At home this child never stopped crying, won’t feed, won’t sleep and are many time shaken, hit, thrown etc. that will kill the baby. So if on drugs baby should have been left in foster home.
That woman hasn't picked her face up and made eye contact with anyone, except for the rage tantrum she threw with the prosecutor. She cried for herself and herself alone. This is so disgusting.
@Sara Allison Yes, but there are certain crimes that inmates _DON'T_ like/tolerate... Crimes on babies is one of them... i.e, sex crimes/murder of children, _especially_ a barely 3 month old baby.
@Sara Allison shes already said she had to be seperated from other inmates. Since the women tell her to hang herself everynight or they will kill her themselves.. but yes my sister works in a womens prison their is a lot of baby killers on womens prisons.
That prosecutor looked absolutely exhausted but she was exactly who Dylan needed to fight for his justice and she did exactly that and I really hope she's okay and taking care after all this. As for the fostermom, I hope she's okay and providing other vunerable children a home.
I just hope he finds people who care about him and that he finds some semblance of happiness. This trauma will follow him. But with enough help and care he could move on with his life.
The Judge should of made it part of their sentencing that they can no longer have contact with him and their parenting rights taken away immediately forever!! They’ve already done enough damage to this poor boy . Him and his now deceased brother deserved so much better than these two piece of shits!!! I pray now that they are locked away he will get counseling and thrived in his mew life. ♥️
Lisa Simpson using the statement “passed away” is not a cause of death. It’s simply a nice way to say “someone died”. Therefore, it was used today in court by the defense to lesson the impact on what these monsters did. They murdered their child. The defense will never use the phrase murdered. Using “passed away” is a lie. He was “killed” He was “murdered”.
Greatest respect for the judge's decisions in this case and for explaining why he made them as he did. No nonsense, just good sense. What a relief to see this! Thanks for posting.
The fact that the "mother" stopped crying after the judge said he found no genuine remorse from the mother, it's like the "mom" thought ok I can stop acting now.
I can see right through this. Neither of them are remorseful. The father is angry that he is being held accountable, and the mother is trying to get out of a life sentence. This is so sad.
I'm sorry, but if it was up to me after they were sentenced a week later I'd enforce the death penalty. Instead of these monsters living out thier lives not paying bills free food, cloths, roof over thier head, NO! ONE WEEK! THEN THE GET THE CHAIR! LETHAL INJECTION! EITHER WAY, 1 WEEK!
Also when the foster mother was speaking. She didn't even look up. All she had to do was give baby Dylan back to her. Could have been such a different ending.

I don't know how anyone could hurt a little baby who can't defend itself, what monsters. I’m just hearing about this and am so heart broken. How could child services not notice a dying baby. Since it was stated he passed a couple of hours after they left. Those parents have so many issues that I can’t begin to comprehend. Baby Dylan should have stated with his foster mom. She’s a real mom with live in her heart. Bless her. I pray the older son continues to do well in live.
I was diagnosed with uterine cancer when I was 26. I can't have children. People like this make me so sick. I am so hurt by this. Having children is a privilege. A gift from God that not everyone on earth received. Shame on them. Bless the foster mom. She made me cry. This whole thing has broke my heart. At least he had 1 mommy who loves him. And it wasn't the bitch that birthed him.
I’m so sorry you can’t have children! For you to have to watch these parents kill their little baby when you would have loved with all your heart to have a child must kill you. God bless you!
It hurts so bad to watch people like this have kids so effortlessly and then discard them like trash. It's a different kind of hurt for women like us who will never have that experience. We can adopt or foster in some cases but never get to feel a baby kick or have morning sickness or put the baby in your arms after 9 months. It just sucks so bad.
You didn't just fail as a mother, you failed as a HUMAN BEING !! Wild animals don't even treat their young so cruel. I love that the judge saw through her crocodile tears and saw she had no remorse. Painful watching her days on end performances. To the lady Prosecutor ~ THANKYOU !!
You'd be surprised how many animals will kill babies and others of their own species, just like humans do. We kept ducks for a while and you had to separate the mothers and babies from the fathers. The males frequently killed the ducklings and not by accident either.
I agree Tallouse. The prosecutor was excellent. I fell so much sadness for the foster mother. I hope this doesn't spoil her thoughts of continuing to foster children. She is what this broken system needs
I agree with you, she was apparently "bothered" with the case, so to speak. There was a moment when the prosecutor was speaking, and she had her tongue against her cheek, honestly, it gave me chills, she looked ready to jump on someone's neck. Work given and done with mastery. My dream is to have people like that in this country where I live.
People like this prosecutor are a rare breed. She could, no doubt, make a fortune as a corporate lawyer, but instead she fights the good fight. Remember her when people speak badly about the profession. The good ones do very worthwhile things.
It wasn't just murder it was torture. All abusers do this to their babies but usually know when to stop so they don't kill. She wasn't even smart enough to know that.
You may have been legally his "foster mom" but you WERE HIS MOM. Baby Dylan knew LOVE in your arms. You will always love him. For those few days, he was HOME. Bless you- and please, please keep loving the babies who need you.
Why is it that Children's services thinks that reunification is always in the best interest of the child? Until this changes, the poor children don't have anyone in a position of authority advocating for them, and situations like this will continue to happen. How many more babies will have to die before the system realizes that Reunification is NEVER in the children's best interest when methamphetamine is involved.
I was a Foster parent for yrs. No the best interest for the child falls way under the radar. It is very sad. Sometimes the home they place the child is far worse than the home they are leaving. A lot of the children I know have a great case for lawsuits. I am glad I was able to make a difference in some cases.

Can we talk about how efficient all of this is? They finished testimony the same day the jury returned and sentencing was handed down. That’s impressive. Well done, Ohio.
That’s because it was open and shut. The jury is like why are we here? She did it, he helped her do it, let’s find them guilty and go home. What took so long is reading all that legal stuff.

It should but they are sooo understaffed with people that don’t have enough training in the field to manage cases on their own. Additionally, CPS consistently focuses on reuniting families and ends up putting them back in the hands of abusers and drug users because they think it’s more traumatic for kids to be in foster care. It’s why we see sooo many issues. They also tend to NOT take the bigger picture into consideration. If a young child always has bruises and isn’t old enough to verbalize what happened, the case workers just take the word of the parents. CPS needs more money to staff more case workers and they need to redo guidelines to have new case workers working with senior and experienced case workers instead of being on their own so soon. They need cops to get involved quickly when a child isn’t produced or when a parent the child doesn’t live with voices concern.

Yes, but there are certain crimes that inmates _DON'T_ like/tolerate...
Crimes on babies is one of them... i.e, sex crimes/murder of children, _especially_ a barely 3 month old baby.

Using “passed away” is a lie. He was “killed” He was “murdered”.
The poor little kid was thrown away.

Yes... It was a very touching statement. I think the judge tried hard not to cry after such words. What a sad situation.
She broke my heart
When the Prosecutor said “ the pain the child was put through on his last days on this earth” he should had said “the pain that the innocent baby boy experienced since the moment he came into this world he immediately began suffering due to so many different substance withdrawals, he truly never experienced a moment of joy of this earth b/c of the defendant”
Heartbreaking speech from the only person who loved that baby his foster mom 😪🤧🤧
Absolutely!!! I havent seen the dad even shed one tear!!??
CPS fails another infant/child - the foster mom should still have Dylan ...
So sad ov a case its a pity foster mam did not have full coustody
Susan Strait exactly. I saw Jessica, not “mother”, shed ONE but only for herself right before sentencing.
Janet P so heartbreaking poor little angel..
Life + 32 years without the possibility of parole for the Mom of the year. Fitting. Dad 50 years to Life. Congratulations Prosecutor 👍
@@beatleschick I think she was just saying good job to the prosecutor for how she handled the case and got the jury on her side which gave the judge all the counts on each person
@@beatleschick all the times add up to 47 years . That’s why 47-life
The parents should have NEVER GOTTEN THAT CHILD BACK!!!!
Ya think?
Exactly
I agree cps should be held accountable as well
Poor young man & little baby. This is just heart breaking.
BOTH should have gotten the death penalty! That poor baby didn't get a chance to live his life, so why should they? 🤬🤬🤬
The foster mom's victim impact statement broke my heart. I wish so much she would've had a chance to raise the baby. She would've given him a great life.
I agree! That had me crying so hard and ive never met any of them!! This poor beautiful perfect human being was treated like garbage and i will never understand how anybody could even consider doing this to any body but even worse your own flesh n blood!! They should have takn that baby at the hospital n never give him back!!!! The nurses n staff could see how much she cared abt that baby that shld have been a huge red flag! If she doesnt care rt now do ya think she is going to when she takes him home???? I just cant understand anything like this n how anybody has it in them to do this!!!! Rip lil guy!! Jesus has you now and you are loved and will always be in my thoughts!
@@susanluvsrobbyfox You dear lady, said such a heartfelt statement. God bless your compassionate 💝 In Christ's love..🌹🌝✝️
me too. so sad that she didn't get to give him the life he should have had. and Daniel Jr should have been removed long ago too. such a horrific situation for everyone who genuinely loved those children unlike their so called parents.
@Michelle doe that's being too strung out to give a damn
Michelle doe Thankfully we don’t have to judge. The jury already did. Don’t EVEN start to attempt to justify this heinous act by using Post Partum Depression. Literally HUNDREDS of women deal w this issue and DO NOT KILL THIER BABIES.
The foster mom's statement had me ugly crying.
I'm a mom and I can't even imagine intentionally hurting my children... Disgusting.
Me too 😭
Me too 😭😭😞
I'm in uncontrollable tears
Me as well
who is the "foster mom" name... I'm trying to follow this....
She can hide her face all she wants, she’s still going to die in jail.
@Desiree Hall & that's being kind
lets hope
Crystal Yeary Exactly! 🤞
At least she feels shame and remorse.
Drug is an awful thing, I don't understand why it's not wildly admitted what drug and alcohol play in crimes.
Drug dealers should be punished with the capital punishment. They are the root of so many misery.
@@verabolton did someone force the drugs into her system? Or was it voluntarily done? It’s funny how a woman makes excuses for another woman. Many people callously murder others while on drugs. That’s why drugs are illegal. There is NO excuse for what she did. You can live in fantasyland and blame the drugs, but it’s all on her. She beat this poor baby over a long period of time. That is not drugs. That is depravity towards another human. A baby, at that. Let’s hope you’re never on a jury where a woman is on trial.
I don’t see how the father is not as guilty as wife. He agreed to supervise wife and didn’t plus took active role in disposing of body and ever made any efforts to report what the child was suffering from including his gruesome burial. He was fully complicit with baby’s death and took no actions to stop the abuse
I feel like the mom has been fake crying through this entire trial. I don’t see any actual tears.
I love the sentence this monster received..The judge nonstop talking..excellent. and they will pay prosecution costs..great, monsters.
Absolutely. All fake tears.
the only real tears were for herself at the end , none for that poor baby... I just cant even imagine it. Monster is not a strong enough word for her...
She feels sorry for herself not the baby boy
My thoughts exactly 😡
"Despite her elocution here today, I find that, throughout these proceedings, she has shown no genuine remorse."
Judge saw right through those crocodile tears... 😎👍
I did notice she only had actual tears when she was sentenced, not when she was crying and mewling on the witness stand. I almost couldn't stand watching her lie and lie and lie on the stand. apparently she thought, "I don't remember" was a get out of jail free card. Sorry, I'm talking about another video than this one.
@@steveb4662 When you say another video, are you talking about the one from the same trial where the same defendant gives evidence? If so, no apology needed my friend. I imagine the judge was referring to that in his comments, too.
Totally agree - I saw no real tears from her, either.
It’s ALLOCUTION. Just thought everybody should know!
@@voraciousreader3341 No... It could be either.
Allocution would make sense in reference to her monologue, but she offered in it neither advice nor warning, so it wasn't a standard allocution. Elocution, on the other hand, would refer to the way she has spoken and presented herself throughout trial - the phrases she has chosen, for example (which others on this thread have already pointed out came from her lawyer rather than her).
I went with the latter because the judge wasn't hugely clear which he meant and, to me, elocution makes more sense.
@@nancyvandermeer4480 Totally agree. Did you see when their son testified (I think it was on another video, but same trial)? Both parents were bawling as he took the stand, until they realised that he was going to tell the truth and not cover for them. Then the tears were switched off. Immediately.
Awful, awful people. I'm so grateful that the eldest child is now safe and I hope he gets all the support he needs to get through this. RIP Dylan x
My heart broke when the foster mom read her statement I cried my eyes out.... poor little baby.
May Baby Dylan Rest in Peace. 💖🙏🙇🏼♀️
Robin Bird 62 yes, CHANGE BABY DYLAN’s NAME TO DYLAN BOWLING.... MAYBE EVEN HIS FIRST NAME. THE BOWLINGS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN TO BURY THIS POOR BABY BUT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE GROVES AND CPS🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
That was heartbreaking
Robin Bird, I cried my eyes out too. My heart breaks for that poor tiny little baby! So sorry for the foster mom too. May little Dylan Rip 🙏, hes in the hands of Jesus now.
Especially when she was his voice and said that 'my purpose is to save others...' that was difficult to listen to.
😢😢😢😢
“I sentence you to life without the possibility of parole, plus 32 years.”
&…
“I will give you credit for the 213 days you’ve served while in custody awaiting trial.”
Like that’s gunna help her. 😂 They deserve it.
CPS should be prosecuted along with the parents. EVERY TIME.
there are so many people who failed that little baby... not just the parents... drug dealers should be on death row too...
Maybe in this situation...but no, not every time. Not every time is it obvious. If this were the case NOONE would do this job.
@@amandao9869 you make a good point. I was implying when it can be proven that they ignored opportunities to help the child and didn’t. It happens a lot more than it ever should.
Those aren't parents... they are murderers.... parents love and protect their children
If you want to prosecute ppl trying to help you won't find help any more.
At what point do we prosecute child protective services? We NEED to start. Should have started years ago.
Seems like cases involving “child protective services” fail constantly. They need to get that under control at some point in history, right? Whoever thought it was a good idea at CPS to give Dylan back to either one of them should go to PRISON too. The issue starts with CPS, PERIODT!!!
Rest In Peace baby boy 🚼🦋🍼🧸💙
@@sassysav6859 it’s the same in Oz, child services just ignore repeated calls by numerous people.....and the parents are druggies, dealers, growers, never worked a day in their life, on welfare in government housing they trash the house, scream, bash each other, foulest language ever, constantly fight, when cops come ...nope everything’s fine ....they never get kicked out the house just keeps getting repaired....children finally taken away when they left three under five, one a baby, alone in the house and went out....oldest one jumped over fence to another yard “to play” that’s the only reason they were found out...now pregnant again....number seven ..... ! They sure know how to work the system even after going to jail .....
i agree....
The issues start with parents who don’t want children! As we speak, pick up the phone and call CPS and ask them if they have enough foster homes to place kids, they don’t! Some people just shouldn’t have kids!, the issue starts there!
What a True Comment! ....... & a VERY Moving One.💔🧸🙏
When will CPS be held accountable ? This should have NEVER HAPPENED. Dylan should have NEVER gone back there 😞
SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Two women who worked for Scioto County Children Services have been indicted on counts of endangering children.
The prosecutor confirms the charges stem from their former employment at Children Services and cases where children died.
Lisa Thomas, 56, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, is facing endangering children charges in connection with two separate cases. The first is surrounding the death of 2-month-old Dylan Groves. The second deals with the death of 5-year-old Annabell Greene.
Renee Ginn, 54, of Garrison, Kentucky, is facing counts of endangering children and tampering with evidence. Her charges stem from the death of Annabell Greene.
Thank you Andrea Bowling for your compassion, love and caring to baby Dylan! You provided little Dylan with much love, nurturing & attention

This poor little baby ❤️🙏🏼
Why did they kill him? So terrible.
You're a hero
After watching this I squeezed my 2 young children with all my love. This hurt my heart so much. God bless young Dylan Groves.
I know what you mean! I was blessed to have one child and I wanted one more so bad but couldn’t get pregnant again no matter how hard I tried. I even tried Invitro-fertilization and still couldn’t. I would have loved to have adopted this baby boy.
Amen
I remember watching the American Justice about Susan Smith and my son was probably a few months old at the time. And as soon as it was over i called his mother and said “Kiss our son for me”
Right. Exactly the same thing for me.
A infant should know nothing but unconditional love and be held and loved as much as possible. Literally nothing else but all their needs met and love.
It's so sad that these parents didn't get that.

I can not believe that DCFS pop out this child back into the home of a known addict. Where in the hell are their child neglect and child endangering charges.
It's done a lot, everywhere..
Not in Texas. You or baby test positive and you will lose your rights. You can get the child back if you go through several steps. I know a girl who has lost all 7 of her children. Last 2 she lost because baby tested positive for morphine. She refused to do what she needed to get those two angels back. She was allowed to call and check on them but no physical contact at all. Couldn’t even visit family who ended up with the girls. We don’t play with that crap here. She sure uses the loss of all her children as if she never did anything wrong. Now the girls are with one of their sisters dad and family. “Mom” now prostitutes herself on the streets for drugs. Never has called or tried to straighten her life out for her children. Makes me sick.
Yes, especially after only 12 days with the foster parent.
I’m a recovering addict and even in my worse addiction I never hurt my kids. That’s a complete cop out she’s a monster . Addiction had zero to do with it
Man that foster mom's statement had me hard crying. Bless her for caring for that baby the way she did.
Why was this child EVER RETURNED BACK TO THESE 'SO CALLED' PARENTS?? There has got to be stronger rules in this area!!
It’s in Scioto county. That says everything to me. I live nearby this county
It's because of CPS, DHS, or any other name that child protective services go by depending on the state. The state child protective services screwed up their own case as shown by a state investigation of this particular case.
damselcausingdistress 81 that maybe true but I can bet you southern Ohio is the worst part in all Ohio
