    I am from Africa, they tell us the gospel brought to us was incomplete. That we need deliverance bse our forefathers made covenants with darkness, and things don't pass away automatically.

      Greetings. Thank you for your comment. The Gospel we have received is complete. In Jesus we have salvation. Let Him lead you and guide you. Do not fear. God bless you.

      It’s not that the Gospel is incomplete, it’s that we are expected to work out our own salvation:
      “So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.”
      ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
      The work of Christ is completed on the cross, but our work is not completed.
      “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
      ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭ESV‬‬
      Here the Word shows that it is possible to be submitted again to spiritual slavery.
      People who have never encountered true witchcraft simply do not understand how it really works. I have worked with many former witches, I’m also in Africa, and your pastors are correct, people do often need extensive deliverance following salvation, especially so if there is witchcraft in the family.

      @@devondeswardt6239 if they need "extensive deliverance" after salvation wouldn't that imply the blood of Jesus alone is not strong enough? I can understand if that personally then will fully sinned or continued doing witchcraft after they were saved, but if was in the past family line and they've repented of all of that, why do they need another step of deliverance of the blood of Jesus covers ALL?

    • @devondeswardt6239
      @devondeswardt6239 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrmwezez5116 good question. The Blood of Jesus absolutely is enough! But that doesn’t mean you don’t still need to go have the fight. When you came to Christ did all of your problems suddenly disappear? Were you suddenly never sick again, or never angry or lustful ever again? Does everyone immediately quit smoking or drinking or whatever else it was they were struggling with? Of course not. Does that mean that The Blood is not enough? Of course it doesn’t. The Blood can and does overcome all, but it is our job as believers to go and apply it. This is as true for witchcraft as it is for lust or addiction or anger. You need to go and work through your salvation, empowered by The Blood of Christ.
      That’s all deliverance is really. It’s applying the freedom The Blood offers you

    • @mrmwezez5116
      @mrmwezez5116 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@devondeswardt6239 I agree in the application, but why isn't fasting or seeking God yourself or cutting off the works of the flesh enough then? Why do you need to go to a deliverance minister or have another "step" of deliverance?

    This phrase from Ezekiel is not referring specifically to the concept of generational curses. Remember that the book was written during the Babylonian exile. The phrase was being used as a bitter complaint about the trials of exile, not about generational curses.
    We see in Daniel 9, which was written several hundred years after Ezekiel, Daniel prays on behalf of his people and the fathers and asks God for forgiveness for their sin:
    “O Lord, in accordance with all Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9‬:‭16‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
    Why would he do this if the passage in Ezekiel was talking about generational curses? In verse 11 he actually specifically mentions curses being brought upon them.
    “The descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.”
    ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭9‬:‭2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
    Again, this book was written over a century after Ezekiel. Here we see the entire nation seeking forgiveness for their fathers sins, dealing with generational iniquities.

      Ask God to reveal the truth about this whole thing especially in regards to the new creation in Christ and why God said in Hebrews that he will forgive our sins and not remember them anymore.

    • @devondeswardt6239
      @devondeswardt6239 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@godsown4683absolutely, He will! But that doesn’t mean that all the mess just disappears in a moment. Do addicts immediately break free of their addiction the very moment they receive salvation? I’m sure that has happened before, but the overwhelming majority still have to go through treatment. Does that mean that their sins are not forgiven? Of course not. All it means is that there is some work to do. They are empowered by The Spirit and The Blood gives them victory, but they still need to go work out their salvation, as Philippians 2 teaches us. Why would Paul spend so much time encouraging believers to purify themselves if the simple act of receiving forgiveness removed all filth?

      A little understanding of corporate responsibility because of the covenant made between God and the Israelite will help you understand this kind of punishment. God chose these people as a community and sees them as one

    But I have seen families who had familiar misfortunes generationally, but one of them at one point being born again and prayed for against the latter and then from there never experiences that familiar thing. Generational curses come from the enemy, not from God. There are doors that our ancestors can open for demons on thier families which will dwell through generations and become sources of torment and suffering, BUT only through the blood of Jesus Christ and repentance then those can be dismantled from your life.
