is treating you well. I was curious of your fuel mileage with that machine? I ride all year round but I usually park it when it snows, Had to let the bike sit two days this past week, with the unexpected 10 inches of snowfall here in northcentral PA. But that was the first time I didn't ride into work since last March I think. I envy you and your time on the road, Godspeed and safety on the roads.
Paul, I test rode a venture and my left leg under the thigh was very hot. Do you experience this problem that Yamaha is aware of? Do you have any recommendations to eliminate the exhaust temperature on the left side?
Michael Frey I do not have heat issues. Many people do not realize there are vents that booed to be open, as well as an additional lower vents available from Yamaha which help in extremely hot weather. Last week I spend 3 10 hour days in 100° heat in AL, no more heat than any other bike I’ve owned.
I used to say the same thing; was dead against pulling a trailer behind a bike. But this spring I ended up buying one with the intention on hooking it to my 2015 Victory CCT. what is your view about dark siding (car tire on rear)?
HotrodADV71 I have an older Aerostich liner that was rewired with carbon by Phenix Flaming Heat. A gerbing as a spare. I’m using Macna gloves that were customized with more heat, but carry three other sets of heated gloves as well.
@@longhaulpaul hi wassup. sounds good and amazing how you see so much and been everywhere. I'm from RI but in OH now hey I'm the guy that got the 94 black PC-800. Talked to you the other day at the IX center.
I have been riding a motorcycle for almost 10 years now and there's something I don't understand , people ride motorcycles because they say they love the scenery from the back of a motorcycle... But then they ride so fast that you can't see anything for watching the road running 60 70 80 miles an hour?
the goblin When I reach my goal of a million miles for MS and if my disease doesn't take my mobility from me, I'll have some time to fart around. For now, I'm riding a motorcycle as transportation to events I am speaking or presenting at.
That's a hell of a ride to do solo and at that time of year. My hat's off to you Sir.

Cabana Mike yes, I know. I rode through PA to get home. It’s 11 now here in NH. Made it home just in time.
I wonder what concerns and or break downs and maintenance you performed in the 60k ? if you logged everything? please share?

Riding through that freezing rain separates the men from the frozen T.V. dinners
Great Job Paul!
This guy can ride.
Hey Paul what’s your favorite bike to ride all around just curious?
Too bad you didn't stop in Oatman when it was up and running. Must of been there very early in the AM. Any burros?
Keep up the good work Paul. Thanks for this. How are you enjoying the touring in this bike vs the super ten?
ExpeditionaryRanger
I enjoy them both. Totally different but each can be ridden pretty hard without worry.
Tombstone, recommend you stay at the Tombstone Bordello, it actually a good B&B. Walking distance of town.

Scott C depending on speed and temp, 30-45mpg. On the highway at a good clip I’m getting about 37mpg.
Hey thanks for the feed back, that’s not too bad, maybe aerodynamics could be improved some

You should do a time laps.
Paul would you pull a trailer with this bike?
Nick Heinz
I wouldn’t pull a trailer with a truck!
But, many Venture owners have added a hitch and do

I want a slice of America. Paul, can you a ribbon of road grime off your bike and send it to me?
I like the in front of bike video POV
What was your daily mile average
Red Horse Garage the ride out was 4,000 miles over 4 1/2 days. The ride home was 3200 miles over 2 1/2 days.
Longhaulpaul Amazing given weather. You are truly committed
Red Horse Garage , or should be committed.
