Before mv release HappyFace was showing us couple mystery codes which were related with story line, they were normal girls attended to abroad school( that's why mv was filming in France) but one day they see mystery raibow which gave them some magic powers. And now official story line comfirmed by Dreamcatcher members in interview- after killing spider( spider is magical creature in native indian beliefs) they release on themself a curse which change them from innocent girls to this evil and wicked form. So in song you hear this fighting between their old good sides and new evil but after all evil side win and they all become nightmares. Also, I have seen Dreamcatcher refereed to as the 'dark' version of GFriend and I think it's awesome. They both have knife-like choreo so I would love to see a collab from the two. Like good side won after all and in You&I they escape except of Yoohyeon and then lived normal to What but Yoohyeon kept reminding about her and eventually somehow (maybe unintentionally) dragged them back in dreamworld and tried to unite them to face anything that will happen together? Like it make sence for me. All stuff with evil vs. good them also make sence because of I remember that it's Dami who played person with candles who walking in this house, who switched the light off and whose hand closed Gahyeon eyes. And maybe JiU was the last who remains good and she's closing the gate to not let anybody get out 'cause they all are doomed and dangerous to the world outside.

I'm not sure about how much they have to say about the storyline, but I can answer the question about their music taste a little bit: They have short behind the scenes clips called "Dreamcatcher's Note" (still hard to find subbed, but some are on 7 Dreamers channel) and what I have gathered so far, they listen to a lot of different music - a lot of older songs as well - but there is a dominant amount of *Fallout Boy*, *One ok Rock*, *Babymetal*, *FT Island* and of course *Maroon5* (they even covered "Lucky Strike" from Maroon5). So my theory: After Minx didn't work at all, they asked them what type of music they would feel good with and that's the sound we are getting now. :)
I really hope DreamCatcher keep this style throughout their career because they fit this style so well! Redebuting Minx was the best choice Happy face entertainment has ever made! (P.S You dance very gracefully lol)

I think someone explained why the music has like a transition to happy to depressing because the mv also tells how the girls were before when they were still innocent and strange things happened when jiu picked up the cursed spider that began to corrupt them and turn them into nightmares, at first it's poppy and bright and as the mv progress and corruption of the curse began manifesting to the girls the music also becomes dark and heavy. it's a really cool thing.
Yes Siyeon 2:40 had contributed on a lot of the choruses on this album and Yoohyeon (the one who burnt the spider) had some contribution as well. Everything DC does has meaning with costume, chords, setting etc behind them. It's unthinkable how much effort HappyFace put into this group.

In re-listening to this song I'm beginning to like it more and more. The musicality is really interesting with the changes which was kind of jarring at first. However, the more that I listen to it the more I like it. "Chase Me" is still my favorite personally because it has more whole rock feel.
Goodnight is still my favorite DC song, but I like how this one sticks to the storyline, since it's a prequel. I haven't read the lyrics yet, but I think it might be a song about a destructive relationship, based on some of the individuals lines I've read. To me, it seems like they were drawn into witchcraft, but that doesn't explain how they died. So, I think the next MV will focus on that. Btw, I hope you can listen to the rest of album; I think you might really like it. Some of them do listen to rock music, mainly the main vocalist Siyeon (black/gray-tinted hair). Siyeon and the lead vocalist Yoohyeon (pink and blonde ombré hair) actually wrote the chorus for a few (if not all) the songs on this album, but as far as having input on the concept, I'm not sure if they're involved in that or not.
